I had to wait 45 minutes just to be checked in. I had called for an appointment but they took my keys. Took my car told me to sit down and every employee shrugged their shoulders or pushed me aside. I praise God for Cody who overheard me found my car got the 🔑 keys and got me right back in line. Thank you Cody. Everyone else can go sit down.

Ever since Tipton Honda was sold to a larger group - 3-4 years ago - the dealership has changed from a family owned kind of service... to a much more institutional, professional operation. I think old customers like myself do appreciate the changes introduced by this new management team. * If you need to service your car, ask for James. He is the most senior and professional service agent in the team.

People working there are super nice and friendly however., It takes too long for service to be accomplished. I never get my car back as promised in time even though they are not busy or for simply an oil change. Before the pandemic it was same.

Update: Honda really trys to make sure that customers are satisfied. They reached out to me to see what they could do. Made it a lot better. I will continue to come here for my service needs Old: $260.00 dollars to replace a gas cap. Make sure you know what your car needs before you come here. They do good work and are nice but there is a disconnect with how they operate. They must be too large i dont get soild info from here. It's time to find a local mechanic I'm sure it'll cost less anyway.

A year ago, my 2016 Honda Civic’s A/C stopped blowing cold. I took it to get a diagnostic in. Greg told me I needed to get work done on the car to where the total costs went over 1k. When I told him I didn’t want any work done over the phone after the diagnostic, I felt pressured by him to get my car worked on. One year later, I went in to ask for that quote again. They told me to bring the car back in and get a new diagnostic and new eyes looking over it. I would need to pay for it unless the diagnostic showed my Condenser was the issue, in that case it would fall under an extended warranty issued for it. MICHAEL was extremely helpful, answered all my questions, stayed in contact with me and spoke to me about the issues with my car. I did not feel forced whatsoever and that’s what I appreciate. Either way, I ended getting an additional service done but I didn’t mind it. The cost ended up being less than half of what they were charging me before. THANK YOU MICHAEL!!!

Worst experience in my life, Andy is the worst persona, he didn’t help me and then he never apologized to me when they sold the car one minute before me. I told he that car is exactly I was looking then I call he before I go over there to make sure the car is available. And we drove the car and the last minute they said the car is sold. I’m very disappointed. They trying to sell me a new car 2025.

Customer service here, at the base level, is very poor. I frequent this center and have been left waiting without guidance. Brought my car in multiple times for the same issue that they claimed not to find. I took a ride with a tech and was able to point out the issue immediately. It took 4 visits and many hours, not to mention lyft rides, to find point out the issue myself. Nothing was offered to me to compensate for my time, miles added to my car, and gas used for these 20mile test drives. Working with Moose, I waited an hour until I asked for an update to then be told I could have left since the service would take long. I made a complaint to him and it became a staring contest, no apology or explanation. Worked with Greg, wanted to push a service on my car that was $100s of dollars. After he found out I had 3rd party warranty, the service became optional. Worked with Jose Oritz once and he was actually helpful and worked with me even when things didn't go to plan. Sales calls come from the same number as service calls that are misleading, and unnecessary when you're dealing with service issues.

Honda of El Cajon gives the best car service ever in my experience. Service advisor Moose Parwani was so attentive and never in a hurry to go to the next customer. He communicated thoroughly , explaining all the services my car needed now and those to keep an eye on for future service. Moose was so friendly and I actually enjoyed talking with him. Today on my drive home, I felt confident that my car was in good hands. Kudos to Moose!

I figured out what that awful smell was, no thanks to Honda El Cajon. Took me 2 minutes to do, no special tools either. Makes me wonder why their cars repairs are so expensive. It’s definitely not because of the skilled workers here. 🤮
