I have a 1983 Chrysler Imperial I live withing blocks from this location last Friday I reached out to owner Hubert to work on my vehicle & was told he needed the weekend to clear out space for my car to be towed into shop by Tuesday. No answer on Tuesday..I called Wednesday no answer he called me back to say he will tow the car ....stated he would come and tow vehicle when I got home from work....was told 30 mins which turned into an hour and half later....once he arrived in the tow truck he just wanted to "look at the car" !! When he looked at the well maintained car he began stating "Why do I have all of these parts?" They are parts about which I ordered to work on for the repairs...he than began started making excuses about employees not coming to work, car would be left outside as he does not have a place to keep the car after stating he would be clearing out some space last Friday. My father always told me to never take your car to a shop where they have cars parked outside. Truth of the matter is seems to me he have people who have no idea on how to work on older model vehicles, he cannot make REAL MONEY off my car as I have the parts already...him using that he does not have space is a BS excuse...long story if you have an older model car go some place else ....TERRIBLE!!!

5 Stars! I currently live in the Lansing area and while out of town during the Woodward dream cruise my car starting have troubles, on a Saturday, 100 miles from home. I called Hubert’s, it was the only close shop open not only on a Saturday, but pretty late. He told me to bring it in. I received a call at 8pm (2 hours past their listed hours) informing me that they had retrieved the part that was needed and my car was ready to go. He offered to come in on a Sunday so I could pick it up. Being so far from home made me really nervous to use any mechanic but this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. For the level of customer service I was provided and the speed of service the price was incredible as well. Places like Hubert’s are the REASON I love Detroit.
