I brought my truck (Tacoma 6 years old meticulously maintained and previous to this has had 0 total issues) in because the air conditioner had stopped working. AFTER paying $300 for a recharge they tell me that a hose had a hole and the compressor was bad. $1700 later they “fixed” the ac.. 3 weeks later the ac is hot again, I take it in a second time. They want to charge me $5-600 more to get it fixed.. after I tell them that I just paid $1700, they call back and tell me that it’s just a pinched o-ring, and they’ll fix it for free (why were they trying to charge me $500?). Works fine for another 2 weeks, then starts to run hot AGAIN. I take it in a THIRD time, they tell me the evaporator coil has a leak, they’ll have to remove the dashboard (with no promise that they’ll put it back without damage) they want ANOTHER $1700 to get that job done. I decline and pick up my truck, there is a very noticeable large scratch on the driver side door. Pete acknowledges that it happened while at the shop (however didn’t say anything to me). They did pay to get the paint redone on the door. However after $1700, 3 trips, 4 different diagnostics, and about a week and a half of my time my ac is still hot. Chuck will use his fancy mechanic lingo and experience in the industry to make it seem like they know what they are doing and you’re in good hands, however that was NOT the case for me. Save yourself a hassle and go somewhere else

Their “free” AC checks lead you to expensive diagnostics. They charged me $200. After diagnostic they wanted to triple charge for actuators (I’ve found them for 1/3 price at parts stores) then $160/hr (do they have PH.D’s?) for labor because “nobody wants to do this kind of work anymore”. Since I had watched a YouTube video and changed 2 actuators myself for $40 before, I told them NO to do the same or very similar work for their $500 quote. Ridiculous, greedy, and a waste of my time.

Ice Cold Air: Exceptional Service Beyond Expectations! I recently took my 2018 Honda Civic Sport to Ice Cold Air in St. Petersburg, FL, due to air-conditioning issues. Pete and his team did an outstanding job diagnosing the problem, identifying the need for a new AC compressor. They replaced it promptly, and I left happy, but soon after, I noticed a strange noise from the new OEM part. I brought my car back, and the team found the part to be defective. Without hesitation, they performed a warranty replacement at no charge. However, my AC still wasn’t staying cold. This is where Pete’s dedication to customer service truly shined. He personally handled the situation, involving an in-depth diagnostic evaluation of the equipment, my vehicle, and the replacement parts. After days of their own time and effort, they discovered that the OEM compressor which required a critical charge of the new R-1234YF refrigerant was somehow dropping just a nanogram. Pete and his lead tech went above and beyond, swapping out the compressor a third time and recharging the refrigerant to the exact specifications +1 nanogram. Now, my AC is as cold as it was the day I bought the car new—so cold, it’s frigid! I cannot express enough how satisfied I am with the work they did. The professionalism and courtesy I received from Pete and his team were top-notch. In fact, I was so impressed that I had them service the engine cooling system on my 20-year-old Nissan Xterra as soon as I picked up my Honda. Stay away from this place.. I had my AC pressure put back to normal I overfilled it with the do it yourself they said it was overfilled..they told me I needed an $800 compressor it was leaking.. strange if it's over filled and leaking wouldn't it be empty.. he wouldn't answer that question. I did pay just over $200 for the service and 5 months later it's still working just fine.. this is why I do all my work myself but I didn't have the expensive equipment to do ac.. do not trust these people he will lie right to your face and continue to smile.

Chuck here was absolutely stellar! He listens to your concerns, he explains situations clearly and without judgment, and he always does right by you. Brought a car in and the team noticed that it looked like the problem area had been worked on in the past. This led them to call me and say that while they could fix the problem, they suggest I call whoever fixed the car prior to see if I could get it repaired under warranty for free and save me some cash. I just moved south across the bridge but I'm planning to bring my car to this location for anything I need as long as it can make it across the skyway or get towed. If you can make it here, get here! These guys are the best team I've EVER done business with.

I made an appointment to get an oil change which usually takes about 10 minutes.at 28st and 5th Ave north . I was there for two hours waiting on an oil change. I finally got my car back and they gave me a sheet of paper that they said was wrong with my car and I needed to have fixed. I told the manager I didn’t come in here for a two hour oil change . I never asked you to go over my car like u did. The manager told me I could take my car to take 5 and get an oil change in ten minutes but they’re not going to do what we do here. Then he told me that my left front cv axle was clicking I told him I just paid to have a new one put on, he told me to take it back to where I had the Work done cause he thought they sold me a defaulted park. I told him I had the work done at ice cold air. I said so ice cold air is putting faulty parts on people’s cars, he had nothing to say to that. He asked me if they could put a small sticker on my back window I said yes cause it would give me a discount . The small sticker was a big sticker to advertise their business. They don’t put a small sticker in your front window telling u when u need to come back . I won’t go back there ever again and sit for two hours while they do a ten minute oil change. Not happy with their service and I won’t go back. They need to inform the customer that it will take two hours for an oil change specially when you have to wait on your car. Be a wear that they aren’t honest with their customers.

My father recommended this location to me. I was skeptical because I had a previous experience with previous owners...Quaker Quick Lube but Chuck explained they were Ice Cold Air and moved from 34th. I left my car and boy am I glad I did. They were VERY PROFESSIONAL with great customer service (all of them), quick, reasonably priced, HONEST and knowledgeable. My air is running great. I get the BEST customer service there and a FULL vehicle break down every time I get an oil change. They inspect all the main stuff on my truck and if you rock the little sticker in the window the oil change is only 50 bucks plus tax! Everyone else is almost double that and they only check half the stuff. They can do fleet and old school classic cars too! The owner and the staff are all awesome!!!
