Had a tire plugged. Tech did not recognize I have run flats, or did not know that they cannot be plugged or patched. Low pressure light stayed on and I was told it would do that until I replaced the sensor, which I could do when eventually replacing the tire. The plug did not work, the light was on anyway, and I drove on a flat tire designed for a max of 50 miles at no more than 50 mph, for several weeks before before discovering what was going on. Will got to a reputable tire company in the future.

My engine light turned on so I decided to get it checked. Super great, friendly and knowledgeable bunch of guys that run diagnostics and explained me through everything. It ended up being something silly so they fixed it up real quick and don’t even charge me! If you need a great local place to go, this is your place.

You can tell a lot by what people don't do sometimes. Had a very difficult electrical problem in my Jeep and brought it there for a reset. 2 people came out to look at it, tried to help and then told me the best place in town to take this because of all of the testing equipment they had for this type of problem. No charge for service, just a handshake and a smile. The referral panned out and I will return to Hooligans' next time I need something! Go! talk to them, keep honest business owners open!

Always honest work. I've been going here for at least 4 years and I trust their recommendations 100%. You will never receive a sales pitch from the owner and that alone would keep us coming back here. But, their prices are also very fair.

Amazing place to get work done at, I have had many car problems that were incredibly lengthy to fix and they would diagnose it and have it finished in a day. They have wonderful service and their prices on parts are better than anywhere else. You'll never get charged 100$ for your oil change that's for sure.

Went in today recommended by a friend, definitely wasn’t disappointed went in for a blown headlight, they repaired and replaced my high beams for free! And then told me what part I needed and I’ll be returning to get the second bulb done soon. They definitely do not try to up charge you and are very kind and reasonable and even educate you where needed. Thank you!

Dennis runs his business with honesty and integrity. I went to several mechanics about my car vibrating while driving on the highway, and the problem was never resolved. Dennis and his crew fixed the problem that I went to others for the same repair (I was fooled and my money was taken). Not only only did he fix my car, but he took the time to give me some words of encouragement, because I was having a really bad day. My alternator was installed incorrectly by an incompetent mechanic so, months went by and due to this mechanic taking short cuts, the starter cable frayed off causing my battery not to be charged by the alternator. My battery died twice driving back home from the airport and on the little bit of charge I had, was able to pull into Hooligans’ lot at 4 pm. Dennis and his guys were busy working on other projects but, they saw I was stranded and desperate so, they stopped what they were doing to give me assistance. Dennis was able to quickly realize the issue I was having, showed me where the damage was from the poor installation, called his supplier and got a new alternator for me since the existing one was in disrepair. Dennis and his guys stayed late on their Friday for me to install a new alternator and gave me a very fair price for installation. I will never forget their kindness and they have my business always. Dennis and his guys are one of the very few who are honest and do mechanic work for the right reasons. Couldn’t recommend them anymore since my truck now runs better than ever!

The owner (please forgive me I forgot your name) was able to get me in immediately for a tire repair (plug) even though his employees were extreamley busy. He recognized how much I needed to be helped & to return to work. This is a local shop (not a corp. chain) and this hard working owner deserves all the support he can get , not to mention their service is outstanding ! :) Thanks Again ....

BUYER BEWARE!!! Prices are OK - THE ISSUES AND TIME ARE NOT WORTH IT! This USED to be my go-to place for car repairs. Right across the street from my house - prices seemed fair - and they usually had availability within the next couple days. The most recent time, however, I experienced a slew of customer service issues that will steer me away from returning ever again. I. Giving incorrect dates, times, and estimates. I was told my car would be done with AC repair on a Friday - turns out they're closed on Friday and wouldn't be open again until Monday. Had to Uber to work in Tampa all weekend. Was told Monday that the part was "on backorder" and was given no estimate on date of arrival, was told he'd call me. Call back up a week later, they have the part (they must've forgot to call me first) - but won't be able to see me until the following Tuesday. I call to confirm Tuesday's appointment on Monday, and get told that it's actually for Wednesday. The next day, i call to confirm AGAIN only to be yelled at by the owner over the phone for "calling too much" (AKA trying to get a concrete date that I can actually show up and have work done....) - all in all, the car has been in and out of the shop now for a month with a broken AC. The boys next door at Mavis would've done this job for the same price and a LOT less hassle... this brings me to my second point. II. Customer Service The disrespect I've experienced here is the main issue that will keep me from returning. Have you ever inquired with a mechanic about the status of your vehicle, only to be met with comments such as... "That's what Uber is for!" "That's not my problem!" "DON'T CALL ME - I'LL CALL YOU" ..and more? Like most people, when I take my car to get work done I'd like a time estimate in order to get my schedule in line. When the mechanic tells you the work will be done that day or the next morning, and you call the next afternoon and immediately get yelled at for calling.... maybe it's time to start thinking about who else can get this work done for less hassle. III. Price transparency Everything Hooligans does is by verbal agreement until payment is taken. Good luck getting an accurate or reasonable estimate on time or cost until the day you come in to pick up your car. Expect things to be done wrong ie; you come in for a conventional oil change and they give you synthetic without asking. They won't call to confirm or update you on any repairs needing to be done to your vehicle - you are at the will of whatever they feel like doing. Conclusion: There is literally a Mavis discount tire next door. There are COUNTLESS mechanics all up and down 34th street. The biggest mistake I ever made was continuing to come here after I'd already been treated with disrespect by the owner. I hope nobody has to deal with the headache of this place, and I hope some are able to see this review!!

I've been here 3 times now for different problems and have been happy every time. Not only do they NOT push unnecessary repairs on you, I don't think they'd do work you didn't really need if you asked them to! Always the right fix at a good price, done quickly.

HOOLIGAN’S IS STILL OPEN!! Someone posted on their google reviews that they are permanently closed THAT IS FALSE! They are open Monday-Thursday!! Dennis and the crew are seriously life savers, I brought my car in and they had me all fixed up and out of there in 4 hours. Prices are very reasonable and their services go above and beyond other garages or mechanic shops. They were absolutely willing to work around my college schedule, and were very communicative about what they were doing with my car and what they needed me to do. 1,000/10 for fantastic service, prices, assistance and explanation!!! Can always trust that Dennis has got my back

Very great mechanic with fair prices. Always get me in and out in a very quick manner clean inside and as a female, I feel comfortable taking my vehicle here because they don't tell me unnecessary things need to be done. Marvin was my mechanic for the day and was very patient and quick with my tires. The owner was very fair and understanding about what I needed to get done to my vehicle. Difficult to find good mechanics that do not try to scam you.
