I just picked up my car from jose and I really appreciate his help fixing my clutch on my chevy. He saved me hundreds of dollars when all the other places wanted to swap my transmission. He took a look at it and said it was the clutch cable and fixed it the same day. Very knowledgeable and honest business man. Thank you Jose so much.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST IN THE COUNTY, THEY GO ABOVE & BEYOND keep reading more for my full review, it's long but informative. I have now found "MY MECHANIC" in Long Beach - J&J Auto Repair. It is such a relief to have a trustworthy and reasonable mechanic. My father worked in the automotive industry for 30+ years, and I always have done my own repairs, although some repairs are out of the scope of what I can do at home. Through my father's connections, I always had access to trustworthy mechanics at a fair price. When I moved to Long Beach and still traveled 100 miles to go to one of "MY MECHANICS" for maintenance or repair. This time, that was not an option for me as the car did not run at all, my car just shut down while driving it... it was a Friday. I spent that entire weekend doing what I could to fix the issue. Back and forth to the auto parts store trying everything I could... nothing worked. The following week I was having my car towed to another shop, which was also highly recommended. Plans quickly changed when the tow truck driver recommended J&J. I said LETS GO!. He called Jose at J&J and told him we were on our way. All I had to do was try and start the car and Jose knew right away what it was. IT LITERALLY TOOK HIM 1 MINUTE TO DIAGNOSE IT! Jose had me up and running the same day! I am ecstatic to say that J&J went ABOVE AND BEYOND any expectations I had. (which are high by the way, as I was always spoiled with having personally known my previous mechanics for over 25 years. In the future, unless it's an easy DIY fix I will always take my cars to J&J Auto Repair. My recommendation is you should do the same. Now I need to call the tow company I used and tell the driver how much I appreciated his recommendation. I know it was a long review, it just shows how pleased and impressed I am with J&J. THANK YOU JOSE I am adding to this post as somehow I could not find a way to make a new one... I brought my car back to "my mechanic" Jose, unfortunately for my car I did have good news. She has 250k miles and not much I can do. Hung around to experience the J&J team drop an new motor in a Toyota within 20 min. Very impressive... especially with the small amount of clearance available in the late model foreign autos. So amazing.

These guys are phenomenal. It's a tiny shop and yet they somehow always find time to help you upon arrival. You can't beat the price here. I came in to get my battery checked as I was worried my alternator was failing and they didn't even charge me. Wow! Talk about really caring about customers and not being driven by the bottom line. I will gladly take J & J over any of the big service centers any day!

The guys here are fantastic. It’s not a big shiny shop with a waiting room and free coffee. But they are nice, helpful, honest, and do great work. I came in thinking I needed a new alternator. They found out it was just the battery. Saved me a ton of money. I definitely recommend coming here.

Best automotive team in town! As well as prices these team is the best in Los Angeles, in my opinion I have live everywhere in Los Angeles to the Harbor area. They will never tell you , your car is worthless? Do you know how many people tell me that about my Monte Carlo these team always respects there customers I have never heard those words from there mouths ,makes me feel like am family ,shoot I’ll work for them any day for free just to be around them is a special experience to have in life. Took my girls car and it was a great experience. However I took my Dodge for transmission work and it's been there for 3 weeks without a repair. Be sure to insist on a sales receipt because he works on a handshake and can deny everything. I had to report this mechanic to the State Beureu of Automotive Repair after the breaking of my window and door and issues with the repair that was done. All of there reports don't make sense with the experience that I had. Dropped car off 8/6/23 and today is the 1st of September. There are other reputable mechanics out there. If you decide to go here, get a estimate (required by law) and some sort of recipes. Take pictures of your vehicle.

Jose too a look at my Mazda with a leak had it fixed up and ready in a few hours. Such a great price had him take a look at my Hyundai since I was there and now runs smoother than when I brought it there. Jose was quick to the point and showed me what was going on with my cars and how to keep them from coming back to the shop. Will definitely recommend to anybody in Long Beach and will be coming back here for all my car issues.

This place was recommended by a AAA towing member. His name is “Oswaldo”, sorry if I spelled his name incorrectly. But this is one of those places where it seems sketchy, it’s not fancy looking whatsoever, but they get the job done! I needed a starter replaced and I told him if he found anything else that needed to be fixed to give me a call. Within 3 hours it was finished. The price was practically half of what I would’ve paid at a fancy, well known mechanic shop. Probably got it done faster too. Edit: I can see why this place was recommended, why it’s cheap. 3 months later I took my car to another shop (my previous go-to) and guess what, the starter was faulty. I guess the saying is true. Buy cheap, get cheap. Not coming back here

Brought my car in here, it was having some issues and making strange noises. They kept my car for 3 hours and told me there was nothing wrong with it, wasting my time. Turns out my entire engine mount is loose and all it took was for them to pop the hood and check it, but they didn’t. Wasting my time and being lazy. Not to mention they’re very rude and unfriendly.

I took my car here to replace the master cylinder and brake caliper. When I when to pick up car, he got insulted when I asked him if I could test drive the car. I didn't notice until I got home, but my brake lights were no longer working. I took it back and he refused to take accountability for the brake lights. After arguing (no professionalism) with me, he finally decided to look into the brake light issue. When I got there to pick up the car a second time, he quickly showed me how the brake lights were now turning on and the car was now "fixed". It wasn't until I got home that I realized the brake lights wouldn't turn off now. At this point, I decided to cut my losses and take it to a new shop. The new ship confirmed the electrical wiring had been tampered with. Terrible customer service here, but the worst part is no sense of pride in their work. The "cheap" prices end up costing more in the long run.

It may look unprofessional to some, but let me tell you i bring me cars 60 miles because they know their business. The price is unbeatable. And the owner is the most honest fair person in the business. And if you want to get a safe cheap ride he's always got something to sell. I don't usually write reviews or give 5 stars, this place deserves both.
