"Warning " be aware about doing your smog at this location, the old Cambodia will make you fail even if the computer says you passed, he gets more money from doing unnecessary repairs that from a simple smog... there's a few customers saying the same thing, do your research online and you'll see several complaints on this individual

Great place to get your car smog and serviced! Jonathan is very knowledgeable on cars and knows how to get the job done! I went to my usual smog car for years to get it done, but the one time I didn't passed, the other smog shop had no solution for me besides to get my O2 sensor and Catalyst Convert replaced but couldn't guarantee or sound confident enough in their answer... Before considering those options, I was referred by a friend to go see RC Hi-Tech and luckily spoke to Jonathan who tested my car and came up with alternatives/options to my problem. He informed me about the CAP program (Consumers Assistant Program) which I could apply to fix my catalyst converter and O2 at no cost to me, but before I did that, Jon advised me to drive the car for about 30 minutes to an hour and come back to see if my car would pass because sometimes the car just needs to be warmed up and cleaned out from all the build up and gunk in my car &&& BAM like that my car PASSED with flying colors!!! Thanks Jonathan and RC Hi-Tech! Save me a lot of time, money, and headaches. Definitely recommending this shop and Jon to everyone! #FiveStars

Been to at least a dozen repair /smog stations in long beach spent thousands of dollars in repairs on me and my girlfriends vehichles and am pretty knowledgeable, when it comes to auto repairs , and have been so dissapointed in 95% of the shops I've been to ,this place, it owners and staff have been a pleaseant surprise Honest ,knowledgeable and fair pricing this is now my goto shop when I do not have time or ability to do the work myself I highly recomend RC HiTech to anyone in need of auto.smog repairs !@. My car was misfiring. After going to 2 auto repair shops and leaving because of predatory prices because I'm a woman, I was RELIEVED to check out RC's. The owner is very clear, honest, and professional. He explained exactly what was wrong with my car. He charged me a fair price to change my spark plugs and to do an oil change. You may bring your own filter and car oil for a cheaper price. I got my car fixed the same day. Furthermore, there is English, Khmer, and Spanish spoken at this shop. There are 2 cute doggos to keep you company too as you wait. Overall, I am so happy to have finally found a mechanic who is transparent and reliable.

Great place to get your car fixed! I went to pepboys they told me what the issue was and they were going to charge me over $200 to fix. I decided to get get my car checked again from a different location and they told me it was only my spark plugs and it ended up being an inexpensive fix. Jonathan is a very helpful person and this place will never lie about what is wrong with your car. They will get your car fixed. This is my go to spot to get my car maintenanced and get my car fixed if I have any issues. Thanks!

THANK YOU JONATHAN!! I believe I may have found an excellent new place to care for my car, after living in Long Beach for 4 yrs! My trusted mechanic is located in Harbor City. My new mechanic, here at Rc Hi-tech took the time and explained the process used to smog my old, but barely over 100K 2000 Saturn. He thought the catalytic converter was replaced with an unknown part, so he said he'd have to fail it. I thought that was the reason it cost so much 2 yrs ago. 15 minutes later Jonathan came back and said, "IT PASSED! And my car was manufactured in a different state, amd thats why the CC came up as 'unusual). I wanted to hug him and cry because of the pure relief!

I recommend asking for Nora he is very knowledgeable about cars and he can figure out just about any problem your car may have. I also like the fact that this shop has very good customer service and takes their time on your car as if it was their own! I will continue bringing my cars here and recommend this place to anyone!

Showed up without calling ahead and they were happy to accommodate me. The owner was super friendly and chatty and the prices were very reasonable. There's an outdoor waiting area with different types of seating and an awning to help with the sun, and there's two garage dogs that love to play and get petted while you wait. I struggle a lot with anxiety and agoraphobia and they made me feel very at ease (and the dogs helped a lot too). I will definitely be back the next time I need service.

I've gone to them with several cars for several reasons. Smog check, oil changes, maintenance work, diagnoses...you name it. Jonathan is great with communication and is very clear on his pricing for parts and labor. I will continue going to them for more work. Update February 2020. I’ve come to this shop for multiple reasons in my 2010 Evo. He’s done my routine maintenance, belt services, even a clutch job when my shift fork failed on me. The techs here do top quality work at very fair pricing. I have recommended this shop before and will continue to do so.

Jonathan at RC Hi-Tech took very good care of us. These are mechanics who really do the work. Honesty is hard to find in a-lot of mechanics. They also have the CAP program where the state helps to pay for any smog related repairs. The shop is very clean and very professional. Nice shaded waiting area as well. Usually theres two very nice shop Dogs roaming around. Good service, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, PROFESSIONALS.
