I've been coming here for Decades! I Love it here so much I've talked my whole family to come out here from Orange County and they have referred their friends! Unfortunately, I have some ex-girlfriends that come here, too. I guess some things you just have to share in the breakup, but I don't mind. Good work is good work!

Best mechanic and service rated here. I took in my ford taurus for a head gasket repair. The mechanic was honest and sincere on telling me what was going on with the car. He recommended to replace some parts associated with the head gasket and I agreed. He actually explained what parts were defective and showed me the parts. The car was in excellent condition after the repair. Also the price was reasonable compared to how much he worked on the car. I would recommend this shop to anyone. It was a great experience.

Charlie the mechanic is the best I have ever used so far,he doesn't try to sell you what you don't need. He tells you exactly what is wrong with your car 🚗 truck 🚚 he can do just about anything and if he can't he will tell you. My son uses him too. I recommend him to everyone to use him.

I live right down the street in walking distance. I recently started coming here for my car needs. I've had a few things done to my Suburban as well as my G35. Charlie and Arm the mechanics are genuinely good guys. From the first time I went, I felt welcome. There is another local shop I tried to use (which I won't name) but a mechanic there wouldn't even speak about my concerns without receiving money lol. Needless to say it cost them in the long run. As I won't go back for actual work now. I'll be a long term customer of Petes.

OMG, this place is awesome! First Kevin running the shop, now Charlie, the mechanics here are the best! So friendly, knowledgeable, will not talk down to you, they provide good advice, are priced fairly and will do what's best for you and your vehicle. Don't Take Your Baby anywhere else! I went here after recently going to a different mechanic not far and being ripped off. I was quoted over $400 to get my car fixed. I came here and I paid less than half of that price but because they took my car and worked on it all day. And we're very kind and honest. I gave them a tip because that was too cheap to walk away from after being quoted a lot more somewhere else they worked on my son-in-law and my daughter's car the day before taking care of the whole bottom. Wheel bearings and their car feels amazing now. Not like it's going to fall out of the bottom when you drive it and they've been taking it to this place a few years ago since for this and that here and there never has been an issue. Prices have been good. They're oil changes are affordable which you can't find anymore nowadays. Definitely a place that I'm going to be coming to only for my car unless I see something. Otherwise this is my go-to spot now

People like Pete are what makes Long Beach special. My Acura TLX had a transmission leak. Pete was busy that day but squeezed me in. He hoisted my car up and showed me the problem. The underbelly of my transmission was covered in oil. It was impossible to tell where it was coming from without disassembling parts- which would be expensive. Instead he cleaned the car belly and told me to return in 2 weeks and we will check again, then he topped me off w/ fluids. I appreciate Pete showing me what was going on. I offered to pay- but he declined. Pete is a local GEM!

I was calling around to several shops to see how much they will charge for a spark plug replacement. I was talking to Charlie. He was very forthcoming with breaking down the cost of the parts and labor. My initial assesment is that this shop doesn't seem to try to rob me. The labor is reasonable. They are going to charge me $100 for labor. Extremely fair price! And I told them I am bringing my part, they are aggreable and reasonable about it. I made an appointment. We shall see if they do a good job. I will make additional updated reviews pending the result of the labor. Stay tuned. Update: While I sit in the waiting area, Charlie called me in the work area to show me exactly what he was doing and what he inspected. He basically had all the parts organized on the side and he showed me the things he was inspecting and what his professional opinion on how to best maintain my car engine. He did not by any means was trying to sell me crap that I didn't need. We had about a few minute conversation on proper maintainance on my car. What I can tell you about this man, he is honest. He was not talking to me as if I am some dim witted female. He was talking to me as if I was his friend and just plainly explained his assesment. So, for those of you ladies who have had that experience with your local repair shop or car dealer mechanics where they were trying to talk you into hundreds of dollars in repair and maintance work, you won't get that sort of slithery manipulation with Charlie. I don't know him. This is the first time I have been in this auto repair shop. He doesn't sell you bull. He is pleasant and patient with his explanation. He is informative and would teach you a few things about your engine if you asked. Skip all the other places. Don't waste your time shopping around. Make and appointment and have him look in your engine if you really have no clue what needs to be done. But you can also try to act witless just to test if he is as honest as I have pleasantly discovered. I am not an expert mechanic. But I am not an idiot either. I have spent a lot of time with my uncle and my dad in the garage when they were alive and were the ones maintaining our family vehicles. I have some base line knowlege of how an engine works. It is safe to assume that I have been in garages where I have discovered when the mechanics are pumping bs just to sell me more stuff than what I need because they assumed I am some stupid female who has no clue how an engine works. My pet peeve. More updates: I just saw Charlie wiping down the top of my engine and he also used an air compressor to remove the debris and dust off my engine. Only my dad and uncle has ever done that. No other mechanic does that from my experience. This person takes pride in his workmanship. I am a really hard critic and not easily manipulated and swayed. So, if i am giving you more insight as to the type of service this place offers, it means it is top notch.
