We are so thankful for this company for coming to fix our trailer. True owner is hilarious and they work so fast ! He keep us informed at all times about what was going on and he kept us entertained the whole time. He has all the tools needed to fix you up ! Once again we are so thankful for him coming to fix the trailer so fast. He is Dr. Phil will fix you up anytime and anywhere. This review is on behalf of my husband. Based on the experience he had with the mechanic, this shop doesn't even deserve one star. The customer service was absolutely awful. At the time, this was the closest and most reasonably priced shop in the Detroit area to fix the issue. When my husband initially called, the mechanic was friendly and seemed willing to help. He mentioned that he only accepted credit card payments via text, but my husband wasn’t comfortable texting his card information. The mechanic assured him that there was another payment method available, which my husband was fine with. The mechanic quoted a price of around $4,000 for the repairs. Once the work was completed, my husband received a text saying the job was finished and that payment was due, which was expected. However, five hours later (between 1pm and 6pm), my husband got another call from the mechanic, saying there was an additional issue with the trailer. That’s when things took a turn for the worse. When my husband asked a simple follow-up question, the mechanic started yelling at him and making rude, unprofessional comments. His behavior was completely unacceptable. It was clear he had no respect for customers, and his outburst was totally uncalled for. This mechanic clearly needs a reality check—there’s no excuse for treating people with such disrespect. If you're tired of your job and don’t want to help customers, maybe it's time to move on, instead of taking advantage of people. I’m shocked this place has so many positive reviews—clearly, the bad ones are spot on. I would strongly recommend staying away from this shop.

Yesterday my daughter's car broke down on the freeway. I called these guys to tow the car to the shop 6 miles away. The estimate for their service was $325, so I told him I'd call him back because I needed to check with my daughter if she was ok with that. He got super rude for no reason and told me don't call him back. I ended up calling Goch & Son's Towing. Great service and very affordable; they charged $123 instead of $325.

Dr. Phil is fantastic. He took the time to listen to the issue that the truck was having. He offered advice for the driver to try before him heading to the truck. He explained his charges/rates and gave me a timeline for when he could get to the truck. Once we chatted further, I decided that it was best that he head to the truck and work on the issue. He showed up within minutes of when he said he was going to. He did exactly what I was hoping he would do (or I should maybe say "could do" as the truck has an electrical issue that we've tried to rectify at several shops but with no luck). The charges were exactly what I was expecting because he told me what his charges were. Highly recommend this man and am very thankful I found him.

We reached out to J&J while on holidays visiting family in Detroit. Our camper van started having mechanical issues and wouldn't go past 30 mph. We called him for a tow to his garage so that we could have the vehicle looked at on the Monday. He subsequently asked us for dimensions and pictures of the vehicle (which we provided accurately). After making us wait hours for him, he showed up with a very small flatbed and said he was unable to tow us. Since we were a few minutes from our cousin's home, we decided to drive it back slowly and he insisted on following us - this is when things got very strange. Once arrived, he told us we owed him 475USD, that he used to be a boxer, and that the last guy who "messed with him" got into a subsequent horrible car accident which was "karma". I tried to clarify to him that we provided him with correct measurements and information in writing and that he had what he needed to determine that his tow trucks were not sufficient. He then put his hand to my face, told me to stop speaking, and then told my husband he should never allow women to make phone calls because no one will take me seriously. This was one of the most bizarre experiences we've ever had and we both felt very threatened. We paid him to get him off our cousin's property, cancelled our credit card immediately, and disputed the charge. Come Monday we called Tuffy's and they were able to fully inspect, diagnose, order parts and repair our van in under 24 hours. J&J tried to tell us to bring the van in on Monday and that it would be a minimum 1000 for diagnostic alone. I can confirm this was not the case with Tuffy's and they will work on any vehicle. We can't rave enough about their service and pricing. I'm still unsure whether J&J even services Class B vehicles or whether we just got completely scammed. Either way, we strongly recommend using pretty much anybody else.

Professional service came ready to do the job. I recommend them to get you going. The service truck was amazingly equipped to handle any repairs needed. This wasn’t a little pickup truck with a pair of pliers and a screw driver. The mechanic has a long history of being in the trucking industry. I have been driving since 1979 and I thought I knew a lot about trucks. In casual conversation he knew more about a 1958 freighliner that I owned years ago than I did. Thank you for getting me back on the road!

Worst Worst Mechanic. The man cares more about the appearance of this review than actually treating his customers kindly. He installed alternator on a refrigerator carrier and charged me 984$ just on the part. Regular price is not more than 300$. I paid 2100$ for everything. There is a business which profits good amount and a one that is a rip off. Am suing him for fraud. He lied that the product was made in America when it was made in china. I have voice recording of him trying to insult me and admitting he sold me the product saying it was from America. See the picture.. Says made in china. Stay away and read the bad reviews first.

Dr phil was amazing, trustworthy and helpful. He took care of my son and his car! HOWEVER he was asked to send me an invoice multiple times. I still have yet to see it and he is now ignoring my requests. To top it off he referred a mechanic to assist with repair of the vehicle and this guy charged my son 1300$, the guy fixed the issue but in the process created other issues, told my son he would fix at no charge and now he too is ignoring my sons calls. We are honest hard working people. I knew their honesty was too good to be true.

J&J truck & trailer repair shop is awesome. I called 4/5 trailer repair shops & none had any availability. I callled Dr. Phil & he told me to bring the trailer by so he could look at it himself. He called his shop & made me top priority. They repaired my wood floor boards & skid plate so I could make my scheduled delivery in the morning. I highly recommend J & J truck & trailer repairs.
