I gave them the benefit of the doubt because of the prices (3 times!!!, my mistake I know). I thought I saved money by taking my car here but ended up having to pay a lot more since the car was never fixed. Jc did not responded for the work done so I had to take the car somewhere else. I don't mean to discredit anybody's business but if you are a student with a low budget do not take the chances here, it's not worth it.

We had a flat, & were having an impossible time with our roadside service. Three hours in to being stranded within eyesight of the Payne's Prairie Observation boardwalk (& three calls to setup towing), my husband had enough. He drove slowly, & as carefully as possible to JC Auto Services. In less than 30 minutes, Warren had found is the tire we needed, & put it on our rim and back on our car. He had to look hard to find the correct size, and was one of the good things that happened for us today. Would send my Mom here to have work done if she lived local.

I bought a car from JC auto. They were amazing! It's a nice 2001 Hyundai Elentra! Well 2 days later my belt started squealing so I called them and they told me to bring it in and fixed on the spot! I'm surprised to hear anything negative about them because they were amazing! I also need a front end alignment and they are doing it for very good price and I have a 30 day mechanical warranty in case anything goes wrong! I mean NO ONE does that! this is by far the best auto repair shop in Gainesville. My car had a coolant leak and while we have a 3 hour drive back to St. Pete and were very nervous about driving back with a leak. the mechanic stayed after, filled my coolant back up and just gave me a gallon of coolant with directions on how to safely make it back to tampa without my engine breaking down. the mechanic even stayed after hours to help us. the kindest interaction i’ve ever had at mechanic shop. Rude owner, changed his word in price, didn’t write down the exact cost, he kept saying no problem no problem then later when its time to pay he said no its not the amount we agreed on. Expensive work, You will waste money and time, he refuses to schedule a time and will keep saying Waite I am busy while at the phone he keeps welcoming customers to track them. I hope my car issue has been solved. Will waite for awhile then update you.

Absolutely amazing. Radiator broke and my car was ready for me less than 48 hours later. Fair price and even gave my car some freon to temporarily fix my A/C (very appreciated with this summer heat). 10/10 recommend for fair pricing and good work.

Prices were so unbelievably low that I left the mechanic a 10% tip. He got an oil change and an a/c drain clog fixed for under $50. What would that cost at a dealership? Hundreds or thousands. The owner stated he could not repair my airbag, but that's ok with me -- some things like that just have to go to the dealership. My only feedback is that if they had given me a call when the work was done, I would be able to comment on how fast they did it. However, I didn't call to check either because I wasn't in a rush. Overall, 11/10. This business is booming, so it's busy, but if you can get the work scheduled, it will be top quality and unbelievably inexpensive.

It is weird to say this about a service mechanic, but they are the most honest shop I've come across in 20 years. But the weird thing is, they are actually the most legitimate, reasonable priced mechanics around. Only negative thing, is that they are always busy.

After being stranded on the road in a vehicle not able to start JC tried to tell me that my engine was dead and that buying and installing an engine at his shop would cost me $4,000 The very next day I towed my vehicle out of there, because according to him the vehicle would not start and he had been pushing it in and out of his shop. Another mechanic went to check my vehicle as a second opinion and it started right up and I have been driving it since. In fact I drove it right to his shop for him to see me driving it. Was it a miracle that my car came back from death or was he trying to steal 4k? DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP.

I went there based on excellent recommendations, but what I received instead was complete DISAPPOINTMENT. HE IS EXTREMELY POOR IN TERMS OF COMMUNICATION. This is not a language barrier—he simply does not communicate clearly about the work he performs, what he did not do, or why. I felt genuinely cheated. He was supposed to replace a very simple part on my car and calibrate it. ALL OF THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED IN THE MONEY HE CHARGED ME FOR KEEPING MY CAR FOR TWO DAYS, especially when the total job was supposed to take only 1.5 hours. Instead, he installed the part, gave an excuse for not completing the calibration, and told me to bring the car back next week—without any guarantee he’ll be able to fix it then and he will charge me extra for this. My car is still showing all the warnings despite the installation. Just because you charge less than your competitors does not mean you can compromise on professionalism or transparency. Not everyone drives a cheap car—PLEASE DO NOT TREAT OUR VEHICLES THAT WAY. Definitely never going back here and would not recommend it.
