I went to the dealership first and they gave me a crazy high quote. Came to Jim Baker’s and they fixed the same issue for way less—and they were super honest about what actually needed to be done. Got everything done fast and didn’t try to upsell me on stuff I didn’t need. 10/10 recommend if you want solid service without the hassle!

I had a great experience at Jim’s! Another shop messed up my oil change and caused my vehicle to have an oil leak and the mechanic at Jim’s explained everything that went wrong and made sure to fix it up for me. I’ll make sure to come here for all my issues going forward!

Went in to get my radiator replaced original labor price was $500 once I told them I would get the radiator they increased labor to $625 also was charged for coolant labor when most of it was water (TOTAL AFTER EVERYTHING $727) not a good experience at all.

Jim Baker's Auto is the best place in Lakeland. There customer service is top notch.I wouldn't go anywhere else ! I spent a lot of money for car repairs. I had a oil change and the mechanic went above and beyond. He plugged my tire because there was a nail in it and greased my brakes. I didn't have a ride home and was just going to sit in the shop but again these mechanics went Above and Beyond and one guy took me home. If you want honest guys look no further and step right up into the BEST place in Lakeland its called Jim Baker's Auto. Let me tell you: You will not be disappointed!

Everything was explained before work was done. Used parts were shown to me so I could see what they needed me to replace. It was a major overhaul but it was completed in reasonably good time. I feel it is much safer for me now.

I went to Jim Baker’s Auto today to set up an appointment to have my oil changed - filter, etc. and tires checked out. Neil was so kind to have that done for me on the spot. I had an issue with a tire sensor light that stays on all the time, and Jeff explained why and the remedy. He put my mind at ease by letting me know that changing the sensors was certainly not an emergency and was something to think about if I chose that option since it would be a little costly. I really appreciated the prompt service and the honesty of this business.

Had my vehicle towed here, and they had it diagnosed by the next morning. Luckily, it was a fairly easy fix, but they gave me an honest diagnosis and price. They also pointed out other work that needed to be done to my vehicle, But they did not pressure me to do these things, and even offered some advice on how to take care of them. Fantastic people that have been there a long time. I highly recommend!

I received 3 estimates for some body damage on the rear passenger side door. The person at fault wanted to self pay. No problem. 3 estimates, $3999 ,$2790 ,and $900. This is a nine year old Altima. Neal Paul gave me the lowest bid, did good work, and didn't charge a fortune. The car is only worth $2,700. Totally fair price, very good work, and no effort to rip anyone off. We truly appreciated the service at Jim Baker’s Auto. Neil and his team are very knowledgeable and trustworthy. They are exactly what you need and want in an auto shop meaning you can trust what they are recommending to you. Unfortunately I needed to replace my brake pads along with my rotors, but they gave me a great price and I knew I could trust they had my best interest in mind. They did an amazing job and my car is braking smoother than ever. We will also be taking my husband’s truck back here for future maintenance and making this our first choice.
