Service # 2: UPDATE: For some reason google wasn’t letting me leave another review. Just recently had the coolant pump replaced by Joe on my X5, saved almost $600 from dealership price. 5 Stars for Joe and his staff!!! Brought my X5 in for a second opinion, another shop wanted to charge me for unnecessary repairs. Joe was fantastic and took the time to inspect the car and gave a a fair and honest price and assessment. Would highly recommend!

I own a BMW 740Li M package and I had some suspension issues. I google this local shop online and decided to give it a try after I spoke to the owner Joe. Once I got their with my vehicle, he was very professional and made me feel comfortable about leaving my vehicle there to be repaired especially knowing that BMW’s can be pricey to work on. He kept in touch me with every step of the way and when pin pointed the exact problem, he gave me options on how to go about fixing. This shop is very reasonable on pricing and resolved my issue! I WILL ABSOLUTELY bring all my other vehicles to JMS Motors for future business!

First time visit. Joe and his team literally saved my life and the lives of my children. I had an emergency and I needed help. After being snubbed by my car's dealer, I needed help quickly. JMS agreed to take a chance and see if they could resolve my problem. All other mechanics we booked solid for weeks. I am sure JMS was in the same situation with their workload, but still they were willing to help me. JMS was able to solve my problem, when the dealer would not even look at an issue they caused. Joe was nice enough to take time to understand my situation and explain why the car was acting the way it was. He was even nice enough to call the dealer (on my behalf and without being asked) and told them how their awful business practices could have caused a huge safety risk for me and all the drivers around me. Joe and his team spent much more time on me and my situation than they probably should have, but I am very grateful he did. They all went above and beyond for a person they never met until today. Thank you so much! I will bring JMS more work!

BE CAREFUL! Do NOT question how long your repair is taking! I did, and I got 'fired' as a customer. I purchased my 2004 Jaguar from Joe and was a loyal customer for SIX YEARS. The reason for 3 stars is that we had a good working relationship for those years. When my car was taking 3 weeks on and off to complete a steering repair and inspection this February, I was frustrated. The car was taken in on Tuesday evening as agreed. I called Thursday afternoon for an update, and Joe didn't know the car was there. They didn't check the drop box for 2 days nor looked at their parking lot. On *another* date, parts were to be ordered on Friday and the car dropped off Sunday night. Joe didn't order the parts until Monday, letting my car sit yet another day. There is no loaner so I spent plenty of money on Ubers back and forth to the garage and work. When I brought my concerns to Joe, mentioning he may be missing a step these days, Joe melted down and 'fired' me. He refused to finish what he had started with the car. I did not raise my voice or curse. I was shocked! I got the inspection repair done, for the same price Joe was going to charge, at another garage. I also had to spend $3000 to get the Jaguar to pass inspection. This was after it had only been worked on by JMS. Last, and possibly least, but you are likely to have your car smell like an ashtray for a week or two after you get your car back.

I was in the process of buying a car from a dealer nearby and being from North Carolina I wanted an unbiased opinion so I phoned JMS. From the time they answered the phone I felt confident that this business was reputable. The dealer was more than willing to make an appointment and go by. After the inspection JMS had a list of everything he inspected and I extremely surprised and happy. He even went so far as gauging the tread dept. The car was in great shape I bought it and it was delivered today. I highly recommend JMS to anyone needing their car repaired or serviced.

I strongly advise against taking your car to this shop. Months ago, I brought my car in to have the timing chain belt repaired, and the experience was a complete disaster. When I picked up the car, the center console had not been reassembled, and my boyfriend had to put it back together himself. Additionally, one of my side marker lights was broken. To make matters worse, I suddenly had a wheel bearing issue—something I didn’t have before bringing it in. I later discovered that the owner allowed one of their technicians to drive my car home (a 20-minute commute) without my permission, which likely contributed to the problem. The issues didn’t end there. My car’s heating and cooling system stopped working properly, and whenever I try to use it, smoke pours into the cabin. Concerned, I took the car to another repair shop for an inspection. They found oil all over the engine, and the undercarriage of the car. It was so bad they initially thought I had an oil leak. Although JMS claims to stand by their work, they denied seeing any smoke when I brought the car back to address the issue. This is blatantly false, as the smoke persists to this day. If you want your car returned in worse condition than when you dropped it off, this is the place to go. Otherwise, steer clear.

I've had my car in with JMS about 4 times this year for various parts, maintenance, inspection, and other services, and I'm always pleased with how easy it is to communicate with Joe and his team. They made sure to prioritize my vehicle when it wasn't operational and communicate with me in a timely and effective manner. Prices were fair and things were well communicated up front with no "surprise fixes" that you experience at other places. The addition of being able to pay over the phone and pick up your car after hours was also incredibly convenient. I would recommend JMS to anyone else and plan to continue using them in the future.

Happy first time customer. Purchased a Mini Cooper last year and learned that very few repair shops will work on them, and the nearest dealership is 1 hour away. Found JMS on a Mini Repairs site and happily they are only 15 minutes away. When I dropped off the car, JMS kindly allowed me to add a service item that wasn’t originally planned, even though it possibly messed up their schedule. 5 Stars just isn't enough time justify the service I recieved. Let's go with a 10⭐. After a misdiagnosis of 02' Jaguar XType, JMS came to my rescue. After several calls with Joe, I made the decision to have my Jag towed and diagnose. I saved close to $2,000+ from his team. The previous shop said I needed a whole New Engine harness. Joe & his team discovered it was just a fuel pump replacement. That's quite a difference in Auto repair/knowledge comparing the two shops. First time at JMS they gouged all four wheels putting new tires on. All with a circular scratch around the lugs and deep gauges around the entire outside of every single wheel. Was told by an alloy repair shop they could not be repaired due to the depth of the gouge. Joe was very disrespectful and unprofessional to me, hung up on me, and ultimately gave no restitution. On top of that I was told the work would take a day or two and I ended up without a car for 10 days, plus the interior of my car smelled strongly of cigarette smoke when I got it back. It still smells like smoke two months later.

Good mechanic, but... after a service my car smelled like tobacco for weeks. I found out it's because the mechanic left a pouch of chewing tobacco under the seat. With another service, I was charged about $200 dollars for a diagnostic and repair I didn't authorize. Good mechanic, but lacks being professional.
