Had a flat and asked to have an old unused tire mounted on the rim to replace the flat. The shop manager refused, said since the tire was more than six years old he said it was illegal to mount them because rubber can break down over time. Turns out there is no law and that it's simply a guideline to follow. I could have really used the help at the time. I feel as though the manager could have offered to mount it with the advice to get it changed as soon as possible.

I got a voicemail stating that my package has arrived at this location from a man named Cedric or Patrick the message was not clear. I sent my fiancé to pick the package up, they claim they have no package under my name but the individual who called stated my name very clear in the message. I proceeded to ask what procedure I should take and who was this individual who called me.The man on the phone consistently cut me off and was deep breathing as if I was an issue and a waste of time to speak with. Claimed he had other customer to take care of and hung up on me as if I’m not a customer myself. I don’t understand why this would be a UPS access point if they are not capable of correctly organizing packages and keeping track of who is making phone calls for a package they have not received. Then place me on “hold” to tell someone else they don’t have time for stuff like this and if it’s not there it’s not there. If you cannot handle so much clientele and the pressure of so many customer why take the responsibility of a access point for ups. The fact you are attempting to blame this fiasco on miscommunication between my mother and I is ludicrous. Regardless of what is taking place in your establishment at the moment in time, your staff should be well educated on very simple task, for example locating a package currently there and locating information on packages that have left. Your staff had no recollection of my package. I am aware of the area and how small your establishment is, not more then 4 people tops can fit into your purchasing goods area. So McKinley highschool is no excuse. Once again don’t take on such a huge responsibility on maintaining people’s purchased items if you can’t already handle the environment around you. You are some contradicting individuals. Your immediate response is to blame it on miscommunication with my mother and I but then state the high schoolers is what made this so difficult and apologize for it. Your staff has contacted me prior to inform me you have received my package, but being the ones in possession of my property, couldn’t inform me when it has been picked up by an individual who is not listed on the package. It doesn’t stop here. THEN when your place of business find out what has occurred with my package, you would think you would call me correct? WRONG! Your staff contacts my mother to inform her of my review and request for it to be taken down, as if I am a child and cannot be contacted directly. I am very capable of holding a conversation and discussing the situation in hand. Then your staff attempts to contact me after speaking with my mother as if it is not MY property. And for future reference, which you should already be trained on, it is not resolved until the customer says so.

Mark was so gracious! He was able to work me in during a busy day and helped me get my tire plugged and back on so I could get on the road asap. I am super pleased with his service!

Had a sound coming from the rear of my car, went to two other places who didn’t even bother to check. Decided to come here and in no time they took the car for a test drive, told me what the problem was, problem solved in no time. Highly recommend!!! Really friendly and cool people.

The guys at Joe's Service Center are the best. They are trustworthy and I know they're going to give me a fair price. They also provide transportation to/from home while my car is in the shop! Locally owned and operated. Friendly and professional.

I had about $1500 worth of work done at this garage almost 2 years ago. One of the parts replaced was my alternator, they supposedly put in a brand new one and now said alternator is not working. When I called and asked about the warranty on a brand new alternator I was informed that it's only 90 days or 3000 miles; anyone else see something wrong with this picture??? Never again, especially froom a place that charges $100/hr for labor!!!

Stopped in for a possible fast turning signal replacement and was told id have to drop my car off for the day cause they were busy. Look inside and both bays and lifts are empty and no cars in sight. Not the friendliest people and this is my second experience with this business. So needless to say i will never try again...

I have an older SUV and I always bring it into Joe's Service Station for repairs and tuneups. I have always been treated fairly and I find the staff very helpful. They are always able to get my vehicle in for repairs and I am always surprised how well and reasonable the repairs are done and very affordable. Everyone on the staff is very friendly as well. They are also a great gas station as they have newer pumps and they are open late. I live far from this station and will continue to bring my vehicle there for service. I have had major and minor repairs done and have been more than satisfied each and every time. I recommend this business to anyone looking for a shop that is honest and trustworthy.

I have been going here for 10 years. I have had great service. They are honorable and I have never felt overcharged or that I was trying to be sold something I didn’t need. That is why I always go back. They are friendly and communicative as well as prompt. I have also sent my daughter here when she lived in the city. I believe in supporting locally owned shops. I am happy to be a customer at Joes.

They fixed my car on time (actually very quickly) and were fair priced, honest, and trustworthy! For once, I felt great leaving an auto place! I have had many bad experiences at other auto repair places that left me feeling ripped off and suspicious. My auto repair experience at Joe's was fantastic!

We really appreciate Joe’s service center in our neighborhood. They keep the corner clean and are always upgrading signage & pumps. I recently attempted to get gas and my gas door was stuck. They helped me figure out what was wrong, gave my daughter a sucker while we waited and fixed the issue on the spot. City of good neighbors is alive and well at the corner of Elmwood & Amherst 😊

I'm writing this only due to my first hand experience with Joe's service center!! please only use what I am writing as factual information for anyone who is considering to have their automobile to be checked over for mechanical repairs , preventive maintenance , part replacement due to wear and tear or mechanical failure and or anything that comes with the responsibility of owning and maintaining an automobile !!! Make sure you ask ahead of time what there hourly labor rate is... Then be sure to ask how they figure the estimated labor time you will be charged for !?!?!? It will be either Flat Rate or an hourly rate...Flare rate is a pre determined amount of time it will take to complete the task that is needing to be performed,....If it's an undetermined hourly rate , then they are charging for the exact amount of time the mechanic needed to complete his or her task ... Make sure they show you what they are claiming needs repair, replacement, maintenance etc . DO NOT SIGN OR EXCEPT ANY LEGAL FORM OF PAYMENT DUE FOR WORK TO BE DONE UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT IS TO BE DON ,WHY ITS NEEDED TO BE DONE,HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE TO BE DONE AND EXACTLY HOW THEY HAVE COME TO THERE FINAL PRICE FOR COMPLETION OF WORK ... YOU MAKE SURE YOUR GIVEN AN ESTIMATE FIRST HAND PLEASE TAKE THAT ESTIMATE TO A MINIMUM OF 3;OTHER REPUTABLE SHOPS FOR AN ESTIMATE OF THE SAME WORK THAT IS TOLD TO YOU THAT IT HAS TO BE DONE .... LASTLY THE DO NOT WHAT SO EVER BRING YOUR SMALL CHILDREN AROUND AND OR HAVE AN SORT OF RELATIONSHIP WITH THE OWNER Joe .... all you need to do is a little research on the owner and you will be able to find out exactly why I say not to allow him around any of anyone children!!!!!!!

I went in recently looking for a diagnostic, as my car had a check engine light. I told the person I spoke to that I wanted a quote, as I was confident I could fix it myself but their website hinted they had the most reasonable prices around. They took it in and said they’d give me a call/quote before operating on the vehicle, and that it’d be ready by 4 that day. I received a call around 6, saying they were done working on my vehicle. I never gave permission to operate on it. I arrived around 630, and they said they were almost finished completing paperwork, and to just stick around a few moments. I stood in the shop for over an hour and a half (until after 8PM) while paperwork was being done. I got the paperwork, and they explained their may be an issue with my vehicle’s thermostat, so they filled my coolant up. I was charged ~$150 for having my coolant filled up and them using the diagnostic tool. I never would’ve agreed to such a steep price for having someone fill my coolant and drive my car around the block. This also did not fix my problem. I did not return because, if it costs $150 to add coolant, I couldn’t begin to imagine the cost to replace a thermostat. In summary, I was displeased with my experience. The price did not match the labor in my eyes (adding coolant..?), and it was a significant wait. I ordered a thermostat for $25 and fixed it myself in less than 30 minutes, solving the problem. Two stars instead of one because they were at least kind people.

It brings me great sadness to leave a review with one star, however, I would leave zero if it were possible for my visit to Joe’s service center today. I brought my 2020 well maintained and regularly serviced outback in for an inspection (nothing more) only to be hit with a nearly $70 bill full of miscellaneous charges that I was not informed of prior to the work being done. This included an $11 charge for removing and installing new registration sticker (no this is not a joke). Assuming that took about 2 minutes that is approximately $330 an hour labor cost for the sticker. Are they hiring because that’s sure a lot more than I make hourly ! Addition charges included a test drive and tire removal ($10), inspect and fill fluids to proper levels ($10), computer communication access ($5), brake fluid ($2.25) , washer fluid ($5.5). None of this work beyond the inspection was disclosed to me in advance nor was any of it necessary (I regularly top off my own fluids and have the dealer service the car approx every 10,000 miles). I should add there was an added $36 labor charge for all of the above. I will never be returning to this shop again for anything including gasoline and neither should anyone reading this review. What a scam I can’t believe it.

I moved to Buffalo 6 years ago and needed my car worked on. I took it to Joe's because I felt comfortable with the guy on the phone Patrick. I have been a happy customer every year. No matter what is wrong with my Honda Mark (the owner) fixes it. The service is quick and the prices are so much lower than the dealer's prices. The best part of using Joe's Service Center is that they are friendly, honest, and they are taking good care of my car!

Website says open 7am -12 am Sunday. I call they answer, i ask if they have a 255/45R19 tire he says no they don't and their closed on Sundays 👀 How did you answer the phone at the shop and say you don't have a specific tire if your closed. Why answer the business phone at all. Unless 🤔you Heard my voice then decided to say your closed

They charged me over $120 for an inspection and minor repair that took 15 minutes. Also a 8 hour wait. Even after call about an early morning appointment almost a week in advance. Please, please, please dont come here. I hate dispairiging a small business but this is what happened. I really don't know what's going on here, or what scam this is but please, don't come here. Oh, and one of them asked if i was "mixed race"
