I have had the most fantastic experience with K&W Auto Repair. I brought my 2014 Mazda in— it was making screeching noises and ended up needing a new rear differential. Carlos was fantastically kind and helpful in explaining the issue and my options and he even helped work the repair around my summer travel plans! All for a very fair price, I might add. I truly can’t recommend K&W enough. I’ll definitely be bringing my car to K&W all future repairs and oil changes.

It seems like they go out of their way to help you. Their quotes are fair, and they check with you before doing repairs. Edit: Had a no-crank, no-start, and when I called them up I was told that they didn't "want to deal with any more electrical problems right now" and they would call back next week. I reached out when they didn't call me back, but they did not pick up. Left a voicemail and then called a few days later when I never heard from them. Still no answer. Not great when I need my car for work. Bummer since they were great to work with before. Would probably recommend if they agree to work on your car, but as it stands I have to lower my review.

K&W are by far the best mechanics in the DMV. Very professional. They are very easy to talk to. Prices are very reasonable. Carlos and Edwin are the GREATEST!!!. I had a problem with my car. No one could figure it out. They saved me!!!. Not to mention they replaced my AC evaporator at half the price of other mechanics on my other car. I will never use another mechanic EVER!!! I've never experienced an auto repair shop where the people are so courteous, so prompt and so fair. I brought my vehicle in earlier this year for a leak repair, which they fixed and asked me to bring it back in - at no cost - a few weeks later so they could double-check the work. It's been longer than a few weeks, but I brought the vehicle back this morning so they could do that check and for them to give me a thumbs up before taking the vehicle on a long road trip - a once-over I fully expected to pay for. Not only did they check the leak, they gave me a report on the vehicle with recommendations (none of them pressing) as well as the "okay" I was looking for before traveling. It's rare to have a "feel-good" experience at an auto repair shop. But at K&W, you will.

I want my truck to last, so I sought a place to do some routine 100k maintenance. I had a big list of work to do and calculated it was going to cost about 2200. They came in at 1800. (Sounds crazy but believe me- there’s some things you need to do with an f150 at that mileage.). They were good with communication, reasonably priced, and my truck feels brand new. I’ll be coming back for the next round of work for this truck.

I found K&W through their awesome reviews on Google and Yelp. I was in search of a less expensive alternative for a few services recommended by my dealer. After talking with K&W and bringing my car in, they let me know that these services weren't actually needed yet (my Toyota dealer was just pushing for unnecessary work). They also took care of me in making sure my car was safe to drive on a long upcoming road trip. Brought my van to K&W after failing air emissions test. Carlos was extremely up front with me saying error codes are difficult to troubleshoot and it could be several issues. He suggested changing the mass air flow sensor to see if that would clear the error code. It did and I passed the test. Carlos was totally transparent when I asked about rotating the wheels suggesting that I get new tires rather than waste my money. Very trustworthy garage. They are now my go to mechanics. Recommend highly.

Long over due post, but this shop deserves all the praise! After getting fed up with not only the overpricing of the dealership but also the incredibly rude service, we brought our BMW here from several neighbor’s suggestions. Carlos was so nice and completely transparent about pricing. BMW can be tricky to clear service lights but the shop knows how to do it. After the first visit they became our go-to mechanics! And anything they don’t do (ie tires) I go wherever Carlos recommends because I trust him. We are moving and once again will be on a hunt for a new trusty mechanic but if you live in the neighborhood you really do not need to look any further, Carlos & team are the best!

I made an appointment to do a complete inspection here. Carlos was very polite and answered all my questions. He was great. They told me my car was in very good shape and didn’t charge me a penny extra. They recommend few thing but at the sale time also said they are mandatory to change. Over all a great auto shop on Hyattsville. I highly recommend them.

I chose to have my work vehicle repaired here because I had prior excellent experience. Upon choosing them to provide service, my completion time was pushed back twice and I had to have my wheel bearings and hub on the front driver and passenger side replaced by another service provider no real biggie. When they did return my vehicle ac/heat wasn’t functioning properly. I finally got time to return the vehicle to have my ac/heat fixed. Upon picking up the vehicle after hrs my ac is exposed and wires, along with a humming sound coming from AC/Heat area as if it’s not secure. This isn’t how I received the vehicle upon first initial repaired, this isn’t the condition they received it. I’m highly displeased with services provided. I chose them because of there quality service in the past. This is unacceptable.
