VCD is a Great local automotive repair shop. 1 They are honest.2 They will inform you as to exactly what's wrong with your vehicle. And what needs to be done to repair parts and labor. Engine light was in my 2012 Cevy work van. VCD diagnosed the code ran several test over two days . They could not determine the issue. VCD recommend I use the Chevy dealer for my issue. They did not want to guess what was issue.or change a bunch of parts. No Charge. I Strongly recommend VCD Auto. Oscar's Advice.

THE CARE IS NOT GOOD.. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT THE MONEY MY WIFE WENT AND THEY QUOTED HER AN INSPECTION TO GET MONEY FOR THE ARRANGEMENTS.. THEY HAVE NO PROFESSIONALISM AND THEY ARE NOT A SHOP TO TRUST.. BE CAREFUL.

I wasn’t able to get my car inspected due to inconsistent communication. Went one day an hour before closing and they told me it was too late, I needed to come back 10 minutes before 5. The next day I came back at 4:40, after taking time off work and was told they couldn’t fit me in. I wasn’t offered the option to make an appointment, so I don’t know if I could have done that. I’ll be figuring out a different place for my inspection since this already cost me 1.5 hours of pay/time.

On January 2nd I was experiencing a coolant leak, my car was overheating. My best friend reached out to a mechanic he had been in contact with before. Santos who runs the auto mechanic shop said he would check it out. I had my vehicle towed from Herndon, Virginia to his shop in Hyattsville, Maryland on Wednesday January 3rd. Santos told us that it was the water pump and that it needed to be replaced. He contacted me Friday; January 5th and said the work was completed and that I could come pick up my vehicle. When I arrived at the auto shop I received my keys. When I started my vehicle my car was making a loud whistling sound that I have never heard before. I called Santos and told him about the noise and told him it wasn't making that noise before I brought it in. He told me to bring it back Monday, I was not okay with that so I called him back and explained my uneasiness with the whistling sound I was hearing. So he said bring it back in the morning. That was Saturday January 6th. I brought my car back to him early morning around 9 AM. He told me the work should be done by Monday; January 8th. I called him Monday as I did not receive a call from him. He told me in his words "We will call you" as to say don't call us we will call you when the work is completed. That did not sit well with me. Through the week me and my best friend kept calling up there to check on my vehicle and we had been hung up on so many times. We decided enough was enough and went to get my vehicle Thursday; January 11th. My best friend and I were very displeased with his work ethics. He never kept us updated. And when he talked to me (female) he was very brief and short and not in detail. When we arrived at the auto shop we had no problem telling him how displeased we were with his services. He told us my car was fixed and gave me the keys. The police were called. When the police arrived we explained what had been going on. The police officer asked me to check on my vehicle. When I started my vehicle the officer heard the loud whistling sound and said yes I see what you are saying your car is definitely not supposed to sound like that. He then walked back over to Santos and said I thought you said that the problem was fixed it's still making a whistling sound. The officer knew why we were upset. Santos got paid to do a job and he messed up and didn't want to take responsibility. They had to hear my car making that sound when they parked it. And they just left it as is and said to hell with it. He told the officer that his job was to fix the water pump and that was it. But what pisses me off is that you caused another issue and refused to fix it. My best friend and I will never do business with Santos ever again. He's bad business. I had to take my car to another shop to be serviced and now I'm getting the help that I needed! Do not take your car here. It may just be your day to be bamboozled! I wish I could leave 0 stars. Smh

Been with them for about 10 years and they are good guys . There friendly to and pretty chill . I was going be charged 1000 from another shop for a repair ! And vcd gave me a wayyyyyyy better deal. Awesome. The mechanics there are patient, knowledgeable and professional. I just drove up to have something checked and and they were busy but the mechanic took me. He kept me informed of the wait time. The mechanic seemed very concerned about what the issue was. He worked hard but fast. He found the problem and I was on my way in about 20 min. Not bad for no appt. I will be using them for now on! Thanks guys!

These aren't just good mechanics--these are good guys. They try to charge you as little as possible rather than talking you into fixing things that don't need it. They're fast too. The shop is always packed but I'm always surprised by how quickly they're able to get to my car. Highly recommend!

Felipe gave my old car a thorough Maryland State inspection. The car failed at first and needed a lot of work, which I wasn't thrilled about at first. They worked with me and my schedule to replace the parts at times that were convenient for everybody. Now my car passed inspection and runs better than it has in years. Maryland State inspections can be intense if you are moving from out of state, but I can assure you that this crew will work with you to get the job done right. Definitely 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had a few good visitations, but recently it's gone downhill. I came for an old change a month ago, and now I got a notification in my car saying I need to change my oil. I check and the oil is not only low BUT black as well! They charged me $80 for what? For nothing. Now I need to waste more time and money somewhere else to get the job done. I'm going to jiffy from now on where at least I know it'll get done right. Not coming back here again.

This has been one of the best customer server experiences I've ever had. Santos the Shop Manager and Felipe (Mechanic), greeted me with a friendly smile, professionalism and extremely prompt amazing service! Based on the codes. Victor (Mechanic) and Santos (Shop Manager) successfully repaired the intake gasket and replaced a broken engine torque mount. Our car is running smoother than ever. I went for an oil change and the experience was fast and easy. The only downside is the one female employee has a pretty bad attitude. The oil change took less time (15mins) then it took for her to give me my keys back. She was inputting a whole bunch of unnecessary information in her system asking me where me car was registered etc and i literally came for an oil change. Then she caught an attitude with me when i asked for my keys so i could leave after the service was already paid for and done. She asked me several times where my car was registered and i didn’t really understand why but literally every other person in the shop was nice and welcoming. It’s kind of crazy i actually came to this location once before to ask a question and this same girl instantly shut me down and told me i had to pay $120 for them to look and my car. Mind you i already came in telling them what i needed done. I asked her how much they charge to swap out brakes and she said “i don’t know we’d have to look at the car first and that’s be around $120. 😂 I’m pretty sure to change my break pads cost way less then $120 so why would i pay you to tell me something i already know. Like i said all the other guys in there were amazing and even gave me some tips but the girl might be a little out of place in there 😂
