In December 2016 the transmission in my 10 year old Envoy suddenly went out without warning. I had it towed to the nearest recommended shop and was quoted nearly $3500 for a full install of a new tranny. Instead, I found KMV on Craigslist and am SO happy I did. For less than half of the original quote they installed a rebuilt, fully warrantied transmission ON CHRISTMAS EVE! Other places couldn't even look at it nor get started on repairs for several days because of the holidays and these guys had it done in half a day, on a major holiday. Do not hesitate to take your vehicle here if the thought of paying several thousand dollars make you queasy too!

Good mechanic. Deceptive warranty on the transmission. Was told that the rebuild would be $1,400.00 complete with a one year warranty. AFTER the transmission was installed and the final payment was made on the $1,400.00 they present you with their warranty contract that states you have to bring it back with in 1500 miles for an additional $145 tune-up or your warranty is void. I consider that to be deceptive. This should have been stated upfront BEFORE the transmission is installed as there are other transmission shops in the area that offer a 3 year warranty for only a bit more than the $1545 transmission from here.

Customer service at it's finest! I dropped my truck off on 12/16/17. The transmission needed replaced. Erik called letting me know it was ready 12/19/17. I picked up on 12/20/17. Drove like a dream. The next day a little snafu. I let them know, and I took it back up on 12/22/17. I didn't have a ride back to my house , so I told Erik before I went. He was happy to offer me a ride 40 minutes away. That night I received a call that my truck was ready, and if it was ok they would deliver truck to me on 12/23/17. Who does that???? KMV that's who. What a pleasure to do business with a company that stands by their work. Prices are the lowest in town, and the warranty is longer then most. Thank you KMV for all the effort to get my truck to me by Christmas. I will only use KMV from now on.

Very poor quality transmission rebuilt Transmission doesn’t shift properly No transmission codes set. And no obvious engine codes that will affect Transmission. It’s only been three weeks from today Since the transmission was installed And felt the problem from day one He does not warranty his work on the rebuilt transmission he just tries to find excuses to blame other than the work that was done to the transmission itself. I would not recommend anyone buying or having the transmission rebuilt by this person. The transmission does a double shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. On a 4L60 E. And good luck trying to communicate with the guy because he does not speak English he speaks Russian/Ukrainian. He doesn’t stand by his work Cheap low quality rebuild transmission 👎.

This is my second transmission I’ve bought from KMV. The first transmission has been in the truck for 3 years now. I drove the truck to New York and back while on vacation, with no problems. My second transmission was installed today and everything came out great once again. I recommend KMV to everyone. Mike is a great transmission technician.

Mike is AWESOME! Honest and trustworthy!! This is the best place to take your vehicle if you are having Transmission problems. They will not try to over sell you on stuff you don't need. I had my transmission rebuilt here almost one year ago and it's still running strong. He just fixed our 6L80E transmission. Do not get any service done here. I was better off buying a brand new transmission after dealing with the wiring issue that caused non stop electrical issues in my Chevy truck. 0/10
