SO much integrity!! I came in with an issue with my car that would’ve cost thousands of dollars to fix. They told me it’s a known manufacturing issue and walked me through contacting the dealership to see if the warranty would cover it, saving me so much money. They were kind and never talked down to me and best of all helped me find the best solution for me instead of trying to get money out of me. I’d 100% go back with any possible future issue.

During a snow storm we had a branch fall on my mother’s car and my car while they were parked in the driveway. Fortunately for my car only the hood along with the front fenders were damaged and in need of repairs. After the work they had done to my mother’s car which took the brunt of the damage you wouldn’t ever know anything had happened. Now this was the second time my car has been to Koontz Auto Bodyshop and each time they have done phenomenal work. Beginning the repair Keith was able to work with me on getting the hood painted the way I wanted and then was able to create new clips for the front fender that had popped out. The end result was more than I could have wished for. Would recommend them to anyone needing auto body work.

Coming from the auto industry I still believe this place does decent body work. I had referred many people to them in the past. However, they now appear to be more focused on pleasing the insurance companies vs customer service and retention. The repair process is very stressful as it is. They would not sublet my vehicle for mechanical repairs nor even attempt to do it. The owner came out with a wad of tobacco in his mouth and basically said we aren’t doing it. He seemed entertained. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and frankly deserve a raise for dealing with this incompetence. 2 months at a body shop is unacceptable. Don’t allow a business like this to walk all over you because they will do it

Pretty meh. Got new wiper arms and one was bent. The advance auto parts guy had to bend and fix the arm’s j hook with a wrench before the blade could be installed. They also kept my car for 5 days longer than estimated. I wouldn’t go there unless your insurance requires it.

Incredibly dissatisfied with the Koontz team. I was informed that my car was ready, and I traveled from Washington D.C., to collect my vehicle. Unfortunately, upon my arrival my vehicle was not ready (50% of the work had not been completed). But it gets worse. At pickup, the Koontz team could not locate my key, noting the person who had it had left for the day and could not return. That prevented me from taking my vehicle even after I had paid nearly $2,000 for work that was only partially completed. Then I was told that Koontz would complete the remaining work, and my vehicle would be ready for me within the week. That week came and went. Missing their projected delivery date, Koontz offered little to compensate me for the multiple errors on their part—three trains, a hotel, and hundreds of dollars later, Koontz tells me that my car is finally ready. But is it? We will find out—but regardless—the service was incredibly poor, and I will never return (except to pick up my car).

TL;DR - Excellent service and work! I hope not to have to go back, because that would mean my car was hit again, but if I ever have need to get future body work done, Koontz gets my business! Recently our 2017 Honda CRV was involved in an accident and I found Koontz after doing some research on local auto body shops. Lucky for me, my insurance dealt with them and it was an easy setup once we got an appraisal and waited for the parts to arrive. When the car was completed, I was dissatisfied with the work done, and as it turns out, my insurance company asked that they use 3rd-party replacement parts, which ultimately did not fit correctly. I do not feel this was an issue with Koontz in particular as they were following the guidelines as set forth by my insurance company, and I am sure 3rd party replacement parts often look and are the quality of the originals, but in this case they were not. Furthermore, I am a photographer and graphic designer with a keen eye, and to me the paint was not a correct match and I asked them to redo it. Keith was my advisor, and he not only was very apologetic, but he agreed with everything I pointed out. Koontz reached out to my insurance company, arranged for an extension of my rental and took it back in immediately - I never even left the facility. They got ordered new OEM parts and during this time Keith noticed that our battery was near drained. Knowing this was my wife's car he replaced that at no charge. Now this is service! When I was called to get the car, I pleased with the cosmetic work done, although once I started it, I was getting all sorts of error codes, so once again and without leaving, they took it back and let me keep the rental. The replacement of the battery caused the issue, and even though they had cleared all the codes, there was one that Honda had to address to clear all. Keith had that taken care of over the weekend and even offered to drive the car to my house instead of my going back there. I declined that offer, and this time everything was perfect and both my wife and I were so pleased. In business, it is not all about the problems that arise, it is how you address them and more importantly, how the customer feels after the job is done. Keith and the friendly staff at Koontz admitted to the issues, made concessions and repaired my car as good as new. This is now a few weeks later and I am still thrilled with how our interactions went. Thank you to Keith and the staff at Koontz.
