I’m so grateful I found their auto service! As a woman, it has unfortunately been a frequent experience of mine when taking my car into other shops or dealerships that I am told additional services are absolutely necessary despite only coming in for an oil change and then attempt to charge me hundreds more. At L & L they have been thoroughly honest and helpful every single time and they do not take advantage of my lack of knowledge, but rather work to inform and educate me. When they suggest certain work be done, it is very clear that they have considered the cost and necessity and have worked with me to find good options. Most recently, I replaced all my tires as they were really worn down. They knew my price point and didn’t try to convince me to spend more. Truly, I’m so grateful that I can trust their integrity and quality of work. They are wonderful and I recommend them to everyone!

This shop has earned my loyalty and I recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic on the north side. I never feel taken advantage of here, I’m always well communicated with, and transparency with cost is always appreciated. They’re quick with service and always professional. As a woman, it’s hard to find an auto shop that respects you, your time, your money, and not talk to you like you’re dumb. They’ll be my go to for as long as I live in the area.

You cannot find a better auto repair shop in Chicago. I have been going here for a couple of years and have always been satisfied with the service. They are honest and straightforward about what your car needs, but help you prioritize what should be fixed to ensure the car is safe to drive. The prices are fair as well. I can’t say enough good things about this place! If you need your car fixed, TAKE IT TO L&L! They also have a lot with some really great used cars for sale, so if you’re in the market for a car definitely check them out.

I decided to try service here instead of my longtime dealership where I purchased my vehicle. The takeaways: they are honest and hardworking. They went the extra mile for me in their inspection and service. I learned they also have auto sales of pre-owned cars. Not only will I use them again, but highly recommend. They have helped me out in so many ways. Helped me figure out a tow, dealt with my insurance when I got sideswiped, any minor assistance I need and also major work.... even if I should've done it forever ago! They don't make me feel shameful when I can't afford something. They are realistic and prioritize. I was so grateful when they were there for me after my accident, they knew exactly what my insurance needed. Man these guys completely bailed me out. I was in town for just a couple of days and on the drive up my car started wobbling badly. I had no idea what had happened. Well they were booked but they still took my car in and the next day I was all set even though they had a line out the door. Turned out one of my tires was the problem. I asked to replace both tires up front and to get an alignment. Not only did I get a great deal on the tires but they didn’t charge me for an alignment because I didn’t need one. Man I thought I was going to pay a fortune but nope. A truly great price and fantastic communication. I could go on and on. You never know you you can trust in that business. Especially when you’re out of town. But you can rest assured that these guys will treat you more than fairly. 10/10 recommendation.

I went to L&L Auto Service to have Child Passenger Safety certified tech Daisy help me with car seat installation. She was excellent. She provided a wealth of information about car seat safety as we worked and gave reasons for why things needed to be done a certain way, made sure the seat was super secure, answered all of my questions, and gave me very helpful written materials. L&L did charge a fee, but it was well worth it. Even if you think you have installed a car seat correctly, please get it checked by a certified tech to be sure. And if you live on or near the north side of Chicago, I highly recommend Daisy!
