The owner, Doug, is the most horrible, condescending person I've had the displeasure of dealing with. I tried to ask a question about some work that had been done on my car and he was extremely rude and hostile. The parts that were worked on began malfunctioning a year later and I when I called he clearly was outraged that I questioned him on the work.

One of the worst shops I have ever had to deal with. Owner was very rude to me over the phone(quote from Doug “end of conversation” and hung up the phone) after asking a simple question about my suspension and if it could have been broken in the event of fixing my frame. They also replaced my radiator and ac condenser which broke (because of them) and I even had called up there and they accepted said damage. In the same phone call he was rude to me, he lied about ever touching my radiator and condenser which we payed 2000 dollars for and have receipts for.

What condition should my car be in Doug when your LaPorte’s Pain and Body, inc does repairs??? They broke the back glass of our vehicle, replaced it without the tint, and then Doug had the nerve to act like he was doing us a favor by replacing it. Why?!? Returned the car to us dirty. The work that was expected of the service they advertised was unfinished when they said the car was “ready”. We had to return the car to them, and the car that was returned to us for the second time is still incomplete. The Mercedes dealership that referred us will be notified. SMH. Such ugly service and maintenance. Leery of what else was done to my car without my knowing. Especially after reading the other complaints. I will be working a little harder on exposing the shoddy work, than was done on my vehicle’s repairs.

I wish I would’ve taken the time to read all the negative reviews because they’re accurate. Terrible. terrible, terrible, terrible experience. The quote was way higher than everyone else, they suggested to repair things that weren’t even needed and they dismantled parts of the body before everything was completely approved from the insurance company. When asked to put things back because I found an honest shop they complained and used ZIP TIES to put the bumper of our BMW !! You’re better off anywhere else. I’m SHOCKED that Progressive recommends them.

I want to thank the owner or manager of this business for fixing the head light of my car. I tried with other body shop but the person I talked to did not seem interested in helping me, so I found La Porte’s through the GPS showing good ratings. He fixed it in less than 20 minutes, told me the problem, and sent me home. He did not charge me, and now I feel indebted.

Someone put a dent in our driver's side door. We stopped by to get a quote. The guy looked at it, buffed it, and try his best to make it look less noticeable as possible. He didn't charge us anything. Giving 5 stars because he didn't have to do that and he was a true stand up guy...was very honest. He would have to take apart the panels and etc and he didn't think it was worth it.

I was involved in an accident, someone hit me and ran, tore my front bumper half off and damaged side panel.so I had to go through my insurance.I got 2 different quotes from body shops, one being laportes.when I called my insurance company to let them know I was going with LaPortes , they Said "are you sure they are not rated as highly or high as the opposing body shop" , I Said yes.because both shops can do the body work but what stood out to me was the guy at la portes came out gave me a quote, very nice, accommodating, personable, and walked me through the estimate and even went back in to do another quote if I would try out of pocket pay,walked through that as well. The other company did not.The lady over the phone at laportes was very nice as well..I love personable customer service, and i know if i had any issue,it'd be easier to communicate with this company...I picked up my car in a timely manner upon completion, even factoring in the storm/Hurricane Francine,it still was timely. My car looked brand new and the best it looked in years. And lifetime warranty on their body work. 10 out of 10, I highly recommend!

The original reason I brought it in was for body work repair that was part of my insurance claim and since I was there I got some additional damage repaired and they were very fair and honest about the pricing and the work they did. In addition to being super easy to work with they got the job done faster than originally promised and did an amazing job. Couldn't recommend more.
