I am so very disappointed and angry with LaFontaine Collision. I had an interior car fire due to a battery defect on December 20, 2019. Although we told the tow company we wanted it taken to LaFontaine Jeep in Saline it was taken to the collision center in Ypsilanti. (Although, at this point, I'm not sure it would have made a difference.) The insurance company approved repairs on the 24th and we received a call from Mike on the 26th saying that they had received the go-ahead from the insurance company, the parts were on order and we were second in line for repairs and should be repaired by January 3. Since then we have received various excuses and outright lies as to why the vehicle has not been repaired. It is now January 17 and we still do not have the vehicle back. We are now being told that it will be ready on January 23, but we are not holding out much hope. I had a negative experience with LaFontaine in the past and swore I would never go back, but they had the vehicle I wanted so we went ahead and gave them another chance. The sale was very smooth; they are obviously very happy to take your money. However, when it comes to service they are proving, again, to be incompetent and dishonest. Unfortunately, trying to contact someone at the corporate level is no less frustrating, which explains the TOTAL LACK OF INTEGRITY at the lower levels. If you are considering #LaFontaine# for any sales or service I would advise you to run, not walk, in the opposite direction.

All I needed was a quote on my car. I go in told it will be 15 minutes 50 minutes later I’m on my way for the next four days I have been waiting to get the quote quite simple isn’t it it’s the simple tasks That just seem undoable for some people. Went to a nice shop in saline and got my quote right away after 10 minutes. They also didn’t get in my car and drive it to the back to check it out, just quick,efficient, and correct.

After an accident, my car was sent here because it was a preferred repair shop. The accident happened on a Thursday. I called the body shop on Monday to find out the status and was told by someone there that it was totaled and that I should contact them when I hear from my insurance agency so I can set up a time to come collect my items from the car. I heard from the insurance agency on Tuesday and called LaFontaine on Tuesday to tell them I would be there Wednesday evening to collect my items. After about an hour drive (because of traffic), I found out that my car had been given over to a 3rd party and towed about 45 minutes away from my home. I did not give permission to have the car removed. I had, according to my insurance company, until Friday to claim my items. The manager, George, who gave permission to take my car, has not expressed any regret for making this mistake. I now have to either a) drive 45 minutes to the new location of my car to get my belongings, or b) get my insurance company to tell the company who has my car to remove my belongings and mail them to me. Since this was the car my son drove, I will not know if we actually get everything that was in the car. Do not trust LaFontaine Collision. This was a huge mistake on their part and they are doing very little to make it right. All of the burden is falling on my shoulders when the mistake was clearly on their part.

I have had the unfortunate circumstances of needing their services twice. Each time, their staff has been exceptional. They are kind, professional and willing to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction. They have continued to exceed my expectations and I am grateful for their wonderful care and attention to detail. Adam, the manager, and his staff have made the difficult process after an accident, as easy as they could. They took time to throughly answer all of my questions and explained every part of the process. If you find yourself needing collision/repair services, you won’t be unsatisfied here!

Happened 2 years ago. Had surface rust on a 2017 Chevy Sonic. Called and set up an appointment. Got to this place and the guy who I had an appointment with wasn't even on the property. Drove an hour and a half to get here. Guy called me and rescheduled and a half hour before the next meeting. They canceled on me. Pretty shady place if you ask me

I went here to get a quote on a simple headlight repair and they refused to prepare an estimate until I filed a claim with my insurance. They refused to even look at the vehicle. I'm not a an expert but this process seemed a little backwards to me. Overall, I was very disappointed how quickly they turned me away after I walked in the door and how rude their staff was in the little interaction we had. I brought my vehicle to another body shop on other side of town where I was treated much more respectfully and actually got a repair estimate, no questions asked! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Sad to say that my experience wasn't good. I made an appointment to drop my vehicle off, which took weeks, and then they were unable to start working on my car for nearly 2 weeks. My contact person didn't have voice mail so I had to keep calling back and trying to reach someone. I didn't receive an estimate and no one followed up with me throughout the process to advise me what was going on. I had to follow up with them, which is unacceptable. I understand that we are in the midst of a pandemic and that there are a lot of delays. Hoping that things improve with time.

This did work on two of my trucks in past with no issues however my recent attempt to get a repair done was very different. After over 2 weeks they couldn't even get me an estimate after promising multiple times. When confronted about their delay I was told that they are overwhelmed. I told them I'm taking my truck elsewhere since they are too busy so they sarcastically thanked. I felt this was very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this place is you value your time

This place is fabulous. The work they do is amazing. When my wife was hit from behind (twice in 2 years) the collision damage to my new Ram truck was repaired without any delays. The work was perfect, as good as or better than new. **AVOID ANYTHING WITH THE NAME LA FONTAINE**Don’t bother going here. They are all about happily ripping you off. Just needed a simple partial tail light repair. First they wanted $800 for a new partial taillight when I just needed one intact from a junkyard. When I called them out on it they did get one from a junkyard for $80 and charged me $460 for a 15 minute repair I probably could have done myself if I wasn’t pressed for time. Any other collision center is better than this one. Customer service is of no importance with this company..

Manager Kasey is immature and didn’t like being told they messed up. Shop ruined a wheel and replaced it with the wrong one even after being given info to replace it with the right one. Nice sawzall and air hammer damage just because I asked to have it back.

So I had my entire 2018 Silverado High Country truck painted. I am amazed at the level of detail that was taken on my truck. It came out perfect. Beyond what I expected. Their painter is top notch as well as the office manager Kasey Ray. I even had door panels replaced with new and she made sure the panels were "New", as ones were sent that didn't meet her approval. I don't know anyone at this facility so my review comes unsolicited. There are not many places of business left that go to this degree of making sure you're happy. So, take it from me, This place rocks!

My experience was great! I was rear-ended and needed bumper repair. It wasn't major, but considering I just purchased the vehicle 6 weeks prior, I wanted to get it fixed. The initial written estimate turned out to be incorrect, but the team explained that once they began disassembly, they might uncover additional damage—which is exactly what happened. As expected, I the appreciated the update before they proceeded, rather than skipping over it or moving forward without my approval. Despite the additional repairs, they finished the work earlier than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I’d definitely recommend LaFontaine!
