Went here about two weeks ago to get new front CV axles on our 08’ Subaru Outback, they said they could do it that day but it would be an hour and a half wait tell our car got in then another two hours to install the front axles. We said okay. We were there for over 5 hours. Drove 50 miles up to Bellingham, noticed it was driving and sounding a little weird, started smelling burning fluids. Just happened to run into a Subaru dealership mechanic, asked him to take a peak to see what was smelling. He instantly saw that our front right CV axle was the wrong size, too big and was causing our differential fluid to leak out. Carlos, 20+ year Dewy Griffon Subaru dealership machanic, brought us back to his work after his shift had ended and replaced the axle and refilled our differential fluid all for free. The next day we went back to Les Schwab with the wrong cv axel. We were meet with a rude front desk lady that gave us attitude after she asked us a question. They tried to gaslight us into thinking they didn’t do anything wrong. Saying that both sides were the same. Took them two hours to change the right Cv axel to the right size. Was told by the manager Seth that we could get full compensation, money back, for the front right CV axel. Got mail yesterday saying they only credited us 50$, for both front cv axels it costed over $700, so 50 is no where near enough. Called customer service today, was told to talk to the manager at this stores location. When I said they were rude and we didn’t want to contact them again because of how our last experience was, all we were told was that they couldn’t help us. Really poor customer service, from both the Smokey Point Arlington location and the Les Schwab customer service. We were told by another Subaru mechanic that we were “lucky our car didn’t explode” on the way to the dealership. I hope someone higher up in Les Schwab realizes the poor service this location is giving and does something about it soon, I have seen many other reviews on here with similar experiences.
