I moved to the area about 7 months ago an I was looking for a place to take my car to for servicing when needed. I walked in his place and started talking to him and mentioned about bringing my own brake hose and he immediately and in a rude tone told me that the labor rate was $100 and hour when bringing your own parts. He then proceeded to tell me how he makes all of his money off of parts. I then asked why he charged $80 an hour of he made his money off of parts. He was very rude and demeaning the whole time. I told him I could not do business there and walked out the door. It's a shame because I live right up the street and it could have been a great new client for him. But because of his demeanor and need for an extra $30, which is the amount of extra he would have made off of me for an hour and a half job. I will. It be returning to his place again!

I was referred to Loyds after having some pretty bad luck over the last few months with car issues and wanted somewhere that I could trust. I can honestly count on one hand how many reviews I have left in my lifetime but I don’t think there is one more deserving than Loyds. Not only does he do good, quick, and honest work .. You can tell that he actually cares about what he does and wants to help you out which was confirmed when he followed up the next day after I picked up my car just to see how things were and make sure I was still satisfied! Had daughter's car in for inspections & oil change. Let Loyd know I'd be a little late getting there and he waited for me. I don't think I've ever met a mechanic as friendly and helpful as Loyd. As a woman, I'm always concerned that mechanics/garages will try to oversell and overcharge. But Loyd was nothing but direct, honest, and helpful. I called for a quote on hub, bearing, and seals for my Tacoma and he and his staff was able to provide it within an half hour. Not only that, it was several hundred dollars less than what I had been quoted elsewhere. When Loyd discovered that the job was going to cost a little more than he initially thought, he called back and was very apologetic; he even said he'd understand if I went elsewhere. It was only a $40 difference but I appreciated that he called back, was honest, sincere, apologetic and understanding. I dropped off my truck at 8 am on a Monday and he was done by 11. I don't know what kind of time is required to change the hub, bearing, and seals on a vehicle but I was surprised and pleased that it was done so quickly. He checked and topped off fluids even though I had not requested any additional work and made some suggestions for the betterment of my truck without being pushy at all. I would very highly recommend Loyd and definitely plan on returning to him for future work on my vehicles! Thanks Loyd!
