The service here is unparalleled. I cannot say enough good things about my experience. Every man working was knowledgeable, generous, and kind. I stopped by to get my engine light diagnosed. The whole crew stopped what they were doing to make sure I was well taken care of. Once diagnosed, the problem was explained to me very clearly and offered to be fixed same day without being pushy at all. I opted to wait until I am back home (in florida) to have the work done since it's not emergent. They were very understanding of my decision and remained so kind and helpful. Please support this amazing business. They deserve it.

I don't normally write reviews but the service, professionalism, and attention to detail at M&S was exceptional. I took my truck into the shop in Florida before making a two month work trip to Richmond. While driving up both the AC and windshield wiper system failed. Brought it into M&S and was immediately greeted by the guys, they were friendly and up front, just a good feeling that they were an honest place. Got it in and they took care of the repairs quick and at a good price, to top it off they offered to give it a quick check out before I depart back to Florida. First Class business.

Came in with an engine that wouldn't turn over and had to be jumped twice. Within like five minutes, it was diagnosed to be a bad battery and they were able to get me one ordered and it was installed/fixed up within the hour. Everything was handled professionally, intelligently, and especially kindly. I am in love with this auto place! They clearly know their stuff with years of experience and honest work. Family owned and so friendly! Definitely come here if you have any troubles or need a state inspection. They will not disappoint!

2024: Management has changed - there are improvements such as keeping track of service in a system and invoices, but there are other changes such as fixing things on inspection without prior approval and a confusing credit card fee (which I don’t object to paying). Also emailed the address on the form without response. 2021: Super nice and incredibly fair for years. I trust these guys with my old Mini Cooper and recommend them every chance I get - Wagih is great!

Professional and quick! Had a problem with the AC on my Ford. Dealership couldn't see us for at least a month, but with a newborn, couldn't wait that long. Called up M&S based on reviews here on Google. Dropped it off in the afternoon, had it back the next day, and the AC works like a dream. And the cost was much fairer than what I'd expect from the dealership. Highly recommended. And the owner seems like a great guy.

#ExactChange Wagih is the owner of M & S Auto and Welding and has been my mechanic for the past 5 years. I met him in 2013 when he inspected a 2001 Subaru Forester that I wanted to buy from a friend of mine. Friends, Friends; Buisness, Buisness was ringing in my head as I drove the car into his shop. Wagih checked all the major stuff, asked me how much I was going to pay for the car and shrugged and said “It’s OK. It was the summer of the Arab Spring and Wagih was listening to internet BBC radio coverage from Egypt. He is Coptic Christian from Egypt and has been in the United States since 2009 and he was very hopeful for his country, but wary of the uncertainty, well deserved warriness from today’s vantage point. Last week I brought my Subaru back to Wagih to do a final oil change before I sold it back to my friend. Michael Perrone sold it to me 5 years ago when he was moving to Qatar and no longer needed a car. He recently bought a church in Vermont and decided to buy his Subaru back even with it’s 50,000 additional miles and a new collection of minor dents and scratches. Wagih changed the oil, topped the fluids and reset all the warning lights and sent me on my way. Having participated in a few of my projects, including Free Ice Water and Free Hot Coffee, he was happy to accept 50 Sacagawea coins as payment in full for my final Subaru service call.

Having been to numerous mechanics in the city this is hands down my favorite. The owner is direct and quick. He talks through everything and is patient explaining problems and all possible solutions. The shop charges less for most services in the city. Call a few places and check to compare. Personally I have not felt overcharged once. The service is quick. Seriously quick. The offset is the availability. I often have to be there at 8, or not at all. And on that note, the range is very wide. I have had welding work done, compresser overhauls, undercarriage replacements, inspections, alternator and window repairs. Same day, no wait. All if you get there early. For the speed and relative affordability, I have not noticed a lack in quality. The repairs are long lasting, and if there are any doubts about how long something will last, you will be told straight up. Pros: -Affordable -Fast -Long lasting -answers phone -provides full repair solutions and alternatives Cons: -limited scheduling Overall I have had good experience at this shop, and would recommend it for most car repairs.

Brought my truck here for a rough idle. Dropped it off and they came back with 1700 dollars worth of things they pretty much guessed it might be. I brought the truck to two other shops and they BOTH came back with the truck only needing an EGR valve replaced. It costs me $550. Seriously get a second opinion if you ever come here!!!

I took my 2006 4Runner to M&S this morning for a rust treatment. My car has some minor rust, however M&S was able to treat it before it got any worse. They finished the job within an hours for an amazing price. Highly recommend this treatment for any one that has rust and check out M&S for any mechanical issues you may face.

Our daughter’s car broke down nearby and I randomly called this shop- they came and saved us! They figured out how to drive her car the two blocks to the shop, immediately assessed the damage, and had it ready by the next day! They were kind and knowledgeable, and they repaired my daughter’s tire in addition to replacing the rack and pinion. Highly recommend this establishment!
