Worst car repair experience of my life. They were extremely deceptive about estimating what my repairs would cost, and when I let them know how upset I was after seeing my final bill, the employee on duty was tremendously rude... that upset me until I found out that it was actually the owner LOL - which just made me laugh because there is no way this place can do any business with incompetence at the very top. Avoid this repair shop at all costs, or it'll really cost you.

I had been going to Warren's for about 2 years for state inspections and the occasional oil change. For the most part it had been a flawless experience until my last state inspection. After failing the state inspection for an airbag sensor light I asked Warren's to diagnose the problem. I asked them to please give me a call to notify me before doing any diagnostic apart from reading the computer codes. I wanted an estimate of the cost before agreeing to it. I received no such call. 4 days later I called asking about the progress on my car. They told me they diagnosed the problem (without my permission), and that they need to find and buy an airbag sensor. At this point I, again, explicitly requested that they call me and give me the price of the sensor, and an estimate of installing it. I received no such call. A week later I called asking about the progress of my car, and to my surprise, they had bought and installed the sensor without my permission and charged me $326 for it. This is probably a reasonable price for the work that they did; however, it was not authorized by me. Beyond the $200 price point I usually look into fixing the problem myself or "shopping around" to get other competitive quotes. This was unacceptable by my standards as well as Virginia State law which requires consent from the customer before doing a repair. When I went to retrieve my car from Warren's I expressed my grievances with Mike (I think he's the owner). While he admitted to not calling me back with cost estimates, I was surprised at his stubbornness about the whole situation. After letting him know how unprofessional, unacceptable, and quite frankly, illegal, his actions were, I agreed to make a deal for a lower payment, because I didn't want anymore trouble. Mike agreed to this deal but essentially told me to not come back there again. No customer should tolerate such incompetence; therefore, be warned when going to Warren's for an auto repair.

They helped me out a lot with my car when I was in from out of town. A state inspection is legally mandated as $20, but takes a decent amount of time. Bad mechanics will fail your vehicle for stupid stuff like wiper blades, then tell you they will pass it if you get new ones, often charging $40+ for petty services like that- it makes the inspection worth their time. They didn't do that to me, and I appreciate it, despite not being a regular customer or even a local resident.

Mike Warren is a great mechanic! Very knowledgeable with years of experience and all the tools to get the job done right the first time. You get personalized service at prices far better than Merchants or Firestone. He will let you know if there is anything else you may need to have serviced without the frivolous up selling your find at the chain stores.

I took my truck to this shop when I dropped it off I told the owner what the truck was doing. When I came 2 days later to pick up he said he didn’t know what was wrong with it and told me what it was doing SMH Sir I’m the one who told you what it was doing and then gave me a bill for $350 with nothing fixed and no idea what is wrong with the truck.

I can't stress enough about what a good, kind, and honest guy Mike Warren is! I have been taking my vehicles to him for repairs, inspections, or whatever may be needed for years now, and he has always done everything possible to save me money while getting the job done right! If you are looking for an honest person to work on your car, give Warren's a try. They don't try to sell you something you don't need and don't try to find something wrong just to charge you more money. Really good honest folks. Mike is the best! There should be more places like this.
