Zero stars would be more appropriate. This business took my money for a brand new tire a month ago (which I found out today they didn’t give me a warranty for). Then turned right around today and damaged that very tire by driving my vehicle without my consent (written or verbal)while my vehicle was in for a repair on another tire. They also damaged the paint on my rear bumper. When I called to let them know about this, the female office worker was rude and nasty as if my concerns didn’t matter then the guy who drove my car and damaged my second tire hung up on me 3 times, told me that I need to shut up and that I talk too much! Here I am 20 miles away from home nearly stranded!!! Who wouldn’t be in a panic? What a way to treat someone who has trusted your business on TWO separate occasions. Garland who handled the transaction and who was “seemingly” a nice man, never even reached back out to me to see if they could remedy the situation by replacing the tire they damaged. Please do yourself a favor (especially people of color) and avoid this prejudice, unprofessional, back yard business.

These guys are the best. They're friendly, don't try to play any games with you, and even though I just started taking my car to them, they treat me almost like family. While waiting for service, I've seen them interact with long-time customers, and there's obviously a huge level of trust. I'm so glad we found them!

As a woman, I feel it is such a gift to find a Mechanic shop that is honest, professional, and capable. Bill Crumpton Tire & Auto fulfills all those categories. We have taken all of our cars to Crumpton, and they have kept our cars (which are honestly quite old) running well. We have taken a Nissan SUV, a foreign sedan, and our Nissan family van to Crumpton, and they have provided all sorts of needed repairs including working on an engine mount, brake lines, front end suspension, and fixing a broken starter. They also perform Virginia State Inspections in a timely, honest fashion. We have also purchased new tires from Crumpton. Not only do they always do excellent work, they do so at a VERY fair price. Crumpton Tire is an excellent business; I recommend them to my family and friends.

I blew a tire while out of town from North Carolina, and was so glad I found this spot. They were able to get me in promptly to get me new tires and align them for a very reasonable cost, and the customer service was top notch. If I lived in Richmond I would absolutely take my car here regularly. Thank you guys for getting me back on the road!

I brought my vehicle in for an alignment, a standard maintenance issue. The tech called to let me know they adjusted the steering in addition to conducting the alignment when notifying me it was ready for pick up. I noticed it was driving funny (alignment issue seemed to be worse than prior to bringing it in) and brought it back in the next morning. I anticipated they over adjusted the steering. I waited for a little over an hour for the same tech to come tell me that they will need more time with it (they weren't entirely sure of the issue) and for me to bring it back in. I notified them that I was in Richmond temporarily so I am concerned that I'm about to drive a considerable distance with poor alignment and I don't have plans to be back. They reassured me the alignment is correct. I get back home, took the car to a mechanic and they had to fix what this place did. Complete waste of money as I now had to pay for 2 alignments and wasted hours of time. Do not recommend this place.

I’m mechanically inclined - I rebuild engines in my spare time. For work that I don’t feel like doing or that I don’t have the tools to do, I bring all my cars to Crumpton. They’re honest, efficient, and do great work at a reasonable price. I’ve never had them recommend work that didn’t need to be done. Rarity these days in the automotive industry.

I took my car to Ford in October and had a couple things done and also explained that I’m having air leaking on my front driver side tire, I explained to them that these are brand new tires as of last year and I also know it’s not a valve stem problem and specifically said that I believe it’s build up on the rim interfering with the seal between the tire and the rim after a 6 1/2 hour wait he tells me they took all 4 tires off and cleaned them out and found no leaks..ummm I told you it’s not the tires, it’s the rim(note to everyone.. don’t go to Ford dealership) Fast forward to February me and my husband end up chatting with this young lady and we were talking cars and I mentioned trying to find someone that can help me with my tire, I know the problem but can’t find anyone that can help me and she mentions her brother Zach and he works at Bill Crumpton Auto so I call and made an appointment and I meet Zach and explain the issue and he was happy to help and actually listened to what I said, an hour and a half later he fixed the problem, sure enough it was build up on my rim, fast forward 6 weeks and my tire is still holding air perfectly. Thank you Zach, thank you for listening to me and not thinking I don’t know what I’m talking about because I’m a girl.

I arrived in Richmond yesterday with a slow leak in my tire. Mechanic aired it up for me prior to them closing. I was advised to return next day when company was opened which was no problem as my hotel was right across the street. Went out this morning to total flat tire. Long story short, I was able to get the car to the shop. They pulled out a long nail and repaired my tire. Much thanks to Garland, Nicholas, and the team. Great work for reasonable price
