Brought my 4runner in to have a new rear differential and some other parts replaced. The price for labor was considerably lower than another quote I had gotten, and Mac’s got the job done in one day. Very friendly people, and they did a excellent job on everything. I will definitely have Mac’s take care of all my future repair needs, and won’t hesitate to refer anyone I know who needs automotive work done. It’s really hard to find a mechanic who you can trust and has fair pricing, and Tyson went above and beyond.

Was told they would inspect it and give me a quote. When the price was much higher than what was expected per a phone call before bringing it in, I decided to do the job myself. Was then told there was a $57 inspection fee. This was never mentioned when I brought it in. They pointed to a small sign on the counter that showed various fees. It was not clearly visible when entering the office nor was any mention made. It would have been proper to have said there was a fee for the inspection when I dropped it off. Very disappointed and feel tricked. Update After speaking with the Portland manager he understood and refunded my money. He said they are changing and billing up front so there is no confusion.

We have been bringing four cars here for four years. Our daughter needed a new alternator as we replaced battery and it wouldn't stay charged. Took it on and told them it was her alternator. Called her back and confirmed it was indeed her alternator. Quoted her $1100 we us ad no idea how much these things cost and since we have been coming here for so long they would be honest. After thinking about it a bit thought that seemed high. Called around to couple other places in town highest quote $750. Called the manager let him know. Asked for him to do the right thing and adjust price. He then says oh they are probably using cheap or refurbished parts. Not true brand new. Then asked me if it included the diagnostic fee. I told them what it was and even if they hooked it up to machine the fee for that was $350???? He then tells me he paid $600 for just the alternator. Looked only could not find one for more than $300. Told him and our four cars would not be returning. Your choice. Ripped off a young girl got called out and would not make it right . Do not use this place for car repairs.

The mechanic did fulfilled his services for me however the service wait was so slow. He parked my vehicle in the bay around 9:30 but took him til noon just to complete the inspection phase. No inspection ever goes 3 hours long. As for billing, what the heck is shop supplies? I asked the employee he gave no response. I lost a day of work due to slow services.

I highly recommend Mac's Radiator. I was having a hard time finding any parts store have these fittings I needed for the lines that ran from transmission to the radiator. Every place I went I was there at least 20 minutes plus. So went to Mac's Radiator and low and behold took them no time, less than 5 minutes to know exactly what was needed. Tyson was very helpful, super nice and quite the gentleman. Thank you Tyson for your expertise and all your help.

I had a great experience at Mac's Automotive. The chassis A/C in my Sprinter van was not delivering cold air. Mac's took it in right away and worked with my warranty company, as well. My truck lost its serpentine belt due to idler and tensioner pulley failures. We had it towed to Mac’s that night. Early the next day I was contacted and given a description of what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix. I gave approval to move forward and my truck repair was completed the next day. This is pretty good turn around for a repair with no appointment. They knew I needed the truck for work so turned it around as soon as possible.
