The first time i went to take my wife’s truck to get brakes. The customer service was excellent,however; the brakes went out and the truck had to be taken back and fixed. I figured everyone makes mistakes they were nice I’ll go back. I took my car in and had it worked on the check engine light was on. Now it comes on intermittently. Recently my wife took her truck to have it fixed and later the problem became a major issue with her not being able to put gas in her vehicle. I went in to intervene and lead mechanic/diagnostic tech and I had a heated exchange. I was trying to explain one thing and he was defensive saying he just fixed what he was told to fix and that the truck was never diagnosed. After several exchanges he walked out slamming the door. The very pleasant manager tried to calm the situation down and to no avail. The vehicle is still not working. My wife went to speak with them today and was told the mechanic was “in his feelings” and wouldn’t fix her truck. This is awful customer service. I’m throughly disappointed by the service and the aftermath of them not fixing the issue they created. I have yet to receive an apology or any other consideration. It’s to bad that this happened. I definitely won’t be going back and will never make another refferal.

I've had to go in here several times to get a quick oil change. The main mechanic is a sweetheart and I had no complaints about the service. If the interior of the place wasn't so old and dingy I would give this place a 5. This is a good place for UALR students to go to as they have student discounts also!!

It took 2 visits to get my alignment right. After I left the first time, my rear wheel was rubbing the lower control arm which was a performance piece that was powder coated red. My steering wheel was about 45 degrees off. The only reason that I went back was because I'd already paid for it. Nice people, horrible work.

Had a terrible experience just like the others. I took my car to change my battery and they have told me the price and we agreed. They didn't have the right tools so we had to wait for them to get them. They said it would be ready next day and I said ok. When I went back next day the car was ready. Except the lady told me that it took them long time to replace the battery, longer than they have expected and charged me much more than we have agreed upon. Honestly, I was expecting a discount since I had to wait for my car for an hour, then having to come back next day. Very unprofessional management. Can't say the same for the mechanics though.

I do not recommend anyone to go to this location. I hit a pothole and I couldn't get my rim off of my car due to a stripped bolt. Took it up there and they told me one price which was fine. I had no dash lights/warnings on my dash when I dropped my car off. The dumb mechanic ripped my airspeed sensor off which caused my tire pressure light, abs light, and my traction control lights to turn on. They broke my wheel bearing also.They didn't want to refund me my money telling me that it was work that was already done and they could only refund me for the parts. I had to take my car to the dealership and it cost me 576.00 to fix what macuils messed up. This was a new car!

I had my front left wheel hub assembly repaired and my front right blinker and back right bulb socket repaired. They kept in touch with me throughout the entire process. Brought in my car and a couple camshaft sensors for them to swap out as I couldn’t myself. Got me in and out super fast. Highly recommend. I imagine the bad reviews are from people who had multiple problems with their cars that one thing wouldn’t fix, so they automatically get mad and blame the business. Good people are hard to find in the car world, and these are good people.

Power steering went out on my girls car. We have Superior extended warranty. Macuils honors it there. Got it fixed no problems. The guy who works the counter was polite. I would recommend this place for repairs.

Horrible! Did a service on my vehicle that was not requested. Tried to charge me $250 for a service that I NEVER got estimate for nor did I approve it! Damaged my transmission and I took it in to specifically have the ignition REPLACED but they choose to repair without permission. Caused major damage to my vehicle trying to force it into to neutral to move it. When I return to show and explain the issue they denied any wrongdoing and treated me like trash.

I wish I could give them a -5 grading; they kept my car for three days saying that they were waiting for ordered parts, when I finally went to pick up my car, I drove my car less than a block when my engine light came on. I took it back and they needed another day to fix it. I didn't have engine problems before , and they were supposed to put new brakes and 4 new tires on my car without messing with my engine.. I had to take it back 2 more times and still had problems with the engine. I finally had to take my car to another car repair to get it fixed. The manager was rude and so was the service tech when I questioned them about this. I wasted money, time and peace of mind dealing with these people.

I have never had a more pleasant experience as a car shop before. Chris, the manager (I think), was extremely helpful and nice. He communicated with me every step of the way while my car was in their hands. Charles, technician that worked on my car, was so respectful and attentive. I came in thinking I had an almost $1000 fix on my hands, but after they did a diagnosis, which did cost $85 but was completely worth it, it ended up being a problem that cost significantly less ($260). That gave me the trust to know they aren't just after the customer's money. Thank you so much for a great experience. I will certainly bring my car in for anything else it might need! I 100% recommend this place.

If I coukd give this place 0 stars I would! Do Not! I repeat Do Not take your car to the University or Asher Location! They are terrible at communicating about your vehicle. My vehicle sat for 3 days at the University Location and 1 week at the Asher location before anyone told me what was wrong. Mind you they never called me I had to contact them everyday to find put about my car and they just had it sitting! When I took my car to the University location my check engine light wasnt on when I left it magically was on and it was making a loud noise when i turn my vehicle none of this was happening when i took my car to them. They were only supposed to check my air to see why it wasnt working and i left with more issues to worry about. This is only half the story. I asked for a manger! They said they cant give that information out i had to leave my name and number and I still havent heard anything! They also never communicated with me the price it would cause to put my car on the machine I only found that out when I decided to pick my car up after they had it for an entire week! They are price gouging the price they qouted mewas 718.00 dollars for a condenser auto zone had it for 250 dollars found someone to put it on for 120.00 dollars! They are the worst!

Macuils is highly overpriced. I took my car in to have my tires balanced, they wanted 30 dollars! They said it didn't need to be done, that I needed a control arm. I said, I wasn't coming in for a major repair but inquired on the price. 337 dollars for a control arm. I went online to check parts myself. Found one for 91 dollars. Obvious, MACUILS is looking out for themselves and not the customer. When the guy lowered my car they charged me 67 dollars for a suspension inspection, all they did was shake the tire! I didn't ask for a suspension inspection, I didn't approve an inspection inspection but they charged me for it anyway. Looks like a call to the attorney general is in their future. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS!

Macuils is horrible now all the way from service to customer service hell they were A1 when Chris was there One main problem these people lost my key then locked my doors and gone sit up in my face and waste my time then had the nerve to say they think it’s inside the car but won’t get the door unlocked won’t get another key made and now after 2 months of my car sitting there, {may I remind you they kept on lying to me saying they would take my info down and have the manger call me} I call them today approximately 10 minutes ago and they are telling me I have til the end of the month to come get it or they were impounding it. So basically They LOST MY KEY AND DONT WANT TO REPLACE IT AND NOW WANT TO IMPOUND MY CAR THAT MACUILS ON UNIVERSITY LOST MY KEY TO.
