This shop was recommended to me by another mechanic that didn’t do something that I needed done. I’m so happy that he did. His service is awesome, they really take care of your car and Al cares for you as person. He a long time old school mechanic and his business from what I was told has been around for years. I have been recommending people here. They are about their business not all that nonsense that some shops do. I highly recommend them. I would have given them more stars but 5 is the limit.

I'm a neurotic mess filled with anxiety about my car and I called him like 3x a day he's always patient and always nice we've even taken a ride together cause I swear I heard somthing. I have parked in the wrong parking spot before and he has said something about but I take it with a grain of salt. He's helpful and knows what he's talking about. I've gotten my muffler fixed and exhaust he's also done my inspection 2 years straight.

They have been closed since the new year (2026). Does anybody know what’s happening with them?

Bunch of whiny people complaining that the guy at the desk isn’t vomiting “rainbows and unicorns” or some BS. I’m here to get my car fixed, not be handheld. This place rocks. Fast service and super good at what they do. Organized, efficient, and they know cars. If you want someone to coddle you go to pep boys or some corporate garbage place. If you want fast, no bs, solid service with warranty, come here.

My muffler had rotted and fallen off. I was able to come in the next day at opening and was out within an hour. It was very busy with lots of people dropping off, and there was already someone in before me. Alan was nice, straightforward, and kept me updated through out everything. The price was very reasonable. Not the nicest waiting room, but who really cares. It’s what I expect from a local mechanic who is focused on service and keeping costs low rather than looks. Some of these reviews comment on the owners attitude. I found if you met him with respect he would give you the same. I witnessed a customer give him attitude over it being “first come first serve”. The owner handled himself appropriately and still offered to look at his vehicle. I will definitely return for my inspection next year!

Absolute worst experience right off the bat. Called 30min after they opened to be sure of what they could do (7:30am). I was recommended by another mechanic to go here for my circumstance and they were rude as soon as I started talking. Cut me off after saying one sentence and said “Bottom line, I don’t want your life story”. I didn’t even get through the next sentence of saying exactly what was wrong and he cut me off saying “Do you know who I am, have they told you about me, just bring it in, it’s first come first serve”. Would not give me the chance to speak to say I’m farther away so I need to ask some quick questions because my car is in an emergency situation, nor would answer any of those questions, the customer service is insanely bad and I would never trust someone with my car that can’t discuss on the phone for a max of 5min. I’m a college student with a limited budget and they were the rudest people here. If you’re close, don’t even bother calling, they probably won’t give you a straight answer.

MM is incredible. They are old-school in a way that just does not exist elsewhere, and they have a particular way of doing things. I've come in for exhaust work four times and have never been disappointed. My tips: 1. Show up early the day you want your work done (though, it's not required); 2. Park in the parking lot if there are spaces available, and for Christ's steak, don't block the garage bays; 3. Go up to the window prepared with a 10-20 second summary of your issue, and no more. Anticipate not being able to hear a damn thing through the glass partition; 4. Patiently wait; 5. Pay cash. You'll be okay.

Scam. SCAM. I was told both my cat converters were bad. Gave the old man 1400 for both NEW. 6 months later I return for the same problem The old man tells me their fine nothing is wrong with them go back to the garage. According to my garage that I've went to for years. Say they both haven't been changed. Back and forth ive been. Im not the professional. My garage is. Never ever go back nor would I send anyone else their.

Best place EVER to go for service!! Had my tailpipe & hanger rust & fall off. I went next morning & asked if they could take a look at it. 1st time there. Pulled car into bay within 10 minutes & let me know what needed to be done. Work started immediately & I was done & out within 40 minutes with a tailpipe & 2 hangers replaced for $128!!! What a great group of guys working there from the owner to the mechanics. THANKFUL FOR ALL OF YOU!!

I love this place! I read previous reviews. I totally disagree with customer service! These are mechanics, they fix your car at reasonable price and expect you to follow rules and directions. They are direct, NOT rude. If you can understand that and you like not being price gouged. Then this place is for you. If you are needing extra care because you are sensitive I suggest NTB or other places. Oh and you definitely pay to play at those places. Hope this helps.

Blunt and straightforward shop. They will fix your vehicle for a fair cost. There is no white glove service. Exhaust work is first come first serve from the time of open. Yeah the welds aren't perfect but they have a 1-2 year warranty on their work and it only takes 30 minutes to get the work done. It gets the job done without a doubt. If you want a new exhaust, go buy one.

Mr alen is a OLD SCHOOL GUY so don’t expect “everyday customer service” be prepared to wait he will get to you. If you catch him in a decent mood he’s a pretty cool guy he will come off as rude DONT TAKE IT PERSONAL good quality work and VERY decent prices. Oh and don’t you dare park near the door he will say “your blocking the lot move somewhere else”

If you have a choice don't go to this guy, he doesn't honor part that'd he charges the maximum price under warranty, and replace them with very cheap refurbished parts, and will tell you with a straight face, he doesn't know why your vehicle is having problems lol. And God forbid if you take it to him on a Monday, just a week off. He will say you didn't say you wanted it back today or the next funny guy. Remember he changed you Maximum price for a warranty part and he put you last on the list to fix your vehicle funny guy.

what a terrible experience. the man behind the counter and on the phone was one of the most unpleasant people I've ever interacted with in my life. he refused to tell me on the phone if they'd be able to see me this morning, insisted i had to come in to find out. repeated himself nastily several times. when i got there, there were already two people there, and he LIED and said he told me that on the phone. rude and nastily. he was nasty about my not being "specific" enough about what's wrong with the vehicle. i don't understand how this place is in business at all. who puts up with that kind of treatment?

I went to Master Muffler and Brakes yesterday afternoon. Allen was wonderful. His mechanic diagnosed and fixed my problem within 20 minutes and had me on my way. It was really reasonably priced as well. I highly recommend this business!

Highly recommended car repair shop! My mechanic, who takes his own cars there, vouched for them, and I couldn’t agree more. Allan was straightforward and agreed to complete the work immediately if I arrived by 1:30. I managed it, and the repair was done quickly and affordably. The shop has a unique character, much like Allan himself. I’ll definitely be bringing my cars here from now on.

Came to see how much he would charge for a piece of exhaust (2 1/2" in and 3" out). After 2 minutes of talking he said pull it in. Charged less than the headache would have been doing it myself. Guys right to the point and the trip went way better than expected. Will for sure be back and will be referring.
