Said because they couldn't put a diagnostic on my car that they couldn't figure out what it was wrong with it why they called Master mechanics they should be called scan tool mechanics cuz they can't master it cuz they don't have diagnosed without a scan tool Master should not be in their name at all there either being lazy or just don't know I need to go back to school

Mastertech, lives up to that name. I took my 2006 Jeep Liberty there after 2 weeks in another shop (I dearly trust for purely mechanical work).. From wiring diagrams, schematics - diagnostics charts, back feeding circuits to track my short down to a few feet between modules.. ended up being a damaged wire in the clock spring. I would trust MasterTech Automotive with any mechanical or electrical automotive issue. Rather you drive a 2022 Jaguar, BMW or a old - but -sentimentally attached 2006 Jeep Liberty. - AAA :) My personal gratitude to these fine mechanics. I LOVE MY MECHANIC!! John is great, he is not out to take you for all your money. I was using a different mechanic my elderly grandfather referred me to and had work done to stop jerking that was happening with my Honda Accord. After spending over a thousand dollars having my muffler remade and installed and the jerking continued, I searched Google for a good mechanic and found MASTERTECH AUTO. This was the best thing that happened to me. John is so knowledgeable he identified the problem over the phone quoting me $80 (he was pretty sure but needed to see it in person) and sure enough he was right on the money. $60 later it was fixed! I go to him for EVERYTHING and I will always refer him to anyone looking for an honest mechanic. Don't get HAD go see John and his crew. Your wallet will thank you.

So glad I found this place! I was ready to give up on my car, but John was so great (and HONEST) about diagnosing what needed to be fixed right away for safety and what could wait! I had called around, and I can say there is absolutely no beating the price, service, or turn around time I experienced with Mastertech! So refreshing to not feel haggled into services I don’t NEED! This review is long over due. I can't say enough good things about this shop. You can always count on John to give you rock-solid, honest advice. 5 years ago I took our Tahoe w/150K miles to him for some engine work (collapsed lifter). Other shops were basically saying I needed to rebuild the engine. Thanks to John's expertise and experience, we had the work done that he recommended and 100K miles later...it's still going and that included a 5K mile cross country vacation to the west coast and back. Mastertech is always my first call with car problems. I've been back many times over the years - I always get top notch service. Recently, at 250K miles the transmission finally gave out. John gave us his usual good advice about getting it rebuilt and we were able to get it to another shop that does trans rebuilds and it is back on the road.

Previous shop misdiagnosed the problem, and it would have cost >$1000 to "fix". John identified the main problem as a bad tire, and fixed another minor problem. He quoted me a price of about $300. The actual bill was <$200. We take all 4 of our cars to MasterTech. If it is one of the few things they don't repair, we go where they recommend. Never disappointed.

These mechanics are crooks and thieves. They stole $4,000 from my father and I. They had my car for over 3 months and never got it to run. I finally came and just picked it up and it ran for a little while and kept dying. There were horrible problems with the car they kept trying to tell me that they had fixed and they could not fix it. They stopped returning my calls completely and I had to call the better Business bureau. They would not answer the better Business bureau's calls either. My car still does not run I took it to another mechanic and they said it's not even fixable. I have proof and evidence of all of this. I want my $4,000 back from MasterTech automotive because they completely stole it. Do not take your car here don't trust them to work on it they will steal your money and not fix anything.
