+ Always were kind and communicative. - They wanted to charge me $1.4K for new brake pads/ fluid, plus told me I needed new tie rods etc (additional $3.6k ) When I took my car to another repairman who I had gone to for years (wanted to give Maywood a chance since I’d moved and they were closer) they were honest and charged me 400 for the same break pad and fluid job. They also were confused about the tie rods and why they would want to replace them entirely considering the age of the vehicle and how not concerning it was. I have no intention to return.

Since our vacations count on our RV running properly it's been hard to find someone that will take the time to fix it properly it's an older RV and Justin and his mechanics did a great job it's running better than it has and 3 years. Highly recommend maywood Auto service for your auto needs I know I'll be using them more.

Brought my car in for some work and was very happy with the service. I had them look at another issue while there for the trans flush. Justin and Kyle were able to address the issues with the motor mounts and transmission mount while I was already there. Very glad to have a shop to perform work and trust what they do and say.

We have been going to Maywood for the last 5-7 years. They have always taken very good care of us. They are honest and quick with repairs. We had issues with strut manufacturing defects and they honored the warranty and replaced them 3 times. Thank you guys so much for taking care of us over the years!!!!

This is an in depth review, so please buckle up. I have a 2006 PT Cruiser. Had a blown head gasket, so obviously I was needing a good solid mechanic to take care of this repair as it's beyond my skill. I did a ton of research on places with rock solid reviews that were close to me, and this place was rated 4.9 stars at time of this review. Awesome, great feedback too. So I take it in, they perform the diagnostic and confirm my suspicion about the head gasket. Took a few weeks to get it in, totally fine with that - staff get injured or sick, life happens. Jeff was fantastic from start to finish, communicated with me in a polite and timely manner and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about him - he represents the best of the industry. However, whoever worked on my car just seemed super sloppy. The head gasket repair was 100% a success, I cannot fault them here - I know how big of a job it is on this car, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. However. I received the car back, and the overflow tank was drained empty. I understand the coolant loop might have burped it, however given that it was a head gasket repair I am surprised it wasn't already burped whilst in the shop - especially considering there is a bleeder valve on the thermostat housing that is super easy to burp with. I also noted a ton of burning oil smell, I put it down to just being the new gaskets and sealants wearing in. I also noticed the power steering was making a hell of a whine when I turned it, and noted the fluid was pooling on top of the reservoir. I popped the cap, to find it full of air and half empty. I had to top it off, and then bleed it - presumably, it got tipped upside down when the intake was taken off and emptied out. Fast forward 12 hours, there is oil just dumping everywhere. It's covered the transmission housing, trickling quite visibly down the side of the head and made a mess of my driveway and garage. I take a look, and it looks like almost no RTV was used on the valve cover gasket. The oil was also leaking onto the hot exhaust manifold, presenting a genuine risk of fire. I take it back, Jeff was more than happy to get it taken care of - no complaints there. I pick it up the following day, and on the drive home after passing a truck, the throttle is stuck wide open. I mean, it's bouncing off the limiter and I'm about to hit a red light. I end up throwing the vehicle into neutral, and then have to throw it in drive whilst it's wide open throttle, and back into neutral over the railroad tracks and ditch on the side of the road. I pop the hood, and check and find that the throttle body plastic shielding has been rammed in so hard that the plastic has broke, and caused it to fall underneath the throttle assembly, locking it wide open. Bare in mind, I do carry two children under 4 in this car. If this had been someone who doesn't know about cars, they'd have been up the creek without a paddle. A real safety issue here of rear ending someone. I fix the issue on the side of the road, and get home. I then observe I am missing tons of bolts and screws all over. I am missing 3 of the 4 screws holding the exhaust manifold on. As such, the exhaust manifold heat shield is rubbing against the alternator wire. I am missing a screw for one of my 12v breaker fuses, I am missing a screw on the air-intake and I am also missing the screw that holds the oil dipstick in place. And, to top it all off. The oil is still leaking onto the transmission housing, albeit at a slower speed. But enough to still drip onto my driveway. It should be noted, that prior to bringing the vehicle in there was zero leaks whatsoever. I'd worked hard previously to ensure that it didn't leak. I am now at the point where I don't want to bring it back for a 4th time, as I feel something else might get broken or be missing when I get the car back. I am already going to have to go to the junkyard to get replacement screws and fittings, and I will just need to replace the valve cover gasket a 3rd time by myself.

Worked with Kyle on an engine and transmission claim for our mutual customer. He was very honest and upfront on what was going on with the vehicle. He located some reasonably priced parts to make the repair affordable for the customer. Thanks Maywood Auto Repair for your great customer service.

DO NOT GO HERE. $4,000 down the drain from a misdiagnosed repair from the owner Justin. This guy knew he didn’t fix the issue I had come to him for, pulled a fast one on me and had me pay him knowing it wasn’t gonna last longer than a few miles down the road. He kept my truck for over 2 months to fix a timing chain, a 3 day job at best. 2 months! When I picked it up it fell apart and was worse than when I brought it in. I took it back, and he claims he redid the work but wouldn’t explain why… then I picked it up again! And it lasted a few blocks before I brought it back. After 2 months of him keeping the truck, he finally gave up, told me he wasn’t going to fix it and to come get my truck. The guy hung up on me after paying him $4,000 and nothing to show for it. I should have read the other reviews, because they were exactly what I experienced, he’s a raging lunatic that has no business running a company. He needs to go work for someone and give up trying to do his own thing, he can’t handle the responsibilities of managing his time, let alone make sound concerning repairs. 2 months on a timing chain… $4,000 and the guy blows up on the phone and hangs up… I’m sorry, but what did I do wrong? I guarantee if I didn’t pay him before driving the truck he’d have fixed it no matter what. But he knows how to scam people. He’s done it before, and he’s going to do it again. Read the other bad reviews. Same stories. Merry Christmas Justin! Hope I was able to make it a good one for you and your family this year. You’re welcome!

Used Maywood multiple times for an engine overhaul, tailgate door repair and exhaust work. Always friendly. Repairs done when they say they'll be done. There's a real person answering the phone instead of a machine. But most of all, the shop looks like a guys repair shop. Not a sanitized national chain store.
