I was on road trip with my girlfriend only 4 hours from home and the Tahoe started spuddering like it wasn't getting gas. We stopped in Gastonia, North Carolina afraid to continue with our trip. We found McClure's Auto Service. My husband is an automotive technician and hearing horror stories makes me alittle leary of places I don't know.But I have to tell you Mr. McClure was there first thing in the morning and we were diagnosed, given an estimate, repaired and on our way in a couple hours. The service was friendly, accurate and efficient. I would trust this shop with your business.

Im more than pleased with the work done on my vehicle. Tommy is straight forward as to diagnosing what is wrong with my vehicles and can get me back on the road in a short time. No price gouging here, either. It could only be better if I could wait for the vehicle while the work is done. It is difficult for me to find ride to/from the shop.

Tommy got my car in, despite being busy as frigg, he diagnosed it same day. I wasn't willing to spend the money to fix my car (engine blew up), but only charged me $20 for his time. I'm sure the rate would be reasonable for swapping in a new engine, but it was an old car that was not really worth it to repair any more. Will visit again as needed.

Wonderful experience (If having to have a new fuel pump installed, four hours into a two day road trip can be anywhere near wonderful). Mr. McClure was very nice and figured out what the problem was, fixed it right then, and was reasonably priced. Highly recommend this shop for you automotive needs!

I've been coming here since I was a kid with my Dad. Tommy has worked on every car my Dad has ever owned. He's the best mechanic I know in Gaston County. So I always bring my car here for general maintenance or if something major pops up. Tommy is honest, quick and reasonable with prices compared to other auto shops. He also goes above and beyond to make sure you know exactly what's wrong with your vehicle unlike others who simply guess. Best mechanic Ever honest, timely and skilled fixes what's broken not what isn't. He once fixed a break issue, no one else could dispite exhaustive charges for 'repairs', by adding a 5 cent washer to the master cylinder connection.

I brought my truck to McClure’s based on my friend’s recommendation. I needed a rear main seal done on my 5.3 Silverado and they did it along with a new oil pan gasket. Price was very reasonable and they did a great job, and I’m a very picky person! I would highly recommend them. Called to get service on my Husbands jeep. He quoted 1 price, ended up paying double. When I went to pay he said he didn’t have a credit card or any type or card machine for me to pay. That is was cash or check only! Who does checks anymore? Or cash for that matter. I was told nothing about only cash or check when making the appointment or before repairs were done. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going here! Total rip off!
