Fantastic little shop really helped me out in a pinch. Easygoing, knowledgeable staff who shoot straight and get the job done. Thomas in particular was a joy to work with, and kept me reassured every step of the way. Definitely would return for future needs. Also, let's call out the fact that it was Thomas who spotted that my front main seal leaking oil on a car that CarBravo Chevy Techs had given a clean bill of health a week earlier when I bought it. Without him, I might not have gotten a warranty repair serviced so quickly, though Mohawk Chevy was very good about it. Thanks, Thomas. Bring these guys your car!

brought her in because of a metal clanging sound on start up and on moderate throttle, i assumed it was my heat shield but im not a mechanic so i took it to these pros, its a shame i didn’t get the names of the 3 guys there but they made the process easy and i was in and out 🤙🏾 highly recommend

I was referred to Meineke by Joe Schrom and everything went smoothly. I needed an oil change and a new compressor for my air conditioning and they were able to get it the next day. Matt helped get the compressor fixed and they did it within a couple of hours. I would highly recommend them!

I was in a pinch and needed my brakes changed today. So I went to meineke on Central Ave in Albany. They completed a 3-hour plus brake job and it was almost $1,300 for pads and rotors. I feel like this was extremely overpriced maybe almost double what it should have cost. Try it at your own risk

Meineke was amazing! I brought my 2013 Volvo XC60 in because my AC wasn’t blowing cold air. They fixed it the same day, and now it works perfectly. P&L Auto wasted my time and money ($180) and tried to tell me I needed a $3,700 catalytic converter, total nonsense. Meineke was honest, showed me the actual issue, and even waived the diagnostic fee because they knew I’d return for the repair. Yes it was pricey but, it was a tough job (over $1,600), they explained everything clearly and even offered a Meineke credit card option that helped me pay for the repair. As a woman, I usually feel uneasy at mechanic shops, but here I felt safe and respected. My husband was impressed too, which means a lot since we’re new to the area and looking for trustworthy mechanics. We found them! 10/10 recommend.

This is by FAR the worst auto shop i’ve ever been to in my life!!!!!!!! I had my check engine light pop on, I brought it in, told them about it, they had my car for a whole week and told me they were just going to clear the code KNOWING there is a temperature issue with me car and sent me on my way!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DONT GO HERE!!!!!!! I also have asked for the invoices of everything done & they will not give me my paperwork for MY vehicle from the work that they did. Which I am ENTITLED to.

I had a great experience at meineke central ave albany ny when I brought my car in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. The service was incredibly efficient - I was in and out in under an hour. The staff were also very friendly and explained everything clearly, including what they did and why. I felt like they valued my time and were transparent about the work.

Each time, every service member is kind and lets me know exactly what is going on with my vehicle. Meineke is absolute perfection. I got my first car, needing a lot of things checked because it's second-handed, but Meineke definitely reduced my stress from dealing with it. The front lady is kind, and the technicians are THE BEST. They were all understanding and caring. I was so stressed and panicking about spending so much money on this (shitty)old car, but they helped me out. They didn't even charge me anything for getting things checked. (The other repair store charged me over 50$ just for looking at the car) Thank you so much for helping out this broke college kid!

I approved the total estimate for my repair, but the shop never provided a parts and labor breakdown before doing the work. Only after the job was finished did I receive an itemized invoice — and that’s when I discovered the parts were marked up far beyond reasonable industry standards. Several components were billed at more than double than their normal retail value. I understand shops mark up parts, but this level of markup without disclosure is not standard, not transparent, and not acceptable. If the breakdown had been provided upfront, I would have questioned the pricing immediately. Instead, the details were only shown after the job was completed, leaving no room for informed consent. The work itself was fine, but the pricing practices feel predatory, and I would strongly caution anyone to demand a full, written breakdown before approving anything here.

Turned to Meineke when the auxiliary battery in my 2016 RAV4 hybrid died for the first time in the 9 years I’ve owned it. They went above and beyond to source the right battery and to get my car back to me as expeditiously as possible. The shop was also recommended to me by another auto repair shop I’d used in the past when it couldn’t get me in. That says a lot about a business when another one recommends it to one of its own customers!

Bottom line - they honest and ethical - and trying to do right by their customers. Here is what happened - when I was in the waiting room, I saw a customer come in who no mechanical issues but saw their check engine light on. The customer requested a number of unnecessary services one after another. The desk attendant spent a good 10 minutes or so working with the customer convincing them they probably didn’t need any of this work. At the end they agreed to do an oil change and if any codes came up they would look into it. This interaction alone had made me come back, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs some light work done. And the work I did was fairly priced and done as expected and they didn’t try to upsell me on anything. I would absolutely consider myself a satisfied customer. If this matters to you - the waiting room is sparse, could use a little refresh, the location is in an awkward shared parking lot and the signage outside is underwhelming and faded to the point it makes it somewhat difficult to find the shop. But once you get over that this place is a gem of auto shops.
