Memo is very professional and honest. If anything more is noticed/found other than what you took your car in for he calls let's you know before doing anything so no surprising fees come up

Very nice and honest 🙂 his shop is clean and organized. I've been a long time customer, I come from Woodland TX and will not trust anyone else to work on vehicle. Not sure what happen to you Mildred Robinson but for as long as I've been going to memo's I've never had to come back for the same problem. 🙂

Wow memo tried to offer me free service if he could have some of me he’s a weirdo n I could only see future problems popping up with my car if I was to go along with the ordeal. It’s just crazy he thought fixing my ac was enough for the exchange of “some of me”

My jeep was leaking oil. I took it to 2 other shops and got pretty similar quotes. Decided to go with Memo because his shop was much cleaner and more organized than the others. Problem fixed!

Memo's Auto Repair Shop is honest. Took my VW Jetta in for a 100,000 mile checkup. This would normally be an opportunity for an auto repair shop to generate business by telling me a lot of things are wrong with my car, but Memo's told me everything looked great and no repairs were necessary. When I needed my transmission fluid changed, Memo's was honest and said they would not be able to do it cheaply, so they recommended another shop. I will continue bringing my car here as long as I am in the Pasadena area.

Went in for brake replacement and was out in a little over an hour, great service, took the time to bring me into the garage and show me a couple of concerns and talk over some general maintenance. A much needed breath of fresh air after dealing with brand name auto shops trying to up-charge and bully me into needless expenses.

DO NOT GO TO THIS AUTO SHOP I called the day before to get an estimate for an oil change and tune up for my car 02 Toyota Camry, I gave them the VIN number and everything for the estimate of $200.45, so I made the appointment for the next day, I go to drop off the car and not even 15 minutes later they called me saying that it would cost over $500 for the oil change and tune up, I asked why, they said that 1 spark plug is over $100, yeah right, what happened is that they saw a woman dropping off the car and now they want to take advantage, with a mentality that women don’t know anything about cars or even what it cost to maintain them, these people are liars and are only interested in ripping off customers.

If American values like honesty, integrity and respect for a hard earned dollar mean anything to you do not patronize this auto repair shop. Based on my experience the object at Memos is to get you into the door with a reasonably priced competitive quote and then extract every ounce of profit that he can out of you. Classic bait and switch. This place was recommended by Firestone Complete Auto Care for a possible engine rebuild. After speaking with owner as well as several other shops I decided to go with the Firestone recommendation. His quotes were higher than the others but I figured the higher price reflected a cut no corners quality work ethic. The initial over the phone quote was $4500 (engine and install) for a used engine (5.4 3v Triton) and $7500 for a new remanufactured engine. However, after getting the car in the shop he came back with a quote of $9500. Nearly $10,000. Really? 30 years in business and you're estimation is off by $3,000 dollars. I informed him that I don't intend to spend that much money to repair an older truck and asked how much it would take to fix the oil leaks and get it back on the road. Again the quotes ranged from between $800 to $1200. To repair oil leaks? At this point I realized I had made a mistake in bringing my car here and in the type of person I was dealing with . However; he already had the car so I figured I'd take the loss write it off as a bad experience. So I and went ahead and authorized the work. He handed me a bill $1,747.79. Nearly $600.00 over his initial estimate. This was my experience with this shop. You've been warned.

I've been doing business with the guy for years. He's a mechanical genius and it's where I take everything that I can't figure out on my own. He always keeps it as cost effective and efficient as possible with repairs, and he's absolutely honest and forthcoming with every issue. Definitely a company with integrity and an extremely strong customer base that I will continue to go to. Thank you Memo

Always come here for my vehicle and family vehicles. NEVER HAD ISSUES. Haven’t posted a comment but came to post a comment. I seen the negative reviews and came to put my 2 cents. One person complained about estimates. People should know that what is seen on the outside can be different on the inside. Which causes for prices to be different. Especially cars with more mileage that can have a lot of things wrong with them. Sorry people are not educated enough to understand that. Another complained about pricing for a small part job. If you were going to have an issue with prices, why did you buy the car? Didn’t do research enough? Sometimes to get to a screw, you have to do a lot of work/remove a lot of stuff, or if through years and years and years of experience the person knows another way, that person deserves to get paid (even more). He has saved my family from big bills by replacing something before it goes bad. I went to a dealer and they said “oh you need this replaced” without even looking at it. (I replaced it just a few days prior) He looked at things before saying it needed replaced and recommended me to do next steps. If you have an issue. Educate yourself properly first before complaining

Memo fixed an AC issue within my vehicle - entire panel was non-responsive and AC was entirely shut off without control functions. His shop is very clean, he is great with communicating progress on repairs, and his pricing is fair. Great work!

$150 diagnostic fee is a lot just to look at the window, especially when the sign on the wall says $89.95. So maybe that fee was personal? As the business owner it is up to you to ensure you provide good respectful customer service. The writing is on the wall if you have had several complaints, hold yourself accountable. Worked on my car once and he did a good job but he is a creep. In what world does a mechanic need to know a customers marital status? He literally asked me if I was married the first time I ever went to the shop. His lame attempts at flirting were so awkward. He lacks self awareness & needs to be respectful & professional to women. Pros - good work - good completion time Cons -creepy -dealership pricing - dealership “additional work” sales line
