Bait and switch.. told me my car did not qualify for the oil change price they advertised. Then I ask did they rotate my tires and they were dumbfounded and said they didn’t check. Sent someone out to measure and came in and said it’s up to me. Terrible service and literally more expensive than the dealership.

I was traveling from Wisconsin when my BMW was making grinding noises and I pulled into Midas on a Saturday afternoon. Unable to look at my car due to they were full. I went back to my car to search for a flatbed to tow it back to Wisconsin. Before I can make my first call, the manager came out and asked to drive my car and within minutes we are back in the parking lot. He figured out that the previous company the day before that did my brakes did not tighten my lug nuts on my front driver side tire. He fixed the issue and sent me on my way at no charge. Thank you for stepping up in a situation you didn't need to be involved in but you chose to help. Character and trust five stars

Dan’s customer service was above any experience I had this year (2025) with my car. He was polite, pleasant and a pleasure to talk to about the work I need. I will make this Midas my car shop places. I’m not sure about the prices but it pretty much what I’ve been paying all year long for each repair stop and not receiving great customer service.

Josh was outstanding to work with. My wife stated she heard a “noise” and both her and I suspected that the brakes were in need of replacement. Called Josh over at Midas in Gurnee on a Thursday evening and he was able to squeeze me in Friday morning. It was great to find out that the brakes on my wife’s vehicle were in great condition and no immediate need for replacement. Other shops may have taken advantage of the situation but not JOSH AT MIDAS. Additionally, the brake inspection was free of charge!! Because of this situation I will be a life long customer. Thanks again, Josh!!

the people are kind, but the service is miserable. Brought my vehicle in for a coolant leak, and I left with an oil leak. They tried everything to not take responsibility, citing my cars mileage, use, etc. I came in with no leak, I left with a leak. a significant leak at that. I was out of oil by the time I was home. I finally got them to fix it with reduced price because they would not take responsibility. when I left with the oil leak fixed they did not put any oil into my vehicle. so they let me leave without oil in my vehicle. unconscionable. I was lucky I didn't trust them, stopped at a nearby parking lot at the mall and checked my oil. sure enough, a dry dipstick. Next, I go on a trip to Michigan and come back to an empty coolant reservoir. I take it back to Midas and they claim up and down that there's nothing wrong. he even took me under my car to point out all the stuff they had previously fixed and said see? it's not us. he said my coolant system was fine. no leaks. no loose connections. sure enough on my way home my coolant hose came off the reservoir and sprayed everywhere under the hood and left me with smoking and no coolant. they took no responsibility for letting me leave with a hose connected to nothing. I will attach pictures of the nossle the hose was "connected to" and passed Midas's thorough inspection of my coolant system. additionally the nossle had broken off inside the tube which I also included picture of. Midas let me leave with my coolant overflow hose connected to nothing.

I’ve been here more times than i’d anticipated since November of last year. For one car and then another. But EVERY SINGLE TIME… it’s been consistently good service. The entire team at Midas gurnee does good work. Honest mechanics and staff. Always clean. Always informative. They offer full service for a wide variety of vehicles (including imports). Ladies… there’s no pink tax here either! For as long as i’m in Lake County, they’ve got my business.
