Review of Midas: Update! Thank You Mr. Stanley! Update: I want to take a moment to update my previous review. After we shared our experience, a vice president from the company reached out to my son almost immediately after reading our feedback. He took the time to investigate the situation personally and made it a priority to make things right. Not only did he replace the damaged rim, but he also provided a new tire and authorized an alignment. When writing reviews, our intention is to warn other consumers about businesses that may not value their customers. We never expected such a positive outcome from sharing our experience. However, Bryan Stanley went above and beyond to turn a negative situation into a fantastic one. We truly appreciate his commitment to customer satisfaction and commend the company for their responsiveness. Thank you for restoring our trust! Sincerely, Concerned mother Disappointing Experience with Tire Installation at Midas of Fredericksburg! I recently had an unfortunate experience at Midas that I feel compelled to share. My son took his car in for four brand new tires, and we were optimistic about the service. However, the experience quickly turned sour due to several issues that arose during and after the installation. Firstly, we discovered that one of the rims was cracked—a critical detail that Midas was aware of. Instead of addressing this issue upfront, they proceeded with the tire installation, which led us to believe everything was fine. We suspect that they may have even caused the damage themselves during the service, but regardless of how it happened, their failure to properly inform us of the crack is unacceptable. After just two days, my son faced problems with the tire not staying inflated. When he returned to Midas to address the issue, they acknowledged that they knew about the cracked rim and had placed the tire on the back of the car, presumably to mitigate the risk since it was weight-bearing on the front. This lack of transparency and accountability is troubling. Additionally, they did not change the tire pressure monitoring sensors to correspond with the new tires, resulting in incorrect readings on the dashboard. This oversight could lead to serious safety concerns, as accurate tire pressure is crucial for vehicle performance and safety. Overall, my experience with Midas has been disappointing. The lack of communication and attention to detail not only caused inconvenience but also raised doubts about their professionalism and reliability. I would urge potential customers to approach with caution, as transparency and accountability seem to be lacking in their service. I hope this review helps others make informed decisions before taking their vehicles to Midas.

Went in for engine light. Cked at autozone. Catalytic converter left side. After almost 3 hrs got a 13,400.00 .estimate. basic rebuild my 618,000 mile truck.just passed state inspection 2 months ago. Nothing wrong.did not show me one thing. Went to another shop. Bank 1 oc sensor 350. Truck runs great. Sad.

This shop has treated me well over the past several years. Always a fair price and the staff is friendly and attentive. I'll get into the nitty gritty: the waiting area is small but tidy and they have a few refreshments on offer. The customer bathroom is clean and orderly. The front desk girl is very friendly and helpful and is happy to break down everything that needs to be done. (I should mention that this shop tends to employ women at the front desk and I've spotted at least one female technician working the shop floor.) In my experience, the mechanics prioritize what needs to be done *now* and what should be done soon -- with the contents of my wallet being what it is, this is very much appreciated. The shop also proudly displays employees' accomplishments with their racing hobbies, not only showcasing the passion of the staff for vehicles, but the passion the franchise owners have in supporting their employees' interests outside of the shop. I should also note an above and beyond moment I witnessed: last rainy slow Monday, another patron of the shop was about to order an Uber home instead of waiting and someone offered to drive her home. I don't know if this is a regular thing they offer or just because it was a slow, rainy day, but I found the gesture to be incredibly kind. All the stars for this place.

I had a very positive experience here. I brought my BMW 320i on a Saturday and they immediately diagnosed the problem. I have a Firestone Mastercard which allows me to pay repairs costing $150 or more over six months; they allowed me to use it (the estimate was over $2000) and they worked with me on a credit card processing fee. They also do a military discount so any business that offers us discounts I highly recommend. The only downside is it took 2.5 days to repair but it’s not an easy car to work on (made in Germany). I recommend this business. Tiffany at the front desk was nothing but honest.

Little place was clean, have a coffee station for guests. Some magazines to read. Nice AC. Pretty fast oil change. Went there coz I saw a oil change special on their website but then they said I had to use SYN oil instead and price was not the same as they told me when I paid. I asked they said sometimes you car may require more oil or something. But I don’t think my little car required that much different attention. Of course they want to ask you to change more stuff while I was there, air filter dirty But I said next time. Over all it was not a bad experience but the price was different and they didn’t tell me before I start the service so I probably don’t want to go back just for this reason.

I love this place I was getting used by EVERY mechanic shop I called. They all wanted my money and didn't care about my day to day situations. But from the first call they cared and helped me my car fixed up. As a woman I feel safe there with my vehicle and my wallet of I could give the 10 stars i would. Michelle Maxey of Midas on Patriot Hey in Fredericksburg, VA: Words can’t express how amazing this woman treated me when I came into the Midas she and her husband manage. Got a nail in my tire but also discovered my tires had no tread. She explained everything and was truly on my team dealing with the company I recently bought the car from and the insurance company I bought tire coverage with. Nobody wants to pay or admit the tires shouldnt be bologna skins 5 months after buying the car. Thank you Michelle!!! I’ll never go anywhere else. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recently visited Midas for car service and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. When I walked in, the staff was professional, friendly, and transparent about what my vehicle needed. They explained everything clearly—no pressure, no upselling—and gave me a breakdown of what needed immediate attention and what could wait. I went in for an oil change. The best part? They finished everything quicker than I expected. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, and they even offered me coffee while I waited. Prices were fair, and they even had some good coupons available online that helped save a bit of money. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Midas if you want reliable, honest service for your car. Whether it’s a quick fix or a bigger job, they treat your car (and you) with care.

Don't bring you vehicle here they lie about all kinds of problems just to try and get you to spend extra money for unnecessary repairs... I took it to little tire instead those guys are honest and of course nothing this place said was wrong needed repairs they will also not give you any thing in writing...

I called to make an appointment for state inspection & they had immediate availability. My windshield fluid washer of all things needed to be fixed to pass inspection. I wasn't prepared for the expense but Jessica manager & Dawn asst manager helped with affordability & waited patiently for me to adjust my finances to get my car inspected & passed. They went above & beyond making me feel comfortable & confident with MIDAS service. I've been a customer for years & can't recommend this MIDAS location in Fredericksburg VA enough. Keep up the good work guys. PS. The atmosphere & environment is always so clean & comfortable. WIFI & charging station a plus. 10 ⭐ if I could.

I brought my vehicle to Midas for a state inspection and was initially rejected for a tag light and motor mount issue. After leaving, I found the tag light was working fine, and when I mentioned it, they said the technician was new and apologized. Ultimately, I paid to have the motor mount fixed just so my car would pass. This experience left me frustrated and wary of their recommendations—inspections should be accurate and trustworthy, and this one was not.

Recently I had a new muffler installed at the Fredericksburg Midas location. I could not have been more pleased. I found the staff to be courteous, professional and extremely “customer oriented”. The customer service was outstanding. EVERYONE was very knowledgeable and helpful. They took the time to explain the issue, the cost and the timeline for the repair. The prices were very reasonable. Our family owns four cars—two are older (7–9 years) and need frequent repairs, while the other two require regular maintenance. Recently, one car needed urgent repairs so our daughter could continue driving it to college. We first went to our usual repair shop, where we’ve been loyal customers for over six years, but they gave us a nine-day wait with no sense of urgency. Disappointed, we turned to Midas on a friend’s recommendation. Despite being busy, the manager, Jessica, immediately understood our situation and made room for us. The mechanic was experienced, knowledgeable about foreign cars, and took into account that the car only needed to last until December, when our daughter graduates and we plan to donate it to charity. The repairs were complex, but he handled them meticulously, explaining everything along the way and ensuring the car was safe for our daughter to drive. The service was outstanding—professional, timely, and considerate. After this experience, we’ve decided to make this Midas our new go-to repair shop, and we highly recommend this location.

Completely awful, I took a car here for a prepurchase inspection and they failed to notice an oil leak amongst other problems. Worst of all, when I confronted them about this, they refused to offer me a full refund and told me I would have to come back in person to get less than half of my money back. Total scam artists, take your business elsewhere. I would leave zero stars if I could, that's how bad they were.

Emily and the entire team at the Fredericksburg Midas were true holiday miracle workers for my family this morning. Our car broke down when driving from DC to Atlanta for the holidays. Emily went above and beyond in providing exemplary customer service for my family while the Midas mechanics worked on our car. She let in my three kids and dog, made them feel at ease amid stressful travel, turned on their favorite TV, and then worked the phones on our behalf to find us an uber and rental car when it turned out our Pacifica’s engine needed nontrivial repairs. I couldn’t more highly recommend this Midas!
