Driving down I-74 lost steering and brake power to a 1993 GMC C6000 TopKick Lo Pro. We crawled to Midwest Automotive and Diesel (which I found on our GPS under truck towing) for repairs. THESE GUYS WERE FANTASTIC MECHANICS, FAST AND DEAD ON WITH THEIR DIAGNOSIS OF OUR PROBLEM!! They had us on our way within 2 HOURS, with a MORE THAN FAIR PRICE!!! Thank-you so much for all you did!!

We were stranded near Champaign IL with our 2003 GMC/diesel. We looked on the internet and gave Jason at Midwest a call. Our truck was towed to them. Jason gave us a time table and would no more after he looked at the truck. Midwest was very efficient and after telling us the problem he had us back on the road. He picked us up at the campground we were staying at to get the truck when finished and this was really appreciated. We highly recommend Midwest Automotive and thank them for their great service.

Claimed to have dropped my fuel tank to make repairs caused by rodents. They obviously had not .It was easy to see what had been replaced (the only thing that was clean), a short piece of hose, and possibly a short wire or two, because some grease had been disturbed (their so-called "wiring harness"). That and putting back the driveshaft, which had to be dropped for towing and that did have a stripped bolt. That and the diagnostics was $750. I went back through my records to 5 years ago because this rodent thing had happened before, and they claimed to have dropped the tank then, too. It is easy to see from the dirt, rusted bolts and cracked hoses, that tank has NEVER been dropped. I have been going there for 5 years, because their work is quality although their prices are high and they charge way to much for parts. I have given them over $14,0000 of my business over the years (yes, you read that right) but started to question more and more whether I was getting what I paid for. You might thing they would want to keep me as a customer, but I guess not.

Very happy with my service the last couple times I've had work done on my 2015 Chevy Silverado 3500. Both for a transmission leak and emission system problems, I was kept up to date on a consistent basis. Prices seem very fair as well for the quality of work. Jason hooked us up as first time customers. He looked over our entire car, told us not only what was wrong with it, but what would be wrong with it soon. The most AMAZING part was he said "no charge" on something the dealer would have charged $75 for,Just so we would come back. Believe me I will be taking BOTH of my cars back for big things and small. I am so relieved to have finally found someone I trust not to take advantage of me.

Jason and his staff are great. I had brought in a Chevy Impala that needed a new crank shaft and some new pullys. While fixing this issue, Jason called me to let me know that my water pump was about shot. With this type of customer service, how can you not go to this place. The price was reasonably good. Jason and his team know what they are doing. They always look out for the customer. I asked him how much it would be to fix and exhaust issue and he said it would be a lot more expensive then this other place. He knew the finicinal situation I was in, and that shows me how good of a person he is. If you need a loyal mechanic, go see Jason at Midwest auto and Diesel.

Had my truck over at ford city they were going to get right on it is what I was told and after a week of it not moving I called Midwest they got right on it the next day. He gave me a cost and did some extras and still came in where he said. This place is a very good shop and I’ve been extremely pleased to be working with them, owner is awesome great guy !!! I won’t hesitate to continue having services done here. Highly recommend.
