I've been somewhat upset. Had new sway bars installed a few weeks ago. Then on 8/18, car made a horrible noise right from that area, couldn't even go on the freeway it was so bad. Had to have my car towed from Sausalito to El Cerrito, where luckily a shop near my house was open until 5pm. The bolts on the sway bars and links had become loose, as they hadn't been tightened enough in the first place. Cost was luckily only $50, but I had to miss a picnic with friends I rarely see that afternoon. That upset me pretty much. Cannot recommend them at the moment, even though they came highly recommended from co-workers.

I brought my 740il to Mikes because my check engine light came on. It was running fine but I needed to get it smoged. They said they tried a few different things but were unable to get the check engine light to go away. I was charged $136.00 for an oil change I did not need. I was able to get my check engine light to stay off and get it smoged myself a couple days later. A week or so after I pop the hood to check my fuids and found duct tape taped across my engine cover and a hole on on side. It looks terrible. They never said a thing to me. I went to Mikes and asked what happened they said a had a little problem trying to remove cover. He said they would look for a replacement. Still waiting.

These guys worked with me on an older car to chase down a somewhat elusive electrical issue with their helpful assessment of what the problem might be. They were busy, but got the car in and done in a day. Their parts costs are higher than the local part store, but they buy the quality that enables them to stand behind their work; if there's a subsequent issue they'll handle it. Respect.

Mike's a very caring, honest man. He doesn't Jack up prices. For example I got a quote from the dealership for $850 to do my brakes one time and he said he didn't know what they were talking about my I didn't either work that they said he fix my brakes for $120 guaranteed work and I never had a problem again he's also done many different jobs for me and on average I've spent two or three times a hundred twenty bucks what time my steering wheel came off and it was only $120 to repair the whole thing he just has very reasonable rates and he does excellent work
