The people that work here are amazing. They really care about you and your car. It’s a family run business and the owner and son are super helpful. They will tell you what’s right or wrong and are very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place. If 10 stars was an option, I’d give them an 11.

This place is a HUGE joke. I went three times to get my smog done and kept being told different things each time. The guy who runs the place is shady. He told me to come back in ten days and he would pass my smog knowing I had a repair that needed to be done and I directly asked him about it and he said don't worry he would pass me anyway. All they do is keep your car in the back for an hour or more, and do nothing and string you along for weeks with lies. I do not trust this place. If i needed a repair why not tell me/confirm so I can get it done and how about quote me for repair cost since you're a shop as well. Biggest waste of my time. They probably did it because I'm black.

Jack and Adel are passionate about cars, and it shows. Came in after failing my smog test twice at another smog test center. Like the experts that they are, they assuaged my fears and were able to do what was needed to pass! They also helped me out with a couple more issues they spotted, such as the wrong mileage read and mistakes made by another big box mechanic shop, and gave me advice about getting a Honda dealer to fix an issue due to a recall that was associated with my car that I didn't know about. Everyone knows the bad reputation auto repair shops have when it comes to dealing with women customers-I didn't feel like this shop was going to pull a fast one on me. Quite the opposite. I think I've found my new auto guys for life. Happy to support a small business!

They are great for all repairs and maintenance - we have been taking all of our auto's here for the last several years - always been satisfied. Jack strives to provide a great service for his customers. The caveat is that it is a very busy shop and you may wait longer then you would at a dealer - but it is well worth it!

These guys take such good care of me! Never an overcharge. Crazy knowledgeable when it comes to my Mercedes and repairs needed. They're very busy, working in a small space so there can be a delay while waiting but stick it out, it's worth your time. Great smog service too!

Jack and his son Dell are the best auto mechanics around. We use them for all our cars and have referred many people to them. They are honest and so nice to work with. I was referred to them by a friend and have done the same. Trustworthy and dependable. I highly recommend this business. And dont be intimidated with their driveway, park next door and they handle it all for you.

This place is very friendly, fast and accommodating. They started an easy OBD smog about 30 minutes before close. Took a bit to start, but they were done in 15 minutes or less. Price was fair, I appreciated them fitting us in. The problem I have is that their place is extremely small and cramped. Shouldn't have been a big deal for us, as we drive a very small Honda Fit, with a camera. Because of this, they very badly curbed our brand new wheels, and either didn't know (not very likely or believable) or chose to not tell us and figured we might not notice. The rash is extremely noticeable since they're black wheels, and there's a ton of silver showing where it went to bare metal, and there's a spot of red fire lane paint on it as well. I know it happened here for a fact because I'm very careful parking, I have a side view camera AND a backup camera, and I've never parked on a fire lane in my entire life. Pretty upset, won't be back obviously, and would not recommend if you have a car you actually care about.

Transparent about pricing, with friendly and helpful employees who were giving advice without trying to upcharge me. Entrance is a skinny alley with tight parking, so make sure you're going slow so you don't accidentally miss it.

I made a 1 PM appointment at VIP Smog in Pleasant Hill, but they kept taking other vehicles before me. ALSO THERE IS NO PARKING! The front desk guy was nice, but the place seemed sketchy. After waiting past the 45-minute estimate with no progress, I asked for my keys and left, got my smog done immediately elsewhere. Total waste of time—wouldn’t go back.

Unfortunately do not come here. I have been here many times under the impression they were trustworthy. After spending $2000+ on my car within one year I became skeptical. I took it to my moms trusted mechanic after they gave me a bill of $1500 for a minor problem. Every single thing they listed was not wrong with my car. Flat out scam. Thank god for other trustworthy mechanics saving me thousands. It seems like there are new hires this year and they will run your pockets dry. Hopefully whoever is reading this can try another route for an honest mechanic, do not give them any of your money.

Jack and Adel are awesome guys and do great work. I generally work on all my own vehicles as I have a hard time finding a shop I can trust. These guys don’t just do great work at a solid price, but they also take the time to explain what they are doing and why. They don’t take shortcuts but also don’t just throw money and parts at the car unnecessarily like some shops. They’ve even spent time to help me diagnose and resolve my own issues on different vehicles so I wouldn’t have to bring them in. I’ve already recommended them to multiple friends since my first visit
