Finding a reliable mechanic can be a challenge, but Mobile Mechanic Pros McKinney proved to be a gem. My 2018 Ford Fusion was due for an oil change, and I decided to try their mobile service. It was an excellent choice. The mechanic, James, showed up right on schedule and brought a friendly, professional attitude with her. He quickly got to work, handling the oil change with impressive efficiency. James also took the time to perform a quick inspection, giving me peace of mind about my car's overall condition. The best part? I didn't have to leave the comfort of my home. The convenience, combined with James’s expertise, made this an outstanding experience. It took them 2 days to get a estimate, 3 days to actually come out, when they finally did, they showed up unprepared, I waited half an hour for them to get a part they should have already, then when I called and asked about if I was being charged for that time, they told me that it was flat rate. When I asked what the rate was considering they gave me an estimate and not a quote, they had somehow tacked on almost 300$ extra to the quote I originally got, when I expressed that I was upset at the upcharge, the only response given was "I could reschedule or cancel". Will not be calling them again.

James is a literal legend. Someone backed into my truck the other day and other then some dings and scratches my truck was fine. However, my front bumper was bent in a way that it was digging into my front right tire and he said well we are either going to have to cut it or take the whole bumper off. I told him let’s go ahead and take the bumper off but I’d rather keep it on if it was possible. Sure enough I left him to his business and about 45-hour later he called me to come down. The bumper was still on, so I was assuming there was some issues. But to the least of my worries sure enough it was back to normal again and driving just fine. I am humble for what I have even if it is just a hand me down from my pops. And luckily I am still able to go to work and keep saving up for a new car for only a measly $200 and yes Ik that expensive for some people and for me that is. However, considering it is for a vehicle (during the times we live in), he comes to your house, and the dude has great customer service; I’d recommend him to anyone. Now hopefully I can get it all figured out with the person that hit me and it will all be behind me. Thanks James, for everything!

I expected this to turn into a full lost day. When my 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 refused to start between job sites, I called Mobile Mechanic Pros McKinney mostly to see if they could even diagnose it without towing the truck somewhere. I was already thinking about missed work and rescheduling clients. Instead, the mechanic arrived sooner than I expected, confirmed the starter had failed, and replaced it right there. He kept the process focused and efficient, explained what went wrong, and made sure everything was starting consistently before leaving. Had a huge pickle in the middle of a lot in town and I was scared that my engine completely failed. Asked a local friend and they recommended to try the mobile mechanics. ⭐ 1 Star I paid $700 to Mobile Mechanic Pros of McKinney for repairs that turned out to be completely unreliable. The mechanic replaced two parts — a hose and a belt — which were not the correct parts for my hybrid vehicle. He did mention that the hose would be a temporary fix, but he never told me the belt was also temporary. Not long after leaving, my car broke down again leaving us stranded 5 minutes from where the car was repaired because the belt wasn’t the right fit — it was squealing and not installed properly. He had told me it was safe to drive home, but it absolutely was not. The police ended up helping us push the car home and even stated that the vehicle was not safe to drive. When I contacted the company afterward, they didn’t take accountability for the poor workmanship. Instead, they suggested towing my car somewhere to inspect and make sure that’s what causes the issue , even though they’re supposed to be a mobile repair service, and told me I would have to reimburse them if they found anything else wrong, which sounded like a red flag and a setup for more money. I refused and instead asked if they could come back out to my location — just like the original mechanic did when he came to fix it — but they said it was no longer applicable. This was completely unprofessional and hands-down the worst experience I’ve ever had. I eventually had to dispute the $700 through my bank to get my money back. I would not recommend Mobile Mechanic Pros of McKinney to anyone. Be cautious — make sure you’re getting the right parts and honest communication before trusting them with your car.

I would not recommend this service. I was charged $600 for a repair, and the technician replaced a part that did not fix the problem. It became clear that he was not sure what he was doing, yet he proceeded with the work anyway. The issue remained unresolved after the repair. He only refunded $100, even though the repair was unsuccessful. I feel that I paid a large amount of money without receiving a proper solution. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I cannot recommend this service to others. If you'd like, I can also write a shorter or stronger version depending on where you plan to post it (Google, Yelp, etc.). I cannot recommend these guys enough! I am one happy little camper (service), my car is happy (fixed), and my wallet is happy (didn’t get emptied). Story summary: driver’s side window was stuck half way down. After calling a trusted local auto shop for an estimate, I instead met with James with Mobile Mechanics Pro. His diagnosis took 30 seconds. Seriously. 30 seconds! He had that master switch installed in about 2 minutes…maybe 3 minutes tops. I’m not kidding. I was totally wowed. As a bonus, I could also roll down the passenger window, something I hadn’t been able to do for a few years and had no clue the master switch was the culprit. He charged me $100 less than my trusted auto mechanic shop, and he is such a nice, casual, polite, informative person. Just top notch customer service, which says a lot! I have a new trusted mechanic now for all my light repairs - brakes, alternator, starter, radiator, power windows, battery, probably lights. James is my guy! I’m thankful, my car is thankful, and my wallet is very thankful!
