Bought a car a month ago April 11th. I was unaware all the problems that a sonata could have. I have had to add a quart or more of a oil at least every week. The oil consumption is ridiculous. I have emailed 4 times with no response. I am deaf and cannot hear on the phone well so I cannot just call. I live 45 mins away. The tint or film is flaking on back window.. there's a rattle in the muffler/exhaust in which Paul told me to bring in and they'd take care of it so I took it to service center and the young guy acted like he couldn't hear it but I'm deaf and wear hearing aids.. if I can hear it .. and another auto shop can and everyone else. Then clearly there's a rattle. I love the car itself. Just not the issues I'm having already in under a month of owning it. They should've been more honest.. Maybe that's why they won't email me back. 😔

The process was very easy. I chose this location because they had my tires in stock. I dropped my car off the night prior to my appointment and was contacted first thing the next morning. I was called when my car was ready and came back to it being washed. Checkout was easy and my car was waiting for me in plain sight.

Great Service. We purchased a new Genesis at another dealer where they do not provide good service (over a month wait to get warranty work done and NO return calls). I was able to make my appointment at Modern Hyundai easily and the person on the phone was professional and precise. All good. Then it got better. When the service day arrived I pulled in, was greeted immediately, checked in quickly and directed to their spacious lounge area to wait. The service rep was ultra professional, communicated thoroughly and my car’s defective battery was diagnosed, and replaced quickly. Very very impressed, and grateful that we can now drive our brand new vehicle without worrying about a dead battery.

Im throughly disappointed with the service dept. I have been trying to get a phone call back to schedule an appt for oil change and steering wheel replacement for well over a month. Today drove in personally and was told Steve would need to contact me. I advised that Dan on two occasion took my info for Steve to call. After complaining to manager Tim Broderick whom acted as if he did not care and could not locate Steve on the premises finally had Steve call me. His response was i no longer qualified for concierge service. Ok, but I still need service. Steve states today was the first he heard of the services needed. Had to talk to Liz whom then had to make two separate appointments. Tim suggestion was to come and just wait all day. Ill never purchase another Genesis

I had my car towed there after sustaining some damage from a brick to the underside of my vehicle a few weeks ago. I was quoted between $7500-$8500 for all recommended repairs. A lot of the recommended repairs were considered completely unnecessary per 2 separate mechanics that looked at the vehicle afterwards. After having my vehicle for over 5 days, when the work was done and I was called to come get my vehicle, they couldn't find it. I waited for 30+ minutes while they looked for my car. Then when they finally found my car, it wouldn't start. It took them another 15-20 minutes to get my car started. How does a car that you just fixed all of a sudden not start? My car was filthy and not only was it never washed as indicated on the paperwork, but they left greasy hand prints on both the interior AND exterior of my vehicle. When I asked for the exact breakdown of the charges the service advisor just laughed and did not give me the information. Every other dealer I have ever utilized shows exactly how much each job costs and the time allotted per job. I was only given a total cost which was way over what other mechanics said the job should cost. If that wasn't enough, now all of a sudden my oil light comes on whenever I come to a stop. My oil light has never come on once ever prior to visiting Modern Hyundai. I had my oil changed early just as a precaution and the light is still coming on. I have no idea what was done under their care. I also had a something hanging down under my car stemming from the incident. I asked if they could pin it up and they said they would. Nothing was done in that respect. I am very VERY disappointed at this level of service and I definitely don't feel I received the same level of treatment others received watching everyone else brought nicely cleaned cars. Definitely will NEVER go back!!

Everyone is very nice here. But......why does it take 3 hours for routine maintenance on a Saturday morning when you have the 2nd earliest appointment? We changed to this location because it is way closer to the house but in the same amount of time we could have gone back there.

I purchased my Santa Fe in February 2025 from a different dealership and due to proximity to my home scheduled my first service appointment with Modern Hyundai. My service rep, Dezerai was fantastic! She walked me through the entire process. Due to some slight manufacturing offsets 2 windows in my vehicle had to be replaced. She did the work to ensure it was covered by warranty and additionally put me in a loaner for over a week while the replacement glass came in. She also took the time to call several people (which she did in front of me) to ensure my oil was changed at time of purchase so that I wasn’t coming out of pocket for something that wasn’t yet needed. She was positive, bubbly, easy to talk too and provided great customer service. Also- the wait area was perfect for setting up laptop and juggling work tasks. Clean. Well stocked. A+ … would recommend!

I have so many remarks. Service dept. Poor management, poor service. An oxygen sensor was broken by service worker causing the check engine light to come on. They didn’t fix it, instead they unhooked the battery before we picked up, wonder why? Had to take the car back because of this. The headlight and turn signal went out. After buying bulbs, found out these 2 things were unplugged and not plugged back in. Forget about getting in touch with a manager. After 3 voicemails, a live chat, and a front desk message, I never heard back. Instead my son in law showed up in person to speak with the manager. This all came from taking the car in for recalls. Oil was leaking and this could be because of one of the recalls it had. I was told they scanned the bearings in this recall and the car passed, but after the initial recalls were “taken care of” we took the car home only for it to have issues changing gears which wasn’t the case before. Spoke with someone on the phone who said they would need to take the engine apart to physically inspect the bearings and that I wouldn’t be charged for this. Instead they did a whole service inspection and sent me 3,000.00 worth of stuff they want to service. They then refused to check the bearings as they said they would unless I paid 8 hours of labor. We’ve now dropped the car off 3 separate times and it’s in worse shape than it was before we dropped it off the first time.

I booked a multi-point inspection waiter appointment at 4:15 PM via the Hyundai app, clearly noting a TPMS system malfunction and infotainment screen flickering. On arrival, I was told waiter service was not possible and that only a drop-off was allowed, despite the app letting me book a waiter appointment. No clear explanation was given. I asked for a loaner car if it was a drop-off, but that wasn’t available either. The next available waiter appointments were 5–7 days later. After agreeing to drop off the car and sharing all issue details, I was told to wait in the waiting area and that someone would contact me. I waited over an hour, only to be told later that the service center was closing and the car would not be checked today. If it was a drop-off, there was no reason to ask me to wait. This review is only about the appointment and front-desk experience, not the actual service work. Very poor communication and a complete waste of time.

They the worst customer service in maintenance. After spending over$2500.00 in maintenance, I pick up my care and it breaks down before I can get home. I call them can't get anyone in service to call me back. Had to get someone to take me to the dealership so they an arrange to tow it back to dealership. They call me to tell it the engine is gone. Seven days later no loaner car. No answer about fixing my car. And I bought the car from them and take it there for regular maintenance. They don't give damn about there customers.

I’ve been bringing my vehicle to this service center for a while and usually trusted them with my car maintenance. However, my last visit was really disappointing. I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. When I got home, I noticed two of my lug nuts/wheel locks were missing. It was the weekend, and the shop was closed, so I tried reaching out multiple times afterward. Each time, someone would ask what happened, I’d explain everything, then they’d put me on hold and the call would get disconnected. I even tried contacting the service advisor listed on my invoice, but was told he was busy. Later, I found out he had moved to a different dealership. I eventually replaced the missing lug nuts myself, thinking it wasn’t worth the hassle anymore. But what really frustrated me was that a couple of months later, when I opened my hood, I found the engine cover wasn’t even secured properly after their service. That made me question whether the oil was even changed at all or if things were just done carelessly. I used to trust this place, but after this experience, I’ve really lost confidence in their quality control and communication.
