My experience at this shop was horrible. I would give zero stars if it was an option. I took my vehicle in and instead of repairing the issue, they told me it was something else that should have been a $50 fix including labor and charged me over $500. My check engine light was not on when I took the vehicle in but when I got it back it was on. I asked them about it before I left the shop and they told me it was because of the spark plug they changed and reset it. The mechanic left his cell phone in my car and I had to drive back to return it. The check engine light came back on. I took it back and they told me it was another issue and charged me another $145. I took my car to another mechanic because I was so uneasy after the interactions with this one. The other mechanic noticed parts were missing out of my vehicle. I had to go back to this shop not once but TWICE to pick up the missing parts to my vehicle that they conveniently forgot to put back in my vehicle. Except for a few of the bolts these were not small parts. The other mechanic told me they didn't fix anything and in fact made it worse and that I should sue them for what they did to me and my vehicle. The second time I had to go pick up the additional missing parts of my vehicle that they did not give back the first time I asked for a refund. They fought me on the refund and then only gave me a portion of the money back and said the rest went to parts in my car. I asked for the receipt for the parts and he showed them to me and I pointed out that even if what he said is true the amount he gave me wasn't correct. They argued with me over the amount and then still didn't refund the entire thing saying a filter was in my car. He also refused to refund the over $500 paid for the spark plugs he initially said were wrong and the oil change. Those together only cost him at best $100 but he charged my over $500. The second mechanic told me what these guys did was completely immoral and unethical. I would NEVER recommend this shop or take my vehicle anywhere near them! They lie, overcharge, refuse to refund you when you show them proof, and will do more damage to your car then when it came in. The other mechanic told me that no real mechanic would ever have recommended either thing they did to my vehicle and that they ended up making the vehicle worse. ZERO stars. Would never recommend.

I can't recommend this mechanic enough! They are incredibly friendly, professional, and their prices are very fair. My car had been sitting at another mechanic's shop for six months, and they still couldn't figure out how to fix it. However, this mechanic quickly diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in no time. This shop was amazing and very friendly. We were traveling from Big Bend back home to East Texas and we experienced car trouble. We called around and finally called here. They were able to get me in very quickly,they replaced the CV axles and we were back on the road issue free.

Honestly, if I could give you a zero I would. What a rubbish shop I went to for a change of brakes and rotors for my car and it turns out that after 2 days brake fluid started coming out near the rim, I went to another shop to have them check what it was. the problem and it turns out that they broke the caliper that activates the brake and now I have to pay the sum of more than 500 dollars for their damages plus the 200 that I paid them for making the supposed change that they don't even know how to do. I do not recommend this workshop not at all super negligent because maybe I could have been left without brakes because of them risking my integrity

Check engine light on right after bringing my car for a service B on my Mercedes. Not to mention broke my window also wasn’t going down. Don’t trust them either with my vehicle they sounded sure over the phone and a complete disaster. I bet they just reset my system and didn’t follow proper maintenance

They misdiagnosed me after I told the my symptoms. I told them that the check engine light was on due to a sensor and was likely not my issue but they were adamant. They changed the sensor, charged me more than $200. The the symptoms continued and, when I told them, all they seemed to care about was that the check engine light was off.. i was driving cross country and they told me I would be good to continue driving until I got home. 2 states later, my transmission was totalled and I had to pay more than $4,000 to have it fixed.

Had my passenger rear shock and mount break on me and after I did a Google search for auto mechanics Modessa auto repair was first on the list. I called them up and told them my problem and they said to bring it by. They looked at my car quickly, removed the old shock and mount and it was fixed very quickly. Being not from this area I definitely recommend this shop cause they are fairly quick and they get the job done correctly.

Extremely RUDE OWNER – Stay Away I would give 0 stars if I could. I had an extremely bad experience at Modessa Auto Repair. I came in only to change my transmission fluid, and I agreed to the price. After that, the mechanic checked my tires and told me my brake pads needed to be replaced. I went to speak with the boss to ask for the price. I politely tried to get a discount and mentioned that another repair shop could do it for a lower price, hoping he might work with me. Instead of acting professionally, he got angry and told me, “GO FIX IT SOMEWHERE ELSE ” I was completely shocked by his attitude. I was standing right in front of him, waiting for the price, when he told the mechanic : “ JUST CHANGE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND SEND HIM AWAY “. Then he turned his back to me, faced his computer, and started WACTING A SOCCER GAME , completely IGNORING ME as if I didn’t exist. I finally got upset and asked him if this was how he treats customers and if this is how he talks to people who are simply asking for a price and possible discount. This place is too expensive and EXTREMELY RUDE. There is absolutely no customer service or respect. I would never recommend this shop to anyone. Save your energy and stay away from the rude boss. I’d rather pay extra than have to deal with rude people.

I was at Modessa Auto to have them check my car. My car was shaking after 30 mph, and the brakes were not working well. Plus, I needed an oil change. I was offered black tea while waiting. They asked about the quality I preferred and Parts were ordered, and They provided all options, and the repair was very quick. The price is very reasonable. I would certainly say it is the best and highest-quality deal you can find in Odessa, TX. They work with your schedule and even offered me a ride to my workplace. Everything was done in an hour. Excellent service—highly recommend to anyone.
