My daughter just brought her cadillac to this shop with a diagnostic printout from another shop that was done this morning, November 3rd. Due to the good reviews I suggested she take it there. They told her it would be 300 dollars just to run the diagnostic again. While I can understand perhaps the preference to run your diagnostics themselves, I can not understand why they would want to charge twice what a dealership charges or other places even do for free. Oh well.

I took my car to Modesti’s for a premium service. When they inspected my tires and brakes, my rear brakes were down to 1 mm and Melanie suggested I fix those before any possible damage in the future. They also found a nail in my tire and referred to me to Davis Brothers tires, which is a great place in Culver City for tire repair. Melanie Modesti is so sweet and so knowledgeable and explained everything so well she is a sweetheart. I highly suggest taking your car to Modesti car care center. I experienced excellent customer service.

Yesterday I had my 2021 Lexus 300h serviced at Modesti’s Car Care Center, and I wanted to share how positive the experience was. Jonathan, the Service Manager, was a true professional: knowledgeable, genuine, and easy to trust. I first met him last year before a trip to Las Vegas to visit my daughter, and I immediately felt a good vibe. That’s what brought me back yesterday for service, and I’m very glad I did. The cost was more than reasonable, easily 50% less than what the Lexus dealership would have charged, and as a senior on a fixed income, that matters. Once a car is out of warranty, finding an honest, competent alternative to the dealer can feel like a blind leap, especially for older folks. I’m grateful I walked through the door at Modesti’s. They checked everything thoroughly: tires, brakes, the works and Jonathan actually told me not to come back for another year because everything looked good. When you are fully confident with who maintains your vehicle it is very difficult to find the words to express complete satisfaction, where you know everything has been reviewed thoroughly, addressed and tested. My family has recently had the need to bring our Volkswagen vehicles into Modesti’s for inspection and repair, both vehicles are more than 10 years old and both have a tad bit over 50k miles. Previously these two vehicles had been maintained by the dealership where they were purchased, but having had a recent bad experience, I elected to have both serviced at Modesti’s, with whom we have had a relationship with for other vehicles. I am very pleased to know, the exact manufacturer parts were used and every concern I had has been addressed, first with my son in-laws work vehicle and my everyday choice, that I fully enjoy driving. Picking it up today I could immediately feel the difference having had it serviced and the brake system got the attention it needed. Knowing I will travel my precious cargo (the grandchildren) safely from here and there matters!
