I was not serviced due to trying to use my warranty service to cover the expense of my repair for a wheel bearing replacement. Brenden lied to me said it was the transmission. I took my vehicle to another repair facility out of my warranty network to confirm it was the wheel bearing. I should have drove off once I head his negative comments about silver rock, but I was desperate need of the vehicle to be fixed. Also when I asked how did he diagnosed if it was a transmission issue. He replied he couldn’t because it’s a sealed transmission. How does anyone turn away business because they don’t want to deal with the long process is beyond me.

I got a flat tire and AAA came and replaced it with a donut. The AAA road technician told me not to drive too far or fast on it because it was just a donut. She also gave me the names of a few places to call to get a new tire, so I called Monro on 1550 Central Ave because it was nearby. I called and spoke to Brandon Blanchard, who was so nice and told me to “come on over,” so I did. He and his co-worker installed two new tires for me, aligned them, and also did a brief inspection. They discovered I was dangerously low on oil, so they also replaced my oil, all for a reasonable price. They were both so nice and helpful. I will definitely be returning!

The Assistant Manager Justin S. took the time to ho over everything I needed, explained everything in detail and even took the time to try to find me discounts I could use. Very knowledgeable, friendly and over and beyond the service I have received else. Kudos to the entire crew! You do an excellent job!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with manager of Colonie Monro, Brandon Blanchard! Exceptional customer service, excellent communication, and went above and beyond with explaining everything. It’s obvious he cares about his customers and their safety & experience with his business. I had an oil change, my rear lights and covers changed, and an inspection. All the work came out fabulous, with exceptionally reasonable pricing compared to competitors in the Capital region. I ended up here by accident but divinely timed. Brandon and Justin handled my error in giving me above and beyond what I expected or imagined. As I'm covered by SilverRock thanks to a Carvana car (do not recommend) I had 4 shoppes in the area to chose from. I chose one on Central Ave, but ended up at this one by a fluke. So glad that I did! These gentlemen provide respectful, urgent, mindful customer service. They ask, listen, and provide what you need by being proactive in meeting your possible needs even before they are expressed! Their shop at this time of year is festive. They provide a clean, comfortable, and joyful environment. They provide snacks. They accommodated a gentleman in a wheelchair in my midst with dignity and respect. All were treated like loyal customers in this place, even one who had to stay the night due to a tire blow from at least 4 hours away. They know their stuff. They are professional and efficient, and they charge a beyond fair price for red carpet, royalty treatment. Thank you! You were worth the tip from East Greenbush and I will be making it again for the simple to the complex...whatever comes my way thanks to your first impression. God bless!

Justin was amazing. He squeezed me in at the end of the day and didn't charge any crazy outrageous fees to replace the battery (that they blessedly had in stock) and do an inspection. Brought my truck in for a simple sensor swap. I had a cooling fan that wouldn’t turn off. Should have been a one day job. Two days max if they didn’t have the part. They strung me along for two weeks. It turns out one of the sensors threads into the engine block on my truck. They broke the engine block during repair. Damage was catastrophic and I needed a whole engine replacement. It would have been nice if they were transparent about that with me, but I had to bring my truck to An independent master technician to figure that out, and then back to the dealership where it was ultimately repaired on their insurance companies time. They turned $1000 sensor swap into a $17,000 engine replacement. And get this, once my new engine was installed, the dealership took my truck for a test drive. The PCV valve blew. Monroe Must have realized it was broken during their repair and instead of replacing it, they tried the JB welded it back together. As if that was not bad enough, the PCV valve is supposed to allow pressure to release through the valve. They JB welded it shut. So when the dealership test drove the vehicle, the pressure had nowhere to go and it blew. From early November to mid January I was without my truck while all this nonsense got rectified. Paying for rentals out of my pocket, tow truck charges, Diag from master technicians. All during the holidays, absolute hacks, take your business elsewhere. This place should be closed down.

First of all I can't tell you how happy I am what does service receive from Justin Schreiner. He was kind courteous explain everything to me period and for my safety I ended up getting two tires per his recommendation. It might I add he was here on the Sunday before Christmas by himself. He went above and beyond the store was clean he was friendly and he was Grace Under Pressure. He will be the reason I go back. 1/4/2026 UPDATE went again today. JUSTIN ALONE again today but was as pleasant and knowledgeable as ever . Would like the DM to get ahold of me . This shop is running well because of JUSTIN. 2nd time there and same great service 5 stars again.

All three guys working…friendly staff helped me out in an emergency. My wife had a flat tire bringing my daughter back to college. We hobbled there. He got it on for a plug. Noticed the tire wore on the rim and recommended a tire replacement and gave me a good price and did it right away. Very nice. Very quick. Price is price but service is what made it above and beyond.

The newly appointed manager, Justin Shreiner was amazing! After getting the run around from another company, I was advised to go to Justin’s location. Justin was able to get me in as soon as I arrived. He empathized with my issue and lack of communication from the other company and HE apologized on their behalf. He kept me updated about my service as it was occurring and made sure I was able to get in and out as needed. I will be coming here for my next oil change and told my husband he also needs to give this location his business.

Stopped by Monro today for Sable’s (my Volvo’s) NY state inspection and had a great, super quick experience. Justin helped us out—he was friendly, straightforward, and got everything taken care of without any hassle. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes, which honestly felt like a small miracle for anything car-related. 😅 Really appreciate how easy they made the whole process. Definitely recommend this location if you need an inspection or service. I’ll definitely be back when Sable needs anything else!
