Monro in Glenmont is my new go to shop for brakes and tires. The customer service at this location is top notch!! The employees are so nice and genuinely care about their customers. They didn't try to sell me anything I did not need. Just pure honesty and that I only needed back brakes. I had an appointment, they don't overbook, and had my tire rotation and new back brakes on and done. Special shout out to Krystal!! Such a nice lady and goes out of her way to explain everything and answer any questions you have. I would highly recommend this shop.

The staff kept me informed of progress on my repair, and the repair was timely & within expected time frame. Staff was very friendly as well. They recently upgraded the chairs in the waiting area which is very welcome (and was much needed), so that is appreciated. One simple & huge improvement they could make is to add a couple of power strips so that people can charge their computers or phones while they are waiting. Any / every other repair shop has power available to their waiting customers, however not a single Monro location seems to get this. I'd love to see it.

The website offered me an appointment time of 6:30 pm for an inspection, so I took it. I received a first email saying the appointment was scheduled, and then I later received a second email specifically saying the appointment was confirmed. When I arrived, I was told it was too late to perform the inspection. The person at the desk said they have tried to contact corporate to fix this website error, but I’m leaving this review to warn other potential customers not to take offered end of day appointments so that you don’t experience the same frustration and inconvenience that I did.

Went to Jiffy Lube to get just a simple tire plugged to technician that came out to my vehicle of what tire it was and that it was losing pressure. Technician is that OK after sitting inside for 20 minutes my vehicle was rolled out front and technician said everything was OK and they refilled tire with pressure. Technician also told me that that location they do not patch or plug tires which in my point of view was a complete waste of my time there usually don’t have any other issues. Just wish there was better communication.

This rating is based strictly off my last experience as previously I never had any complaints. Last time was an off day for them for sure. Went for an oil change/tire rotation which would also have a courtesy brake/battery check. It took a while for my car to get into the bay but once in, it got out pretty fast. Now I was heavily pressed for time so that could be a positive but the negative was it was almost certain they didn't perform everything expected. When Crystal called me up, she told me that they couldn't get the filter off my car due to the dealership putting it in too tight but they did change the oil. I understood and was just thankful they didn't break anything trying, and then talked about that while I paid. Then I asked if they did the tire rotation as well, and the mechanic was standing right next to her with what should've been a "yes" but instead looked off guard we'll say. Crystal then looked at the work order and saw it on there to semi confirm it happened. Again I needed to pick up my kids so I just wanted to hit the road but should've pressed them on the spot. So I get in the car and notice my wheel locks are on the floor versus the seat where I had them so I guess they did rotate the tires. Here's the thing though, I undoubtedly need new brakes or at least would've been given a quote and recommendation to set something up in the near future. That didn't happen so a brake inspection didn't happen which would've been automatic if they already had the tires off. You see what I'm saying here correct? Again I've always liked the place and both Anthony and Crystal are easy to call and actually talk to a real person, as well as being transparent with pricing. I myself will give it another shot most likely and this isn't a "stay away from those crooks" intended post. I didn't pay for any services I didn't receive, I just didn't get what was expected and asked for in the case of the tire rotation I believe. Hopefully just an off day again. Happy New Year to all!!

Yikes! Monroe has a "call center" now. We were not informed that we reached a call center and thought we were reaching local staff as usual. The call center quoted us an incorrect price, and on top of that said there was a "coupon" rather than a rebate for the service we received. We were surprised to receive our incorrect bill for a higher price than quoted and additionally no coupon deduction. We were told that the local service center is not responsible for incorrect information provided by the call center. We didn't know we reached a call center! We would have gotten a better price from our Honda dealership with no fanfare or rebates! We have been using Monroe for 26 years and felt trust. This is our first true disappointment. I hope Monroe Corporate hears from people and makes changes. Customers should know they are not speaking to their local service center!!!

Quality work, reasonable prices, and competent staff. Been going to Monro in Glenmont for 25 years and have been delighted with the service. Several times they could have snowed me into a much more expensive repair, but they offered a more reasonable solution that worked. This honesty has brought me back to this Monro location repeatedly and recommend them to friends. Both of the service managers, Antonio and Crystal, are knowledgeable and able to explain what work is needed and why.

I’ve gone here multiple times for multiple things and have always had a great experience. Anthony is wonderful. He goes above and beyond and is always very nice, upfront and honest. He treats everyone that walks in the same. I was able to make a same day appointment over the weekend for an oil change and my tires. I was so happy to get it taken care of and on short notice. This is a great location, highly recommend!
