I booked an appointment online for an oil change for a Nissan NV 3500. Upon arrival it was unclear where to go and chaotic due to the remodeling and construction zones. An associate stopped me, confirmed with me that I was driving an NV, and then directed me to drive to the garage. I arrive at the garage and while it is busy, I’m starting to feel ignored as I wait to enter. Another associate finally approaches me to let me know that he doesn’t think my van, with its roof rack, can be accommodated; and he lets me know that this location isn’t NV certified. I am turned away from getting an oil change and advised to call locations to confirm that they are NV Certified prior to arrival for an oil change. First, I suggest that associates know what their garage door clearance is rather than eyeballing and guessing if a vehicle can clear a door (my van clears 9’ 6” and the door appeared to be either 10 or 11’). Second, if a location cannot service an NV 2500 or 3500, then it should not be possible to book an appointment for that make and model online: disable that option from the user interface and communicate to your user that the location is not NV Certified and cannot accommodate an oil change.

Nissan of Athens has been taking care of myself and my family for over a decade. In the world of customer care and business in general, I’m sure there’s no finer human being than Jerry Booker. He has cultivated a culture of excellence at this location, and the service department is second to none. Serge has been my representative within the service department, and I cannot say enough good things about him and the way I’ve been treated by the entire staff there. Tony has also been an integral part in making sure my needs have been met, both on my vehicle itself and me personally while I wait for service. I have no idea if this is how all Nissan dealerships are run, but this place is so amazing that I’ll be a lifelong customer.
