Got my car repaired by this guy some months ago by Steve’s team. They replaced a no start issue that I had already diagnosed on my own however they insisted on diagnosing it themselves to be certain that’s the issue. Luckily it was. When I had called ahead of time to get a quote on the cost of repair Steve said it would be roughly $550. He sent his mechanic Jose to work on it (He wears thick black prescription glasses.) The dude bent my splash shield plate in half and left it that way without saying a word. Took the main issue out and returned to replace it after doing about five minutes of diagnostics. When he tried to put everything back into place he was unsuccessful and I was stuck on the side of the road for a whole day. He was having a hard time getting the bolt to catch onto the thread and that caused me to be stranded on the side of the road. He wasn’t sure why but Steve decided to send his master mechanic out to do it instead. The next day when the tech was supposed to be here, he was late. By two hours. I kept having to call Steve himself multiple times asking where the hell this guy is and the only answer this guy could give me was a “sorry, this doesn’t usually happen”. Both technician’s had a hard time finding my location even though it was a publicly accessible area commonly traveled. After doing the repair my original quote of $550 suddenly was a $610 repair instead. Also had the master tech been unable to get the bolt to catch onto the thread that would’ve been an extra charge of $100 to complete the job. Thankfully no re-threading was necessary. I’m thankful for the repair however the experience was far from sub-par. Bare minimum IMO. Bent my cars splash shield, needed two techs to do one job, severe lack of communication from Steve, inaccurate quote, increased the price on me after asking for the quote, techs were late, and just generally disappointed in the way things turned out. Two stars for doing the bare minimum.

Max worked on my car and replaced the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and hoses. The job was done professionally and the car is running great now with no overheating issues. Max explained everything clearly and the work was completed in a timely manner. He’s the only technician I’d want working on my car for future services, and I’d definitely recommend him.

I had a mechanic come to my house to diagnose why my car wouldn't start. I had the battery replaced about a year ago, so I thought it was something more. After the mechanic checked it out, they said it was likely the auxiliary battery, and they'd have to source one for me. Later they called and said my car doesn't have an auxiliary battery, so they just replaced the regular battery. Each time the mechanic left without letting me know. When I came out to check my car, I started it, and it was giving me several different errors - SOS functionality limited, low tire pressure and top not latched. The error signals are large, persistent, and hard to miss. It feels like they should have given me a heads up. Now I have an appointment with a different mechanic to fix that, since it sounds like it's the sensor system battery that may need changing. Almost $1000 to replace a car battery feels exhorbinate, when Im pretty sure they didnt fix the actual issue or notify me of a new one that cropped up.

Smooth process. Great to work with. I'm currently out of the country, so it was great having a mobile mechanic able to help me get my car in California fixed (alternator and belt replaced). David in the office was very helpful and, I think the tech name was Aziz, was able to get the car back up and running in a timely manner. Pricing was reasonable, especially considering they came to me and i didn't have to have car towed somewhere. Thank you!!

I was in a tough situation and NOVO made my life a lot easier. I needed to drive down to SoCal to visit my sister and was not able to get my brakes changed beforehand due to the urgent nature of the visit. I knew I needed to get the brakes changed before my 9 hour drive back up for my peace of mind and fast. My friend told me that NOVO repairs come to you and that was perfect. They came to my sister’s apartment complex and changed the brakes right there, they were very fast too I was able to get lunch and come back to a fully finished car. I felt secure in my long drive back home and even now a month later my car is still great. They were professional, prompt, and reasonably priced considering they come to you and accommodate your schedule. What more can you ask for? I told my little sister to call them if she needs any car help down there. Thank you NOVO for making my SoCal visit easy and stress free!

I did my own repair and it didn’t work, they had someone out within an hour and got it figured out in no time. Very friendly and professional, most of the deposit goes to cost of repair, and he found a few things that needed fixing but didn’t pressure me to do it right away. Even tightened a few things up that he noticed were loose and talked me through everything. Great service, immediately passed the number to my neighbor who was looking for help with his truck.

I had a great experience with NOVO Mobile Mechanic in San Diego. My car wouldn’t start, and Eric came out and did a full, thorough diagnostic to figure out exactly what was going on. He was extremely communicative, honest, and walked me through everything step by step so I understood what he was checking and why. Eric was patient, spent a lot of time troubleshooting, and never made me feel rushed or brushed off when I asked for updates or questions. I was especially grateful that they were able to help on a Sunday, since I needed my car running to get back to work the next day. Miguel was professional, positive, & methodical. You could see the quality of work experience & knowledge from start to finish. A true master of his trade at work, I genuinely mean that. Chevy Silverado 2500 HD 6.6L was not starting, started troubleshooting on basics diagnostics, visuals, fuel etc. Conclusion: Pesky air in the fuel line was bled out, and heard her start right up. Music to my ears. :) First off received same day service at my home. Miguel arrived at my door at 2:34 p.m. & my vehicle was up and running by 4:05. The service is convenient, and beats having to pay a tow and then a shop, costs adding up etc. Suited my scenario exactly, and I'll be sure to spread the good word to my peers if they are ever in a rut. Again fixed my issue with care and urgency, I unfortunately will have to tell my boss I'll be in for work first thing tomorrow morning. ;) Gracias Miguel & NOVO repairs! 🙏

BEWARE!: Genius business model to get people to PAY inspection FEES UPFRONT for no work performed or even proposed. HORRIBLE! Spoke to Steve multiple times after multiple messages. I called them before agreeing to do business with them in order to ask if they did timing on diesel engines and was told yes. After negotiating a discounted diagnostic fee upfront, the dispatched mechanic reported back that it has engine codes(I knew already and needed timing only). Still no proposal after over a month of waiting and contacting them. I don’t trust it would be done properly or at all at this point and wouldn't do business with them. Had them look at another van I had a battery issue w due to it being stolen and damaged. After multiple visits from the mechanic and multiple UP-CHARGES due to extra time they said, and still no solution or repair proposal from them. The guy tore all kind of wires and made more of a mess. DO NOT USE THEM. Only my experience sadly. Hoped for a different result. After finally getting ahold of them, he said a guy quit and refused refund of diagnostic fees even though I never got a diagnostic. BEWARE!!! Will be posting on Yelp and BBB as well to make sure people are aware of the process. I should have checked Yelp first because they show the actual experience of customers. Google rating is not accurate in my experience.

NOVO Repairs is hands down one of the best mechanics in SoCal!!! Definitely will be coming back to them again for all my car repairs and services. Incredible service from start to finish! I brought my car in for a battery replacement, and I’m genuinely impressed by how quick the whole process was. The mechanic was very honest, which is a very rare quality in mechanics. He was also very professional and took the time to walk me through exactly what needed to be done before touching anything on my car. Pricing was transparent and completely fair, they had no hidden fees like most mechanics. Absolutely recommend NOVO Repairs, they’re the best mechanics in town!!!

Huge thank you to Steve and Eric for helping me out! Had a bolt that was missing a head and was impossible to get out. Steve helped me out and came quickly to replace my spark plugs, and Eric came and helped get the bolt loose. Both were super friendly and nice to be around, they double checked to make sure everything was good and made sure no codes popped up. 10/10 recommend if you need a service done!

This company is awesome! I started my brakes thinking I could fully finish them, but got midway through until I realized I didn’t have all the tools I needed. I called and max came out within maybe 20 minutes after I called, found where I was at bc I was outside of a neighborhood and in a weird area, and he took care of my brakesand rotars and had me on the road in no time with brand new brakes and rotars. The best part, the guy knew what he was doing and was done in no time. That wasn’t even the best part. They took care of me for over 100 dollars less than the average tire or brake shop here in San Diego. If you are on the fence about using this service, don’t hesitate and do it, they are fast, efficient, and will have your car needs taken care of super quickly and with no issues. 10/10 service, 10/10 results, thank you guys for the great work!

This company is a scam company.they came and we discussed repairing a coolant reservoir and I paid a deposit so they could get the parts. They came and destroyed my car. They took it apart asked me to pay 1200 more dollars and then when I told them I just wanted to fix reservoir they left my car in pieces literally didn't connect anything. Then when they must have gotten upset for me not wanting to pay an additional 1200 on top of the 471, they charged my card and then left it like this. They then poured coolant into my oil tank and left it in there for me to see. If you zoom in you can see the coolant in the cracks of the engine. The coolant tank is on the right driver side. The oil tank completely onthe left. If you want to pay someone to destroy your car call STEVE he is the theif and the people working there are incompetent.i can't even believe it. I now have to tow my car because nothing is connected and he left everything like this for money. Reporting him to BBB and automotive. Don't waste your time with these thieves

What an amazing service. Highly recommend. Rolled into San Diego Saturday afternoon in a roads trip from Baja Mex to Idaho to full front brake failure. Google search said closest mechanic was closed but this mobile service was available. Called, they answered, explained the service and fees ($185 for the diagnosis but $100 goes to the repair), told me the guy was in the area and would be an hour. Showed up in an hour, diagnosed, got parts from part store and fixed just like that. Personable, helpful, never felt my threatened or scammed. Showed us the dead and MISSING break pads. Drive with us after the repair to ensure and explain the seating process. So convenient not having to call a tow truck and figure out which mechanic might have been open and then have parts, etc. honestly a real life saver. Great innovative service offering. THANK YOU!!!!

Great service! I had my car at the Cbx parking lot I give them a call and Eric showed up fast,checked my car and find out what was wrong it in minutes. He went to get the parts and started working right after,he explained to me it was the oil pan/oil change I called different mobile mechanics and Novo was the only ones who decided to help me. Service fee was $185 but $100 goes to the rapair.Steve always called to check if everything was okay and Eric was open to answer questions I had. we contacted Novo when our car recently experienced issues. their mechanic came out that afternoon and diagnosed an issue with the starter & ignition switch. Steve was our primary contact and he explained the process which first involved sourcing the parts for our vehicle, which while in very good condition, is a 1996 import model. while it took a day or two to locate and receive the parts, they stayed in touch and completed the repairs in time for us to maintain our travel schedule. we appreciate their efforts in going the extra mile!
