Joseph has become my gold standard of massage therapy. He is a true master at what he does. He super gently released my psoas that was causing me so much pain, I'm still feeling the benefit months later. It's like he has a secret map for your body. He is an amazing practitioner and highly recommend you visit him, you'll be hooked!

I’ve been nearly exclusively going to Joseph Kairos of Organic Mechanic for several years now—he provides the best massage therapy I’ve ever received! He’s very knowledgeable about body mechanics and spends the perfect amount of time addressing tight/ injured areas. He also applies perfect pressure and uses his hands more often than his elbows (unlike other massage therapists I’ve been to), resulting in a better overall experience for me. He’s also a really nice person who provides a comfortable, safe and respectful environment, which is most important when receiving massage services. He’s often booked out months in advance so I hesitate to draw more clients to him, but I could not recommend his services more!

I just had my first massage with Joseph Kairos of Organic Mechanic. Having experienced many styles of massage from many different countries and practitioners over the years, I’d have to say this was probably in my top five to seven best massages that I’ve ever received. It was easy to book through his system and reschedule if I needed to. Joseph was very professional and what I really appreciated was that he was very thorough, attentive and present during the massage. Besides checking in a couple of times, he didn’t talk, which I like. Also, I can tell when massage therapists are just going through the motions and he definitely wasn’t doing that. He gave me a full body massage in just an hour which is pretty awesome, since many therapists skip the arms for just an hour massage. His work on my back, arms and neck were phenomenal and so soothing I felt tears coming to my eyes, I was able to release even emotional tension. His office is on a lower floor of an older, bigger building, so though I certainly heard a number of random noises coming from the hallway and above, he played the music loud enough that it didn’t bother me too much. Being a yoga/meditation teacher, and sound therapy practitioner, I’m used to using distractions to help me go deeper. I also liked that he had a special pad to put under me when I was face down, which is nice for women to not have to get swished in the chest area. The room felt warm enough and the table heat was just right as well. Though he doesn’t do insurance billing himself, he said it’s possible to send a super bill to my insurance myself, so I’m going to look into that for the future as I’d love to continue getting massages here. And one final thing I like is that his prices are set in such a way that he doesn’t expect tips, which is nice to not have to worry about. I definitely recommend organic mechanic the next time you want to treat yourself or someone else with an amazing massage!

I am a massage therapist and I have had many massages over the years. Some of those were with Joseph at Organic Mechanic LLC in Bellingham, WA. Because I live on the East coast of the US, I don't get to see Joseph as much as I want. If you want a therapist that is highly trained with an incredible intuition about what needs to be accomplished during each massage to promote maximum healing and relaxation, then Joseph is the best choice for you. Joseph's demeanor is pleasant and his energy is very calm, thus, your session will be a peaceful respite from the world. The residents of Bellingham are so very fortunate to have Jospeh as part of their Healing Community. I cannot say enough about this therapist's abilities. You should go see him if you are fortunate enough to live near Jospeh's office in WA state.

On every trip to Portland OR. we made sure to schedule with Joseph at Organic Mechanic. His new community in Bellingham now has an extremely talented massage therapist. After several active decades in sports I've accumulated some body damages that can be relieved by massage. I've learned that I don't need to detail these to Joesph since he is very sensitive to the state of my body and works through my troubled areas during the session. After each session both my "challenging" areas plus overall physical and mental balance are in a much better place. Always amazed at his talents and looking forward to my next session with Joseph.

I’m going to be echoing what others are saying, because it’s the truth. Joseph is - by far - the best massage therapist I’ve ever had. I’ve been a client for the last five years and he will be impossible to replace here in Portland, but people in Bellingham will be the beneficiaries! What I have most appreciated about Joseph is his intuitive approach, the way he listens to what I say as well as what my body is saying, and his incredible patience and focus. While I started with him as I recovered from shoulder surgery, I have been very grateful for his care and compassionate support as I navigate various life changes. I wish him well and think anyone wouldl be lucky to have him as a caregiver!

I had an LMD lymph drainage session with Joseph. It was very relaxing and my posture improved as well as my legs feeling lighter with better range of motion. My left hip and leg were no longer tight after the session. Next day my morning run was lighter, faster, bouncier and freer. Thank you Joseph!!!! I highly recommend Joseph for massage and LMD. My wife had massage as well a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the effect. Joseph is an absolute gem of a massage therapist and human. I almost don't want word to get out so he's not too full to see me AND he provides such a valuable experience and should be honored for the work he does.
