Our service experience here was not good. We took our 2021 Kia Telluride in for damage sustained to our sunroof. Apparently, after speaking with multiple employees, this make and model of Kia is known to have issues with the deflector breaking. This issue becomes so severe that the entire sunroof assembly must be replaced, a job with parts and labor (9 hours), costs just north of $4,000 - a sum equal to about 6-9 months of car payments. Fortunately for us, we had a 10-year, 100,000-mile Powertrain Warranty. Unfortunately, our vehicle had about 74k miles and exterior malfunctions as these are only covered up until 60k miles. Rather than make an exception to a very common (and expensive) flaw in these vehicles, I was directed to either pay over $4k out of pocket or file a claim with my auto insurance, which was explained to me is very rare they cover issues such as these. I opted to try to get my insurance to cover it. The service representatives wished me luck and stated that they rarely, if ever, see these come back approved. Fortunately for us, after several weeks of waiting, our insurance approved the claim, and I was only out the $1,000 insurance deductible out of pocket. The principle of the matter is that because this is a common flaw known by Kia, they should either turn this into a recall or honor exceptions for loyal customers who have owned multiple Kia vehicles. Most of the service department representatives were very short with me when I would call, one even trying to make claims to my insurance company about what caused the damage without knowing for certain (even if they’ve seen these issues many times) what was the root cause - something that could easily derail a very borderline insurance case. Service reps should let the independent assessors do their jobs and not insert their own opinions. Once the claim was approved, a check was issued to the dealership. It is their policy to wait until they receive payment to order any parts, even though they had possession of my vehicle. Basic business practice would be to keep possession of my car until they received payment in full, if they were so concerned that a customer would not pay, rather than trust their customer and order the parts so as to avoid delays in repair while waiting on a check from insurance. After they did finally receive the check, they told me I would have to drive to the dealership and pay in person, knowing that I lived over two hours away. We are in the year 2025, so I found it hard to believe that they only had one method of payment. After pressing the representative, she stated that her service manager had instated this rule, however, there was an online option to pay that I wasn’t initially afforded. After consulting her service manager, I was sent a direct link to an easy-to-use online invoice which took me no more than one minute to fill out and pay. Why wasn’t I afforded this opportunity in the first place? The good news is that the parts came in only two days after payment was satisfied, and the repair work was done promptly after that. I asked if they could vacuum out the interior, and they said that would be fine. We drove up there the next day, and when we received the invoice, it was explained that they hadn’t even vacuumed the car. This was the final straw for me which prompted my review. Is this the type of service that the general manager of Orr Kia is aware of? Does corporate leadership at Kia condone this type of treatment? I’ve had excellent service at other Kia dealers and drove out of my way from Leesville (yes, I’m active duty) because of some bad experiences in Alexandria and Lake Charles, hoping Orr Kia would be different. Provided are photos of the inside of our front seat floor mats because they couldn’t even clean up after their work was performed. It would be nice to have the general manager reach out and have a conversation about what could happen differently in the future or further explain these cumbersome policies if they are indeed written policies.

Had a fantastic experience here with TJ. We bought a new 26 Kia Carnival. He was very attentive and respectful of our time and considerate of our children. He was able to locate the model we wanted and transported it from Houston for us. This was probably the best experience we’ve ever had at a dealership and I felt like they actually cared I was there and spending my money with them. I can’t recommend them enough. They even offered to deliver the car to our house, but we ended up going and picking it up. The whole process was exceptional and quick and easy. I’m actually in the market for a used truck now. I think I may just wait until they have one I want and go back because they were just that good and I went to another dealership (not Orr) and the experience was terrible and ended up walking away even though it was a good deal. I highly recommend visiting Orr Kia. They seem like they will take care of you and actually care you are spending your hard earned money with them.

Had a very unpleasant experience,Went right next door to Heberts where it wasn't a hassle to get the information I needed . They provided a carfax AND a copy of the UCI upon request . Heberts was $1000 less on the same vehicle. Orr Kia became very defensive when I pointed out a few things about the vehicle I was purchasing. Sales person couldn't answer basic questions. It looked like he was new at sales. I do not recommend
