Did Valve Stem Seal's on my car cheaper than I thought it would be and when it was idling rough when I first got the car back he offered to do a free diagnostic to find the problem I show up to find out that one of the tech's unhooked the battery and it was just relearning the computer. No problems with staff as they were real nice and professional

My car was constantly running horrible, ever since i got the car last year. The car was blowing clouds of white smoke and was only running on 3 cylinders. Took it to Gary here at Otto Performance and he took care of me. Everybody there knows what theyre doing and got me right back on the road! my car has never ran so good! Its like a whole different car, couldn’t thank them enough!

Gary Otto, the proprietor, and his team of mechanics have a wealth of expertise in stock and highly modified engines, powertrains and chassis maintenance and design, from daily drivers to exotic sports cars. Mr. Otto did an impressive job fabricating and installing a 'show quality' custom stainless steel exhaust system for a '69 Mustang. The result was remarkable! It is refreshing in this day of quick fixes and cutting corners, to find a true craftsman who shows attention to detail, high quality fabrication and installation, excellent communication skills and documentation of job progress via photographs and comments, timely work completion, at a fair cost to the consumer.

These guys are amazing! They were able to slide me in and fix the problem right the first time. Don’t go to any other mechanic. They are well versed on all kinds of cars!!

I had my timing belt and water pump changed with Gary a few months ago on my 1999 Ford Contour and he did a hell of a job for a 1/3 of the price that Ford wanted! He's worked on cars all over the world - including Greece where I was staying at the same time he was in the air force there! My only complaint is that I can't hear the engine running anymore - it's too quiet! Thanks Gary!

I took my Monte Carlo in for a diagnosis on my alignment. They found the heart of the problem, explained the causes, and put the best solutions in front of me. They didn't overcharge me and my car has never run so smooth in the entire time I've owned it. If you can get an appointment with them, do it!

When a close friend recommended Gary, I thought....well its probably just another shop. Boy, I was wrong. Gary and his team were informing, sending pictures of progress the whole time. Thats a plus for me, instead of the "before and after". He goes into depth as well as educating you on what exactly he is doing to help get your ride back on the road. He will have my business for a long time.

Gary did a lot of work on my older Corvette that nobody else in town would. Quickly diagnosed a problem that other shops couldn't, and kept me informed during the repairs. I'm happy with the work done at Otto.

Great experience, will be recommending to friends & family! I got a quote from another place in town for some extensive work on my car. Gary explained the process & couldn't understand how they were charging so much. Needless to say I appreciated his honesty & integrity, thank you Gary!

If you know Gary, you know that he runs his shop with a people-first mentality. He's knowledgable, generous, honest, and kind. He goes above and beyond to serve his customers in a timely fashion, and to do so while delivering the most cost-effective, high-quality work. He strikes a good balance of diagnosing problems, sharing what work must be done, and using parts that last. I left with a hug and kept thinking, "You know you've found a good mechanic when you're worried about being under-charged." I saw how hard Gary works, and wanted to be sure he and his team were being compensated well for the amazing work they do. I met Gary when I found myself struck on the side of the freeway traveling through Lincoln, Nebraska, 21 hours into my trip from Arizona to Minnesota. Though late in the day, Gary was quick to say they'd be able to look at my vehicle. That night, he generously offered me a ride to my hotel and picked me up the next morning. When my vehicle continued to have problems, he was quick to rescue me off the freeway yet again, and continued to diagnose the cascade of issues it was having due a faulty alternator. I remained in Lincoln for 5 days as we waited on parts and discovered new issues. On my drive home, Gary called twice to make sure that the vehicle was running well and I was safely on my way home to Minnesota. During my time in Lincoln, I was able to see Gary's love of cars and problem solving, though what was most obvious was his care and compassion for those who came into his shop. When they couldn't deliver a part until the next day, Gary went to get it. When we discovered that we needed a second key to program my new PCM, he jumped in the car and off we went. When a customer needed to drop off their rental, he offered to follow them and pick them up, ensuring that she didn't have to figure out another plan to get her vehicle back. When a customer needed their car on Monday, he came in at the crack of dawn on Sunday to get it done. He showed the same care and compassion for each person and each vehicle, from the many restored vintage cars that fill his shop, to the hotrods with more power than I can comprehend, to the 11 year old trucks like my own. I think the hardest part about meeting Gary is that I have a new standard for finding a mechanic close to home. Had I ended up at a different mechanic, I can only imagine how stressful those 5 days of extensive car repairs would have been. Instead I can truly say that my time in Lincoln, Nebraska was a blessing. A big thank you to Gary and Adam for the many hours of work they put into my vehicle, especially while still taking care of the other vehicles that had scheduled repairs. And thank you to their families, as I know that helping me out led to some later nights and longer weekends at the shop. Words cannot accurately sum up my gratitude, so I'll just keep repeating myself: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I took my Evo 9 to him to have my headers changed it was supposed to be a 3-4 hr job but ended up taking 4 days including a Saturday, but Gary came in on his day off to have the car done for me cause i needed it for a car show later that day and he did a excellent job. He also has worked on my Mazda RX8 which has rotary engine in it and SAVED ME A LOT OF MONEY. He also is doing a tune up on my dads Mercedes. HE CAN WORK ON ANY CAR AND KNOWS HIS STUFF. I would recommend him to anyone, He's a great guy to work with and his prices are very reasonable.

I’ve never had a more pleasant experience than the one given at Otto Gave them a call fairly late in the week, just a few days before a 7,000 mile road trip. Even though they were completely booked, Gary still said they could squeeze me in during the morning to help me out I was able to fix my issue prior to the appointment time, but it was still amazing to have that experienced. I will return to Otto with any future issues

I took my car to Sid Dillon because it wouldn’t start, and I was originally told I needed a new engine. A family member recommended I get a second opinion and take my car to Otto Performance, and I’m so glad I did. They were able to fix my car without replacing the engine and even gave me a 3-year warranty on the replaced part. The mechanics explained everything clearly so I could understand what caused the problem. They are very welcoming, friendly, and truly know what they’re doing. I highly recommend them if you’re having issues with your car — they saved me a lot of money and stress.
