He's my mechanic for my F250 Super duty. Once had it towed there because it wasn't starting. Jose checked it and it was just low on oil. Instead of making something up or charging me... Jose called and said.. there is nothing wrong with your truck.. you just need to add some oil. I went and picked it up and he didn't charge me anything. Honesty like this is hard to find.

Jose answered the phone when we called regarding RV alternator problems. We took our HM to P&V Diesel business for him to see what he could do for our problem. He seemed very nice and helpful but when it came to our problem with the alternator he stated that the voltage regulator wasn't working properly and we needed to purchase a new one. I stated that the voltage reg. was inside of the alternator and he said no its external. (which it is internal). What I'm saying is this I wouldn't go to his business with a electrical RV problem don't think he knows this end of the business.

If you're in need of diesel repair while in the Coachella Valley, Jose is your guy. My motorhome had an issue and I wanted to bring it to his yard. It was in limp mode so it would have been a pain. Jose went out of his way to come to my place after he finished at his shop. He brought his computer and ran a diagnostic on my engine and transmission. I'm so glad to have met him.

so i am very cynical of reviews but had to find a truck mechanic locally and took a chance on P&V. had a leak and just needed to know how much to fix. stopped by P&V and Jose was just finishing up with a BIG truck customer. I explained what i could and he jumped under the truck and then the hood , right there in the parking lot . after maybe 10 min he explained that it was from something that spiled inside the truck and the engine n other mechanical parts were fine. I was more than glad to hear this news and expected a $40 or $50 charge. when i ask him how much? he said nothing because he didnt do any work. ANY other place would have charged a fee (ford dealer wanted $99 just to look). So pretty telling that Jose would be so reasonable that i have to think that his work and prices are the same . so i hope this review will encourage more customers to try P&V

Jose and the crew at P & V were outstanding. Our 35 foot motor home broke down outside of Indio. They were considerate and very helpful. They quickly identified the problem. The next day, they had parts ordered from Los Angles and courier to Indio. Although the parts arrived late in the day, they stayed and repaired the engine well into the night. Another factor for my rating is that they were very friendly and helpful. I felt at home while they were working on our rig or waiting for parts. This is a family run business and the pride shows.

Back in 2020 I bounced my truck through one too many potholes and managed to sever my fan clutch wiring harness while driving around BLM land next to Joshua Tree. With my truck camper attached! Next morning I limped my way over to P & V Diesel in Indio. Lucky for me a replacement part was in stock at a local auto parts store. The mechanics at P & V generously took time out of their busy day and got me back on the road by mid afternoon. Five stars and a big thank you to the gentlemen at P & V Diesel. And a hearty thank you to P & V for looking after the neighborhood cats!

My family and I were traveling to the river in Parker AZ & had stopped in Indio for food when my BF noticed a leak in his truck. He & his dad assessed the issue & knew it wasn’t a small problem , it needed to be fixed ASAP. He found P&V Diesel & thank God we did. They put everything on hold & spent several hours in the hot sun trying to get us back on the road as soon as possible. After fixing the first issue, they even noticed something additional that needed to be done and had the part there in 15 minutes. The price was extremely reasonable and In no time we were back on the road. My BF & his dad enjoyed talking with the guys working on the truck, Jose & his cousin. Overall they not only provided great customer service & work, but they are just great people in general. We can’t thank them enough for what they did for us!

Had my motor home towed to P and V. Jose had the computer diagnostic tools to properly find the problem. He ordered our part and the next day we were on our way. His shop rate is reasonable and he doesn't pad the bill. We were able to plug in to electricity and stay the night until the repair was complete. A great shop!

Jose is fantastic and saved our vacation. Some alternative fuel got into our diesel Sprinter RV tank, and I was stranded on I-10. I had to find a reputable place to tow the rig to and make the fixes. We contacted P & V / Jose and he worked with us / Plaza towing to get the rig to his shop. He has plenty of experience with this and explained the flushing process, and what’s involved. Jose worked extremely hard to get us back on the road to Arizona. His price was very fair, and his personal attention and skill is fantastic. Don’t hesitate to contact P & V if you need assistance with a Diesel rig.

I came here because of the good reviews, but I was very disappointed. They spilled and cleaned my diesel tank, replaced the fuel filter twice, and kept me waiting for 3 days. In the end, they told me my truck could not be fixed, but still charged me $3,300. Lilliput Jose was just sitting around drinking beer instead of working. I would never recommend this shop to anyone.

If you have diesel engine problems Jose is the guy that knows I have 1996 8.3 Cummings all the other mechanics wanted to plug in to diagnose It doesn't have a obd1 port I told Jose what the symptoms were And within 5min he found the problem A cracked throttle arm would not give you full peddle so reduced power He didn't over charge for his services

We were in a bind with a DEF issue on my 2015 Ram 2500 and were visiting from Reno, NV. The Ram dealership was of no help. I called P&V and talked to Jose. I dropped off my truck on a Wednesday morning and picked it up Wednesday afternoon. Jose tried to not take our money until we drove it for a few days to make sure the truck issue was fixed. I paid him an incredibly low price and our truck was fixed. We made it home to Reno with no issues. Jose and P&V were awesome. I would go back in a heart beat if I ever needed help.
