Barney is just the BEST! While John Deere equipment somewhat sells itself, Barney is the best salesman and TEACHER one could hope for. He fully explained all aspects of the financing, servicing needs and warranties. Then when he delivered the tractor and mower he took all the time I needed to learn how to operate and maintain my new “toys.” I couldn’t be happier with the entire process - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going to Valley Truck & Tractor… and ask for Barney.❤️

I believe the Service Dept. at Valley Truck and Tractor could use some serious improvement. My wife's family have bought mowers tractors and tools from Valley T&T since before I've known them (20 years). I recently took our riding mower to them along with a Stihl chainsaw. The turnover time on the mower service was two weeks ( after being told 5 day minimum). I myself have worked in retail product service and repair for five years. My problem the service dept at VT&T is that not once did anyone there seem to have a clue as to the status of my service after waiting a seven days to contact them. I understand a place being busy. You stay in contact with your customers. On day twelve of 14 I called and asked about my mower and was told the tech had only just started on it, I could pick it up the next day. I called before going, I asked if they could go over everything that was done only to find that two things (replacing the battery and sharping the blade still wasn't done. I picked up the mower day 14 with no acknowledgement on the part of VT&T that anything was wrong. I won't be going back. And the chainsaw? ...9 day turnaround on a general tune-up service. They service tech was kind enough to knock off the labor charge for replacing the chain...for my inconvenience. In my opinion..VT&T prioritizes farmers, and people that buy their heavy equipment. Middle-age African American customers go to the bottom of the queue and are low priority.

Did a lot of research and narrowed it down to two brands. Couple things that helped make the final choice was the sales people and service department. I am willing to pay for good service and equipment. When the equipment is almost equal in performance and maintenance. Then it comes down to service and available parts. So instead of negotiating price I interviewed the service manager. Great guy and team. Tylor the salesman is very knowledgeable and willing to help you out … he has been out to my place twice when he could have easily said I need to come to him. This is the place for anything John Deere. I came in for a home service kit for my John Deere riding mower and couldn’t find one on the shelf. The parts person asked if needed help less than thirty seconds in to my search. Unfortunately, JD doesn’t make a service kit for my mower I was told by the parts person. However, he put a service kit together for me. Now is that Great service or what?

My first visit to VT&T. Friendly service, good inventory; if you're looking for a tractor or a riding mower. I was not. Instead, I was looking for a replacement needle to repair the carburetor of my John Deere riding mower. It's a common part I expected to easily find at an authorized John Deere dealer. No. The part was not in stock, it had to be ordered. By happenstance, I drove by and saw Clark & Sons on Starr Drive. What a little gold mine! The gentleman behind the counter knew exactly what I was looking for, just from my description of my problem. He went to the back and returned with the exact part I needed. Now I won't have to wait a week to fix my mower.

These guys are top notch! Travis Baker was super helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and helped us pick the right tractor for our needs! He followed through on his promises, including a Christmas Eve delivery and walk thru! He and the other staff addressed all of our questions and continues with follow up a couple of times to make sure our tractor was meeting our needs and that we were understanding it and the handling/operations. What a great place. After considering other make (especially kubota) we are pleased with the value and sturdier build of our American made John Deere!

Transmission rebuild on my 4650 was great. The mechanic-Bob was easy to work with and explained well the problem he found and other issues that we’re developing. The tractor was fixed well with no lingering problems and in a reasonable amount of time. The price was reasonable considering all the labor and parts involved. I was happy with the service departments friendliness, communication and progress updates. I would recommend Valley Tractor to a friend.

We had been looking for the right tractor for our 19 acre ranch. We had gotten the run around and salesman trying to sell us a smaller version of what we wanted. Thanks to Jose Madrigal we now have the perfect tractor with the elements I asked for. From the moment he became involved things went smoothly. We explained what we needed and he found everything. He was so kind and professional. He personally delivered the tractor to my ranch and walked me through the process of using all my emplements and stayed until i was comfortable with the tractor. Watch out for their drivers!! I don't think they check the driving abilities of their drivers. One of them who was making a right turn blew through a stop sign while I was going 55 and I had to swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid him. He then proceeded to ride my bumper like I was at fault for the next 10 miles. I hope they know who they have representing their company on the road. Stay safe out there everyone!

Jose sold us our first tractor and since then we have had to purchase some different attachments to get some work done. Jose from day one has exceeded our expectations with his awesome customer service and vast knowledge of john deere products. Jose and his team were and are amazing!!! Our dogs love chasing squirrel around our property . Well Friday our dogs chased a squirrel into our JD tractor engine cover. As it was happening in slow motion, we called for the dogs but somehow our shepherd had got a hose off and a clear fluid was draining out all over he dog, ground and the tractor. We called Jose, we sent him a picture. He said it was the fule line and explained how to fix it and asked us to update him. My granddaughter was able to follow Jose's directions and got the fule line put back on and fix what the dogs broke. We sent Jose a picture of it done and thanked him. Earlier this week he followed up to see if our tractor was good and he is doing great, we only lost a quarter tank of gas. Blessed we caught it as it happened, could of been worse! Blessed Jose answered so quickly and was knowledgeable to help us fix the problem. Just Blessed we got a JD tractor and a team with it. Thanks again everyone in yuba city.
